@@AngelsintheGlen Love your breakdown of Daniel. I'm going to watch them all. One concern about this lesson @ 9:25. The Torah is genealogical in that it continues even with Abraham. Agreed, anyone who believes in Christ is his children, Jew or Greek, however literally a nation was born through seed, (sperm) from Abraham. Again, genealogical begot to begot etc. All children of Abraham were 'not' Chosen to be light to gentiles. Abraham begot Isaac and Ishmael. Isaac begot Jacob and Esau. Only through Jacob was the law of TMH given and a great nation was prophesied to come through them. The Isralites fell from grace due to iniquity, were removed from high status - book of Lamentations, and were cursed to now be below all nations Deuteronomy 28 and other books of the prophets across the old Testament i.e. Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel. Just wanted to clarify. I was also taught at a young age that all people who believe in Christ are from Abraham. We are forgetting the seed. Remember the seed (sperm), and bloodlines are literal. Everyone is not cursed like the Jews who are of the diaspora of Jacob whose forefather is Abraham. It was BEcause the Israelites were wicked, that now Christ became a never-ending, living sacrifice--stepping in--so the world will have a chance. The Israelites were stumbling blocks to the world. That's what would connect the nations, jew and Greek, i.e. Israelite and gentile--Christ's death, sacrifice, and resurrection--not forefather Abraham. Seems to be a common misconception. 😌

I absolutely appreciate this in depth study of Daniel. I learned more from this study in listening and relistening to the more hard to understand studies about the Bible in 2 weeks than I've learned from the Bible in 43 years. Everytime I would go to read my Bible, it was so hard to understand because it would flip from the literal realm to the spiritual realm, and I wouldn't get this concept and I would get so confused and not understand so I would just give up. You have helped me to understand now what is happening and how to understand the difference. You're such a great teacher. I can't wait for the Revelation teachings to come out so that I can finally understand what is coming because although many have taught it, I have yet to grasp what is going on. I do not want to be deceived. I know for sure the way you broke the book of Daniel down in this Bible study, I'll surely be able to grasp Revelations. Thank you so very much for this teaching and sharing your knowledge with the rest of us. You are surely a God send.

This series is about the three angel's messages of Revelation 14 and are about preparing God's people to know exactly what must take place before Christ's second coming. We identify the mark of the beast using only the Bible and explain what it is , why it is what it is , and how it is an attack on the eternal gospel of Jesus Christ. God wants His people to be ready for these events that are about to soon take place across the world. It's not a time to fear. It's a time to be ready. We hope you join us to see this entire series. I wrote a poem for Daniel 1
Judah was taken by the Babylonian king
It was all in God's plan
    God allowed four young men
To be taken to a foreign land
    They remained faithful to God
For they knew He was never far
    Boy your man named Daniel,
    The king named Belteshazzar
You can have whatever you want
As long as you learn the Babylonian way
They learned the language and the culture
But hid God in their hearts all day
Daniel and his friends, they honored God
One way was through their diet
When it came to what they put in their bodies
They simply refuse to stay quiet
The young man were offered the best food and wine
You must be healthy and strong
Give us water and vegetables only
To honor God you can't to go wrong
If we change your diet and fail
Us guards the king will detest
The guards were afraid that these Jewish teens
Wouldn't stand to compete with the rest
The four young man impressed the king
With our strength and ease to learn
Also, Daniel could tell visions and dreams
What a high respect he earned
The king tested these four young men
    Found them smart and wise
Place them in the king's royal service
Only the beginning of their rise
    (By Esther Coleman-Spells)

I have sent a PayPal donation today. I have just come across your messages today (20th May 2023). Can you please make an exhaustive enquiry/study with an exegesis on the sanctuary, heavenly sanctuary, in context with the believer, both old and today? How the 'cleansing blood' of Jesus our Christ cleanses the believer and relates to the sanctuary, heavenly sanctuary. What time is connected to it, like the 2300 evenings and mornings, please? Or can you direct me to one of your teachings on the subject, please? Michael.

Thank you so much for your support! Please watch our videos on Daniel 8 (3 parts) and Daniel 9 (5 parts). That provides a framework between the earthly and heavenly sanctuary and the ministry of Christ and how it fulfills the OT prophecies. Great lesson, great parallels. I must ask however, how would you elaborate on the subject of historical creation? Like it sounds ridiculous, but what do you think of dinosaurs then if you believe life arose approx. 4000BC, when scientists will claim that these creatures have existed for millions of years. Or even geographic structures that exist from about 10000 years ago, clearly built by people?

    • @AngelsintheGlen
      @AngelsintheGlen  3 ปีที่แล้ว

We simply cannot accept the premise that time can be accurately and consistently attributed to any creature or structures in time frames of millions of years.
Take for example radio-carbon dating. Radiocarbon (C14) should be undetectable after 90,000 years. That is, our man-made sophisticated machines that can detect radiocarbon have their limitations. They simply cannot measure anything more than about 15 or so half-lives of C14 (5,730 years is one half-life). How and why then is radiocarbon [detected] in coal samples that are allegedly said to be 30 to 300 million years old? If we have limitations with our scientific instruments, what accounts for the assertion that they are vastly older? Why are there not more voices questioning the conclusions, assumptions, and limitations of our ability to accurately measure?
Now. We must be clear. That is not to say that rocks are not 30 or 300 million years old (or billions older). It simply means that we cannot empirically measure their true age.
The problem is that the evolutionary mindset has pervaded Christian thought so much so that many Christians somehow accept aspects of evolution and try to reconcile them with the creation narrative of the Bible. Rarely do we ever hear that science and religion must overlap. If God is the Creator of the universe and all life in it, then science and religion by necessity must overlap.
The Bible actually has some insights on this topic. In the creation account of Genesis 1, notice that the earth already existed. That is, God did not chronologically “create” the heavens and the earth in Genesis 1:1. They already existed as evidenced in Genesis 1:2. Notice that the earth was without form and void and darkness was upon the face of the deep. While the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the water, the very first activity in the creation account is the voice of God. And God said: let there be light. God’s voice, which brings about light, begins the creation account. After that, the waters are separated, dry land appears, and then both sky and land are filled with living creatures.
Well then, when did God actually create the earth? Hebrews 9:11 has a clue.
      Hebrews 9:11 (NASB) 11 But when Christ appeared as a high priest of the good things to come, He entered through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation;
Without going into a detailed study of the sanctuaries, God made the heavenly sanctuary (where Christ now ministers) apart from the creation account in Genesis. God’s heavenly sanctuary could be on the order of millions/billions of years old. Obviously, we don’t know. Since God created His sanctuary separate from the creation account, it’s most likely that the earth was created (as a ball of water without form and void) at some other point in the history of time. The earth, prior to the creation account, might be millions/billions of years old. Again, we can’t know. While the earth may be vastly older, the emergence of life on earth cannot be longer than the creation account, which is estimated to be approximately 6,000 ago.
What about the stars? The stars were likely part of a [prior] creation as well. See Genesis 1:16.
Genesis 1:16 (NASB) 16 God made the two great lights, the greater light to govern the day, and the lesser light to govern the night; He made the stars also.
The last four words of Genesis 1:16 is “He the stars also”. The word “made” is not in the original Hebrew text. This could indicate that while God did indeed “make” the stars, He did not “make” them during the creation account of Genesis 1. They and the earth could have been put in place millions/billions of years ago.
We are not dogmatic about these points. We offer them as thoughts for consideration.

Thanks for you comment. This is a comprehensive study through the book of Daniel and key books of Revelation. The purpose is to prepare men and women for end-time events so that they can know exactly what must take place before Christ returns. God is reconstituting His Church. It's not a time to fear, but a time to be ready. God wants His people ready for what is coming upon the world. We will take you through the first, second, and third angels messages of Revelation 14 which culminates in the mark of the beast. The mark is not a physical mark, but a spiritual mark. We will also contrast the mark of the beast with the seal of God (which is the name of God which goes on the forehead). If you're not exactly sure what this is, we will show you from scripture how this all comes together. The Daniel 1 study sets the stage and we build layer upon layer. You can watch and you can also download the study guides. If you're convinced, please share and teach others. Thanks and God Bless.

The prophecies are often spoken of and deciphered as though just knowing when these things will occur is the primary directive so that we can know, as if that is the whole point. But that is not true. Jesus wants us to know so that we can be prepared, so that we can be wearing His garments. "Rev 16:15 (Look! I will come like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays alert and *_does not lose his clothes so that he will not have to walk around naked and his shameful condition be seen._* )
See - it is so that we are clothed with Christ - completely. Surrendered fully. That means doing as he says at the "drop of the hat". Walking in complete obedience of everything God has revealed to us. No holding back. Not even the smallest detail. We must deny ourselves and take up our cross *_daily_* . Otherwise, we will be found naked. Jesus wants us to stay alert (not slumbering like the 10 virgins). "stay awake", some translations say (ESV).

It's really hard to find an academic lecture on the books of the Bible without it becoming religious. I think that's a shame for those who are not religious but who are curious in researching the contents of the bible. I could just read it on it's own, but then, which translation or variant of the bible or book do you choose? Should you choose a commentary from a Saint, a Biblical Scholar, or some Televangelist with some hot takes on the contents? Could I use a bible used by Catholics, the Torah, the Septuagint, the Tyndale Bible? How skewed are those free bibles given out by The Gideons International? Should one consider the Protestant, Catholic and Eastern Orthodox Canon, or is one "better" than the others? It's extremely difficult to navigate through TH-cam for such an ideal lecture when it's mostly over-populated with predominately Protestants and Evangelicals who are mostly interested in preaching the belief and spiritualism of the Bible rather than solely giving commentary on the contents.

    • @AngelsintheGlen
      @AngelsintheGlen  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Thanks for your comment. Really appreciate your question and concern about the diverse viewpoints out there. Where to start? Great question. As to which Bible translation or variant, there are two ends of this spectrum with a diffuse middle.
On one end of the spectrum is the paraphrase translation. This translation is just that. It’s a paraphrase or interpretation of say, the King James Version Bible. They do not reference the original Hebrew or Greek but simply reword a given translation into modern English. They are best for a general reading. If your goal is obtain the gist/theme of the entire Bible in a quick way (like you are reading a novel even though it is not a novel) the paraphrase version is best. Try the Living Translation.
The diffuse middle. These Bibles are essentially a thought for thought translation. They reference the original Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek and are principally concerned with a translation that makes sense for the modern reader. They try to best answer what is the equivalent thought? What is the best way those same words would be said today? Sometimes they use a word for word translation (Hebrew to English) other times they use the best thought to convey the original text. The most popular version is the New International Version.
The other end of the spectrum is the word for word translation. These Bibles stay strict to the original Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek words and do their best to keep to the literal translation. These Bible are still highly readable, however they closely match the original languages. Serious students of the Bible will use these versions. One of the most popular is the New American Standard Bible. (The Gideon Bible is typically a King James Version and falls into this class of Bibles, however, it was written in older English so it does resonate with the modern ear, despite its literary beauty.) Note: Serious Bible students will use all available versions to compare/contrast a given passage to maximize their studies.
Regarding a Catholic Bible. The Revised Standard Version (RSV) might be the best. It is a word for word translation and an excellent study Bible. Highly highly readable. There are many Protestants who use the RSV, but do not view the books of the apocrypha (typically included in the RSV but not always) as authoritative. Anyone can read the apocrypha books themselves and find there is a vast difference with the canonical books of the Bible.
(try a Google search on “Bible translations charts”. There are some good visual representations of the different versions and include many specific versions you may want to consider.)
One final thought on Bible versions. Whichever Bible version someone may pick, we believe that person will be interacting with the mind of God. That is, we believe that when one reads the contents of the Bible themselves (regardless of which version), they are gaining insights into the thoughts of God, His ways, and His character. Putting aside various denominations and the traditions of the churches, the word of God speaks for itself. We believe the message of the Bible is one of hope and healing.
Regarding your point on an ideal lecture on the content of the Bible without being influenced by a given denomination’s beliefs. This might be a bit more difficult to find on TH-cam. They might be out there given the right search terms. You might find a survey book to be the most objective. For example, try “Old Testament Survey” by Lasor, Hubbard, Bush. It’s a textbook that addresses the content of each the 39 books of the Old Testament. It includes historical information and theological themes.
(It is written from a Protestant Perspective)
Nevertheless, there are many good bible studies on TH-cam. Whatever might be said on TH-cam, can be verified by the scriptures themselves. The more one knows exactly what is in the Bible and the context of a given scripture (because they’ve actually read and critically examined the scriptures themselves) the easier it is for them to spot bias or misleading information.

As you gain knowledge of the Bible in your reading, we welcome you to examine our video series and study material and compare what we’re saying with the contents of the Bible. Please contact us on our website if you have other questions. Thanks again for your comment.

@@AngelsintheGlen I appreciate the feedback; I found it helpful and I thank you for not seeing my comment as an attack or challenge. Being born into a christian household, especially a pastor family, you're already born into a biased family with no independent choice on whether you actually believe in the religion you were born into or not. Because of many past experiences encountering aggressive public missionaries and just aggressive religious people in general, I am completely turned off with anything religious. It has gone to the point where I find no value in any religion and I have been disgusted in seeing many mentally ill people be driven and controlled by whichever religion or denomination they believe in. I just find it very toxic, so I do my best to avoid "preachy" videos. However, I am still curious on reading the material. I will likely view the Bible more as an important fictional story that has influenced the global society; therefore, I would like to understand the contexts a little more than from my experience in Sunday School and Youth Church.
Currently I will be taking a course on the Apocalypse from an ancient perspective. We will be focusing on the beliefs of early Christians of the first century BCE. We will also focus on the beliefs surrounding the Second Temple of Jerusalem until it's fall under future emperor Titan. Some of the assigned texts we will read into are the Books of Enoch, Daniel and Revelation since each focuses on prophesies depicting a future apocalypse. Thanks for you question. Take a look at Genesis 1:2
Genesis 1:2 (NASB) 2 The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters.
Here we read from the text that the earth was formless and void. The Hebrew words for formless and void are “tohu” and “bohu”. They mean unformed and unfilled respectively. Notice what the text does not say. The text does not say that the heavens were formless and void. Only the earth was formless and void. This by implication would suggest that the heavens were already in place. (more on this point below)
Despite being formless and void, the earth existed in verse 2. It is a ball of water, so to speak. God does not speak the ball of water into existence in verse 2. It is already there. Certainly God created the ball of water, but the text doesn’t say when He created the ball of water. See 2 Peter 3:5
2 Peter 3:5 (NASB) 5 For when they maintain this, it escapes their notice that by the word of God the heavens existed long ago and the earth was formed out of water and by water,
From 2 Peter 3:5, we see that the earth (the land) was formed out of water and by water. The land came forth from the water. This again implies that the ball of water existed and that from the water the earth was formed. Also notice in this verse that the “heavens existed long ago” (more below)
Back to Genesis 1:2. While the earth was without form and void and darkness was upon the face of the deep, there is no light. The earth existed before light in verse 3. Also, there is no sun. There is no moon. Those luminaries don’t appear until verse 16. In verse 2, there is just a ball of water.
However let’s take a closer look at Genesis 1:16
Genesis 1:16 (NASB) 16 God made the two great lights, the greater light to govern the day, and the lesser light to govern the night; He made the stars also.
The words “He made” does not appear in the original Hebrew. Those words were added to the text. This means that there are two options. Either the stars were created and brought into existence during the creation week, or the stars were created earlier and are simply mentioned in passing as the other heavenly lights are mentioned. If one takes the first option, then this means that prior to the creation week, there was a vast empty universe of nothing. The first option seems unlikely. Consider that there was a creation before the creation account in Genesis. See Hebrews 9:11
      Hebrews 9:11 (NASB) 11 But when Christ appeared as a high priest of the good things to come, He entered through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation;
Notice that the more perfect tabernacle is the heavenly tabernacle. That tabernacle (or temple) was made by God (i.e. not made with human hand), and not part of the creation account in Genesis 1:1. The heavenly tabernacle existed before. That means there was a prior creation (or previous creations) to the creation week in Genesis 1.
It is quite possible that the vast universe was in place (in a prior creation) and that the earth, which during that previous creation, was created as a ball of water, formless and void. Given that, we can’t say how long the earth existed as a formless void of water before God’s Spirit moved over the surface of the deep and God said “Let there be light”.
We recognize that there are many interpretations of these verses and different conclusions by well meaning, sincere believers. Our research team at Angels in the Glen believe that the earth existed as a ball of water before God said “let there be light”. How long we can’t say. It might have been millions or even billions of years. However, we believe that God is the creator of all and that the creation week of Genesis 1 began approximately 4,000 years ago.
Let us be clear. We’re not dogmatic on this point. Rather, we should closely examine all scriptures, weigh the evidence, and reason through them.
      Thanks again for your question.

There absolute no reason to assume that the light the heavens and the earth were not the first day inclusive . Since God insists that he rested on the seventh day. And that he created in 6 days . So we don’t have to assume anything about massive amounts of time passing.
It also says at the start - that God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was like a baby in the womb ! Water . And a baby in the womb still a baby ! Just in the womb . So earth doesn’t mean land . At first it means the earth.
This also can have multiple logical fulfillments- that the heavens later were not the first heavens which can refer to atmospheric levels. . So even from the start letting the bible explain we have other logical avenues that don’t add billions of years to a 7 day creation period nearly outlined and expressed in gen.
What you have done is - wrongfully believed the world of consensus science - and then gone back to the word of God and triedfit it in to that. - that’s the wrong way of uses- start at the bible and then use it to explain the world

Being a teacher you need to do better and His name in English is Joshua. Many are called Joshua but you are supposed to call Him Yeshua the Hamashiach the Son. That identifies who you are referring to explicitly

      Yes Bobby
      And it even goes deeper
The Jews used Yeshua because they taught it was wrong to use Yahuah’s name. But this is man’s tradition. Yahuah commands us to call him Yahshua. ( meaning Yahuah Saves) and give credit to Yahuah. The Jews went off on another path. Yahusha Ha Mashiach or Yahshua is the best way to pronounce our Saviors name.
Jesus H Christ was formed at the council of Nicea by Constantine when he ask all the bring all their favorite gods so they could create a new god everyone would agree on. They did just that,..they chose a new god From Zeus Horace Kristina ( Jesus H Christ). So consider that when you speak his name.

You had me until you said you did not believe in the literal six day creation!

Hmmm. Must be a misunderstanding. We believe in a literal six day creation and that God rested on the seventh. Maybe consider watching that part of the video again.

We highly recommend you read the book of Hebrews to understand the ministry of Christ in the heavenly sanctuary. Below is one example.
Hebrews 8:1-2 (NASB) Now the main point in what has been said is this: we have such a high priest, who has taken His seat at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens,
2 a minister in the sanctuary and in the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, not man.
