  • THESE ARE NOISY, WHAT CAN I DO TO STOP IT? I USE ONE OF THESE HEATERS TO PUMP HOT AIR INTO MY HOME OVER THE WINTER MONTHS. THEY ARE GREAT BUT CAN BE NOISY, BUT DONT WORRY WE CAN SOLVE THIS PROBLEM.
PUMPING HOT AIR INTO MY HOME
I bought one of these for my garage, and then thought....... I could heat my home with this! So that's exactly what i did! It is working great pumping hot air into my home. It is keeping us nice and warm and super economical.
I have a carbon monoxide detector just in case, but you don't get any fumes indoors at all
    .
I hope this may help you in some way. Even if it just makes an idea pop up in your head, of how you can heat your home in cheaper way.
Thanks for looking at my videos cheers Andy..... If you can be anything, be Kind.....

Andy. The 1 inch black air intake should be outside the box your using. The fan needs to be on the outside also. All in one units are OK for outside but not sealed idealy. Providing both fan intake and 1 inch breather intake are getting the best cold air the rest of tge unit can be seale🤐👍

I have my pump encased in a silicone mold made for small callipo type ice lollies, i drilled a small hole in the ends of the bottom and the cap for the electrics and fuel line, i also used a few differing sizes of o rings behind a large penny washer each side of the mounting nut/plate to dampen vibration noise...

I learnt I could adjust mine slightly for nothing and improve it but the wife came to the garden shed and walked in to find me with the side off the heater and me with a stethoscope in my ears like a doctor I think she thinks I've lost the plot trying to communicate with aliens

@@andyfireblade I showed the wife your video to explain the simplicity of it being outside, I want to do the same but buy a new garden water butt and use it for a large tank all stealth like to shove in something like 20 gallons and leave it to crack on, I toyed with the idea of making a warning system when the tank is getting low but to be honest I think its like when the Americans invented a pen to work in outer space in zero gravity and how much it cost to have a pen to take notes in space and someone asked a Russian how they dealt with a problem and they replied use a pencil lol

Two exhausts coupled together makes these heaters super quiet.

Hi Andy. How does the air get into the box? The blower-fan creates a low-pressure zone inside the box, and reduces the amount of air available for the combustor. Low oxygen combustion = inefficiency = high CO production = risk of CO entering the hot-air stream. My unit is in a box, but to spider and dust-proof it, I have a 2-litre Subaru air-filter element built into one wall. No dust in the burner = reduced deposits = cleaner air into the room. (The filter element will pass better than 500 cubic feet per minute = more than enough)

i have a hole under the box for the air to get in.
but i am going to be changing it to suck air from indoors (warmer)

you wouild of been better off not using an all in one unit or braking the unit down so you can have the air going from the house through the heater and back into the house so you are not trying to heat freezing outside air you would save fuel .

So If I understand this correctly, two same heaters one is way quieter fan noise than the other? Any design changes cause that?

    • @andyfireblade

the red one seems a little bit quieter, cheers andy
