@Louis XIV - Accent differ depending on one's class, even in the UK they have different regional and class accents... her accent sounds like Filipino middle-class accent.

Filipinos say 'twitter' as 'twee-ter'... and pronounce 'tweet' as 'twit'. Pinoys say 'chun' for 'tune' and 'choozday' for 'tuesday' but not 'chuna' for 'tuna'.... yeah kinda weird :)
we filipinos are taught the basic pronounciation of the vowels how it will sound when pronounce in english and in filipino and the consonants maybe that is why Filipino accent is different from other foreign english accent plus the fact that we have many different native languages which has different accents that is why our English accent should have a neutral accent that is here in Ph. when someone is speaking in English we can tell what province or city he or she came from! like most visayan are sweet when they speak so same as when they speak english!
You know, Philippines has been held under by Americans' influence after Spain's. That's why, they imparted to us their culture, custom and including their language as well. In short, we're been Americanized 'til these days. Hoped for your understanding the way we Filipinos talk.
It is because of the Alphabet and ABAKADA or Alpabeto. We sometimes read it as the accent of tagalog alphabet. Same like TU-Na. ... ta te ti to tu.. TU-Na. But filipino accent is way better. Hahaha
I’m just wondering how they say this tongue twister, “Peter Piper picked a pack of pickled pepper, a pack of pickled pepper Peter Piper picked. If Peter Piper picked a pack of pickled pepper, where’s the pack of pickled pepper Peter Piper picked” hahahaha! ✌🏼😁 But honestly, this video is sooo cute 💛
Well some vloggers and foreign students often say that Filipino English Accent, if not the easiest, is one of the easiest English accents to understand, especially by people who are not very fluent in speaking in English. Maybe because we pronounce the words based on how it is spelled or what is the proper pronunciation according to the dictionary. We pronounce 'water' as water and not 'wotah'. But all English accents are equally incredible, don't get me wrong. Just sayin'. Anyway, the guy in the video is giving me a Ron Weasley vibe haha
I commented on the same idea on a vlog by a Korean Jessica Lee when she explained the impact of the Filipino English accent in her situation. But I think that it is true that it is one of the easiest English accent to understand especially by learners whose languages are phonetic. And that may be due to the tendency of Filipino English speakers to phonetically pronounce English words.
Filipinos - american way.. “we were under american regime for how many years” ..while other southeast asian countries like singapore it was under british regime so the influence o english is british as well..
So basically, In a British accent, anything that ends with "-er" is pronounced as "uh". The word "better" was pronounced in American slang where "tt" in the middle is pronounced as "d".
Filipino accent is based on American accent, essentially. But, curiously, there are some words that Filipinos pronounce like British accent, e.g. "tune" /chun/.
that's why we are good with spelling...because we pronounce like how things are spelled...
Which will also throw us off when spelling english words with an American or any english person on that matter
