you guys landed an absolute gem of a property. Been watching since you bought the place and man what a good time. How fun to re-claim the yard, go through the treasure trove of equipment left behind, fix up the house and kick back in one of the most beautiful places in the world. Awesome stuff
be careful when that wood rots, that hole will open back up and need to be filled more. Keep it safe. I thought you were going to make the hole a burn pit.
Seward was our first stop 7 yrs ago, we took a boat ride out to a glacier. It was amazing. Of course there wasn't a part of Alaska we visited that wasn't amazing.
The ash from the burnt wood will be good to dig into the soil for the rose’s. Love seeing you all cleaning up your property it’s starting to look great. Fantastic you have wild life coming round the property. X
Found it odd that you wouldn’t have filled the poo-pit with the wood and used it as a burn pile until it was full of ash then top off with soil. Enjoying watching the progress.
That moose enter action was amazing! Your property is stunning ! You guys have done an amazing job at clearing it. Great scenery shots! Thank you for sharing ! Until next time! ❤
Please try to find Red Huckleberry for your berry garden! I had them as a kid in Alaska and always remember them as the best berries I ever had. I would love to see them being enjoyed again, if I can’t try them for myself, 😊❤
The wood over that hole won't work as the wood will rot and break down . Some moose, dog or human will eventually step on it and fall through. I recommend going back filling the hole with rock and dirt not covering it with wood.
coming right along!! We did the inside passage cruise last summer that left from Seward. Didn't have a ton of time to poke around. Your videos make us want to come back and take our time. We also did Denali and stayed overnight in Girdwood. Took the train from Girdwood to Seward, that was really something!!
Love seeing the wildlife on your property. The garden will look beautiful next year with the roses and berry bushes you are going to planet. Can hardly wait to see it next year. The pictures that you took in winter with snow on the river to today all looks beautiful. I like that there are camp sites and trails that you took us on. It is so sad that the glaziers are residing to nothing. I hope that maybe something will happen to bring them back. 🥰💖👍👍👍👍👍🦮🐕🦮🐕🦮(🌹🐞🦂🌵)
Now, listen….these 30 minute videos “ain’t” enuff to wet the whistle 😂😂 But, WOW, what a goodun !!!! Whole lotta difference in Alaska N Bama . I absolutely love your life 🤗 You know I gotta ask…when de Boyz going back up ?? Still missing the Knuckleheads 😊 Can’t wait for next video ☺️
+++Suggestions for your SOLAR POWER and GENERATOR usage+++ 1 >Solar Panels > One High power capacity solar panel could replace three of your existing solar panels - Two High power capacity solar panels might be all what you need. They are larger and could be installed on your carport roof. 2 >No messing around with an outdated solar batteries system! - ECOFLOW or BLUETTI systems are stand alone, easy to use, with latest ecofriendly Lithium Batteries - You could probably get sponsorship to get one of these systems (large one) as many other DIY TH-cam channels did. Ecoflow or Bluetti come with solar panels as well but could be hooked to high power capacity solar panels. 3 >Your generator > Get rid of the large noisy and smelly diesel Generator! Instead get a large capacity gas generator which could be installed in a nearby shed to avoid noise issues > you would have to run a line from the shed to your house for hookup. I hope these suggestions help - Let me know. Good luck!
If you wanted to add some good organic matter to enhance your rose bushes this fall, you could go out and find the moose droppings that I'm sure are around your property and put those on to the bushes. It takes a long time to decompose, but it would be beneficial. That way you get free fertilizer. You guys are doing a great job. It's fun to watch!😊 The property is looking fantastic.
Surprised you want to plant the raspberries with other plants. Like blackberries, they choke out every plant nearby and take over. Please choose a more isolated area from your roses to keep all those plants thriving. ❤
Oh I think you made a mistake in filling that hols with wood, it will rot fast and can you then Imagine one of the adult moose standing over it,? other than that it is looking fantastic what a treasure it will be. xxx Dede
I'm confused. It looks as though you covered over the outhouse pit and the put dirt, stump, roots, on the wood. Would first filling the hole and then placing wood on top be the wrong way to go? Seems like someday the wood will rot and someone could fall through it. What am I not understanding? LOL
don't forget you are in Alaska, where they are many predators I didn't see no bear spray no gun, be careful where you go always be prepared and be ready for the unexpected, because that's how most unwanted encounters happen. Just concerned that's all my friends
Way too many bushes spaced much too closely together, all within too small of space. These bushes all grow and spread big time, especially the Raspberry bush....which will grow suckers all over.
maybe when you film with your camera you might think about changing it over to landscape rather than portrait....would make so much nicer content....just a small suggestion
I didn't know moose were so territorial with other moose. Very cool to watch. 🫎 I agree with others comments about the hole from the outhouse, you should fill it in with dirt only, once the wood rots, it can become a hazard with someone falling in and hurting themselves especially with all those old nails in the wood. 😊
When outdoor toilets in areas where we lived were closed down, they were always filled with dirt and tapped down covered with rocked. Very surprised you did not mark it. Noticed another viewer mentioned the wood rotting ( so true) but you can always correct that later. Enjoy your videos.

Yah, past experience with. Turns into a sink hole as wood rots/settles. Thank you for sharing another project-and the moose!
Yes we will fill it with more dirt next spring. 😊

Noooo. Lol

Fascinating to watch the Moose MaMa & their offspring!! 💜
Nice rose garden.
Thanks!
The ash from the burnt wood will be good to dig into the soil for the rose’s.

Thanks for the tip!
Love that you went back to pick up that green plastic! Would have bugged me a lot too

I'm a homesteader finally working on solar now after 6 years of running on the generator. I'm going to take your suggestions
Thank you for sharing 😊😊😊
Great suggestions. We are leaning heavily to the ecoflow
❤❤❤❤

I would have used the hole as a burn pit
It must be Halloween, there goes the out house over.
😂
You are troupers to go to Hope. Although it is a quaint place it is so tough to get to.
Oh I think you made a mistake in filling that hols with wood, it will rot fast and can you then Imagine one of the adult moose standing over it,? other than that it is looking fantastic what a treasure it will be. xxx Dede
We will back fill with more dirt. 😊
I think you shuld back fill that mhole compleetly si no one falls in when that wood nrots and it will
Yes we will in the spring. 😊
Should have put the dirt in first. Now the wood will rot and the ground will sink down.
Beautiful nature, wonderful views.....but that music is horrendous, repeating....😮
Music put my teeth on edge…couldn’t watch it.

WHY DIDN'T YOU USE THE OUTHOUSE PIT AS A FIRE PIT, INSTEAD OF COVERING IT OVER WITH WOOD, YOU COULD HAVE BURNED IT INSTEAD.
And left a void under wood. So wait for the vid where something or someone falls in. ???
don't forget you are in Alaska, where they are many predators I didn't see no bear spray no gun, be careful where you go always be prepared and be ready for the unexpected, because that's how most unwanted encounters happen. Just concerned that's all my friends
We have both. Always need to be prepared for sure. Thanks for watching!
The hole covered with wood is a future death pit.
Way too many bushes spaced much too closely together, all within too small of space. These bushes all grow and spread big time, especially the Raspberry bush....which will grow suckers all over.
I thought you had got rid of the old cars from an earlier video
We got rid of several in previous videos but these were the last ones.
Dinner
How much land do you have please?
Just over 9 acres
Lots of curry there .
You’ll need a fence with the berries because the moose will eat them.

Why not just burn the wood instead of putting it in the ground it’s treated so not going to rot very quick
Please do not kill any moose. Just appreciate and love how beautiful God's animals are in this world. He blessed us with them.
Look for a male moose and stock up your freezer for winter
Too late. Hunting season is in September only. 😀

Yes we will fill it in next spring as needed.
Why not just put wood scrap around the outside house and light it up? Not a fire danger.
