  • I filmed this a while ago, as these were a Father’s Day gift! Quite a few of these I’d never tried before👍😃
    This is the side channel to my main Lock Noob channel ( / locknoob .
    Here I will be adding side content such as lock-related toys, retrospectives, detailed lock reassembly and even MRE reviews! I created this channel so I could put out fun content that might not interest my main audience, but i hope will still be enjoyed by others. Stay safe and happy picking!
    If you would like to send me something, please use this address:
    Lock Noob
    PO Box 3428
    Bristol, U.K.
    BS6 9PQ
    All items sent at senders own risk. Please also understand that while I try and feature things sent to me, I unfortunately can't feature everything and have long lead times.
    I shouldn't have to say this but do not pick locks in use or locks that are not explicitly owned by yourself unless you have the express permission from their owners and that they understand the risk of damage picking may cause. ALWAYS keep it fun ALWAYS keep it legal. Don't make picking a crime.

    This is a pretty authentic selection, the same kinds of candy we'd get each year for Halloween as kids back in the 80s and 90s. This brings back so many memories. Btw, the best way to eat a twizzler is to first bite off each end and then use it as a straw.

    Pretty much agree with your order, except that the Milk Duds should be up in the top 4.

    I enjoy all of those candles. You top tear was spot on. But banana Laffy taffy is one of my favorites. Also, If you haven't, You should try Runts.

    Certainly had just about all of those (in my younger days). I think our taste's are very similar to you're ranking. I couldn't help but notice how your hands got more and more shaky as the video went on from the "sugar high"! LOL

    I think you ranked "Nerds" a little high but everyone has different tastes. Definitely agree that "Twizzlers" are a horrid imitation of licorice. I'm pretty sure an industrial company figured out how to turn their manufacturing waste into a candy...

    Several of those are Movie Theatre favorites because they don't mash into the carpet very well. That may explain the flavor compromise.
    All of that sour stuff except the Lemonheads is strictly for the kids (ugh). Just my opinion.

    Man, I love sweets and this is amazing! Not so interested in chocolate, though; my faves would be the nerds, the grape thing and the Swedish fish, I think. Can pick Swedish fish up from IKEA, but the ones you get in the US seem different and better. Nothing beats Fruit Guns, though. Or midget gems with the liquorice pieces - so good!

    Ultimate Halloween treasure trove!
    If you want to go hardcore, dip a pre-licked lollipop in the Kool-Aid powder. You've been warned!

    I’m from the US and I would agree on most of your candy choices. I hate the warheads chewy cubes because I like the really sourness of the extreme sour warhead that you hate.
    I love airheads I love the blue raspberry flavor in particular, Lemonheads were originally all lemon flavored (still the best flavor) nobody over here really likes Boston baked beans either, your Babe Ruth and Reesie‘s style candies are always going to be good those are the classics that also includes Snickers Milky Way‘s three musketeers etc.
    My favorite American candy is called “big hunk bar”, it’s a type of white nougat with peanuts
    There are quite a few old-school candies to that aren’t as artificial that you might like, like a twin Bing or mallow cup

    Reeses Big Cup: I prefer the Reeses thins. Only because I like the chocolate more than the PB filling. Boston Baked Beans: one of my favorites. Penny candy from my childhood, I still buy these whenever I find them. Tootsie Roll: I've come to appreciate these much more in conjunction with rations, but chocolate toffee is always a winner. Milk Duds: one of my absolute favorites, I can't watch a theater movie without a pack of these (and a pack of Junior Mints). You're hitting all of the best ones first. Baby Ruth. It's never been "Babe Ruth", as far as I know. Awesomeness in a candy bar. How can you go wrong with chocolate, peanuts, and nougat? Twizzlers are excellent, but I don't buy them for myself. The girls in my locker room at work seem to bring large bags in on a regular basis. I despise all bubble gums. I have bad memories from the 1980's, high school, with every freaking girl around me popping their bubble gum. Bubbleicious, Dubble Bubble, Hubba Bubba, etc.... gag......
    I LOVE banana taffy. Laffy Taffy is probably the most common brands, and excellent, but there are many others. I love them all. Then, we move into the fruity/sour/chewy collection. Airheads, Warheads, Lemonheads, Nerds, Jolly Ranchers... I don't like any of them. Nerds are crap. Bottom of the pile. Swedish fish are nice, but I only like the red ones. I would probably put them with the Twizzlers. Charleston Chews? Awesome. Definitely up on top.
    SOOO INTERESTING to see the differences in tastes between countries. Thank you for the review!

    Since I was a kid, my favorite candy bar was an Uno bar. Chocolate covered fluffy goodness. Do you have those?

  • @DAdamTrammell
    @DAdamTrammell 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Charleston Chews are not that popular. I'm one of the few people that get happy when I see them. Only the vanilla ones though, and freezing them is a must.

    You were doing fine until you put Nerds first you maniac! Reese's , Baby Ruth, then Boston Baked beans. Baby Ruth has nothing to do with Babe Ruth although I understand the confusion.

    • @jmr
      @jmr 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Douglas Brandt Although the name of the candy bar sounds like the name of the famous baseball player Babe Ruth, the Curtiss Candy Company traditionally claimed that it was named after President Grover Cleveland's daughter, Ruth Cleveland.
      EDIT: If you are claiming they lied. You're probably right but he didn't sue them. The funny thing is they sued him.
      EDIT2: He did sue them but they won. The article I read had that reversed.

      @Douglas Brandt You're probably right despite their claims. Here is what Simon Whistler had to say. His writers definitely did more research then we did. 🤣
