These are a first for me, but I’m always happy to try new rations! 😃👍

Crackers in military rations are _supposed_ to be hard, hence "hardtack." If they were soft, they'd turn to dust in a marching soldier's backpack. Because they're so dry, they remain good to eat for years.
Hardtack is best broken up and dropped into a runny curry, or similar, to add crunch.

I was right in the middle of thinking "I bet your dentist is happy after those biscuits/crackers", when you mentioned keeping dentists in business! 🤣

I see origami food tray puzzles will not keep a guy who loves puzzles, but loves food more, stand in his way. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Rūta is probably one of the better cheap chocolates you can get here in Lithuania, but nothing spectacular. And rusk from what I know are not meant to be eaten non hydrated aka drop into a team or broth for a while

You should be able to make a couple of good tension wrenches out of those caraway slab things...

I really enjoyed your review and your reactions, that coffee must have been pretty horrible, but the sound of that cracker snapping just made me laugh. I'm in the US, we would crumble up the crackers into whatever the main was to soften them up. Thanks and have a great one!

Swan Vestas were the best UK matches, proper with a sandpaper striker, they all safety ones nowadays. The windproof ones in some of the rat packs are the best imo

You could use them hardtacks as knuckle dusters in close battle combat, hand to hand counter terrorism warfare

,,Ruta"' chocolate is a very popular chocolate brand in Lithuania. (that answers your question)

How much do you pay for European MRE's? They are very expensive in Australia.
