I watch Stephanie George's channel & I have followed her & her son, Sebastian, through their CDLS & Tetralogy of Fallot journey, so your channel popped up on my list of suggested videos. I've spent the past 18 years of my life as a RN in emergency medicine & I love to learn new things. I had never even heard of CDLS until I randomly found Stephanie's channel. Both of you seem like wonderful moms & you guys are absolutely the best when it comes to advocating for your children. God really knew what He was doing when He gave you two these precious babies to care for. Love & light to your family, especially sweet little Freya! ❤️🫶

Glad you realize that you only change one variable at a time! Make sure she's getting regular dental appointments and topical fluoride. I've seen kids with reflux have their back teeth dissolve. If any meds cause dry mouth this makes that problem even worse. Hang in there!

I "accidentally" came across your channel this morning and just binged your videos. You have such a beautiful family that is obviously so full of love! Having 3 children of my own I remember them all being so little and how busy and exhausting life can be, BUT also how wonderful it is, one of the best times!! Enjoy every exhausting moment, it's so cliche but it does go by so fast and one day you'll look back and wonder how you did it. You are an AMAZING Mom 🏆 Freya is such a gift, thank you for sharing her story (and your story) ❤
Chickens are on strike here in Colorado. I've been watching your channel for a day or so. Love seeing how well she is doing. A friend of mine has a granddaughter that has MDL. Mom is on top of everything like you are.
You always see people on here with kids with disabilities talking about how this or that is not so bad. Just like you said. Because your middle age. You never see people like you in here when those other kids are grown and gone. Your old and this kid is getting grey hairs and your changing diapers still and new issues. She will be the same way. You won’t be on here saying oh no biggie that your taking care of a 40 year old feeding her in a high chair. I see people like you later who dint think this through. She is a baby. Idk maybe these kids don’t live long so but a issue to be a realist.
Not say anything at all. This is an intelligent and informed woman. You try to cut her off at the knees by insisting that she hasn't put any thought about Freya's future. This mom of typical and non-typical children thinks constantly about what Freya's future will be. She shudders and is afraid of what will happen if Freya outlives her and her husband. She watches Freya's siblings and wonders, which one will step up to care for Freya if she can no longer provide that round the clock care. She cries into her pillow at night thinking about what will happen to Freya if she has to go live at a facility that offers round the clock care should she become incapable of providing that care and none of Freya's siblings can do it. My personal opinion is that Freya's momma block such people as the writer of the previous comments. Momma haters gonna hate. Ignore their ignorance. You do you. You are the mommy God picked for Freya. Who else but God would know what Freya's needs are now and in the future. Go team momma!
What would you like me to do? Freya is my child I will love an support her for as long as I am able. I will help give her the tools she needs to succeed in life. You don’t know my daughters future any more than I do.
Wow, does Maxie Mae Cross seriously think that way??! What's the solution, then? Hide your kids from the world because their life might be tough when they are older?? Not show progress and learning and expanding skill sets? 🤷🏻♀️ Or just throw the kid in the trash? Commit a felony and end their life now because they will grow older and that's TOO REAL for her to handle, knowing a person is out there who has different needs 😳?? I don't see the logic at all. I guess that also means anyone who has incontinence at an older age should or needs palliative care should rid themselves from the planet so Maxie Mae Cross doesn't get upset because that's being too "realist". 🤦🏻♀️ I can't. As she said, "you just didn't think this through...." THINK WHAT THROUGH, EXACTLY??? I'd love to know. SMFH.
