Just a thought - and trust me, this just came to mind to me as I thought back to my son 40 some years ago. My boy was also non-verbal for the longest time but not diagnosed with any specific malady. Yet he started to have so many irritable days to where he just screamed, and sometimes I found him banging his head on the floor. Scary times - I just knew something was wrong - but was unable to figure it out. Came to find out that it was his ears - he ran no fever or signs of illness but came to ultimately find out that he had so much fluid built up in his ears that he had an 80% hearing loss. I had taken him to an ENT doc per advice of his pediatrician. Bingo - it was his ears after all. Tubes put in - the ears drained, and shortly after that, maybe with 4 months, he started talking and we've never been able to shut him up since then!
It's heartbreaking when your child is ill or in pain and they can't tell you what's wrong, I hope whatever it is resolves quickly or you find out what it is and get her the help she needs.
I'm so sorry that darling, little Freya is suffering. 😢 I hope and pray that someone will be able to find out what's wrong and treat her so she's all better soon.
Sweet little Freya I hope your health discomfort goes away very soon! Thinking of you Marci knowing how much Freyas wellbeing affects you because she can’t say what hurts or how she feels! You have child radar you’ll probably figure it out before the doctors!❤
I'm so sorry Marci! I know how hard it is when one of our kids are hurting, but so much worse when she can't tell you what it is. I hope you can figure it out soon. Positive vibes, love and hugs from PA! Fiona's trip looked so cool! It's so nice to be able to share that with her! ❤
I’m glad you are checking all the boxes to see what it is. So many things can hurt with no diagnostic too. So hard! I had growing pains like the others mentioned where my legs hurt. Since Freya grows so slow, maybe it would be painful even with a “little” bit of growth bc that would be considered fast growth for her. I hope it’s easier to solve than something not diagnostic test-able.
My son was in pain and we started watching when he would cry. It came down to when he was trying to eat. Took him to his pediatrician and found out it was his ears.
Aw poor Frayer and Mum too, Big Hugs to both of you, hope Frayer will feel better soon she's such a happy girl ❤️🎉 and we know that Makes Mam happy to see her like that to, not nice that feeling , know only to well
I'm sorry Freya is going through something and she can't tell you what it is. I can imagine as a Mom is just breaks your heart. I hope she feels better. Maybe she is still trying to adjust to school in addition to not feeling up to par. Hopefully it will pass soon.
Oh, how frustrating this must be for you. Anyone who has had a baby has probably encountered this dilemma at some point before their child was old enough to talk and explain. But it is an ongoing issue for you with Freya. I hope you find the answer soon. I don’t want her to be in pain, either. ❤️
I can’t imagine how hard it is on you trying to find out what is happening to Freya to make her appear in so much pain! I pray the situation is revealed soon or already resolved. I can’t stand to see a child in pain and not be able to help them.🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻💗💗💗
I’m sorry Freya isn’t feeling well, you can tell by looking at her she doesn’t feel well her face is pale and her cheeks just had a tint of red. God love her heart. I hate it that she can’t tell you what’s bothering her. Praying that baby girl feels better soon 🙏🏻. Those mountains were gorgeous and it looked like Fiona was having a good time!
What about at school, are they seeing the same behaviour there? Maybe feel all her joints, fingers, toes, etc. you never know she might have broken a little bone somewhere . It’s so frustrating when they can’t tell you, all you can do is ask them to show you where it hurts. I once worked with a little boy who was nonverbal and was crying a lot, we eventually figured out he’d broken his collarbone though we never figured out how. I hope she feels better soon and you can figure out what’s going on. 🤞🙋🏼♀️
I wonder if it was random tummy or bowel gas or wind pain. This can come on suddenly, be very painful then go. A bit of constipation can cause quite severe tummy pain also. Must be hard when they aren't able to specify where pain s. Awesome job thiugh Marci, .💞
Could it be that because she is so aware of everything and so curious, that sometimes she just gets frustrated or mad when things are not as she thinks they should be?
I have a nephew who doesn’t say a lot. He speaks but he can’t really say how he feels or what bothers him or even stand up for himself. However he is very good at saying what he doesn’t like for dinner. He’s 4 now but he didn’t speak at all until almost 3. He’s just now starting to put sentences together that are longer than 2-3 words. Mentally he’s almost 2. Not sure what syndromes or conditions he has because he’s been tested for autism but he’s only been diagnosed with sensory processing disorder. It’s very hard to understand how he feels and what’s bothering him when he doesn’t feel well. Funny because his eyes certainly tell a lot but not all his feelings. Hope Freya feels better soon. She sure is adorable. Love her little scoot as she moves around.❤
My nephew actually had "growing pains" when he was about 4 yrs old. All he could tell my sister was that his legs hurt. He would scream out night and day. His Doctor did all kinds of test to get a diagnosis. I never knew it was an actual medical problem.
I think you should make an appointment with her orthopedic doctor because she broke her arm in the past I have had broken several bones ant sometimes old fractures can be painful that comes and goes away if barometric pressure in the weather is It’s at low pressure or a extreme high pressure
Would the crying be a form of seizure. There is a term called dacrystic seizures where people scream but I know nothing else . My own daughter developed all different types of seizures , at the start I didn't recognise them as seizures, I was just used to the one type.
I'm still so sore from Wednesday 9.18.24 when I had my wisdom teeth removed and I'm on the ibuprofen acetaminophen and the amoxicillin which is the antibiotic that they put me on to prevent my infection from the surgery and I'm on a soft food diet for a few days until the swelling and soreness are away and it might be a little while before I can get to my regular keto diet because I'm keto but with my soft food diet for after my dental surgery and my keto diet bumping head to head and trying to find foods that are soft but also keto is hard but hey there's Pinterest for recipe ideas for my meals 😅 and we didn't get home until 12am Wednesday night because they didn't take me back to the OR until 4 in the afternoon and we were up at Tufts medical center TMC in Boston MA for the whole day and I couldn't eat or drink anything past midnight Tuesday night except for clear liquids and the clear liquids had to stop at 9am and when they got me back to pre-op it wasn't until 2 in the afternoon and my mum and I were tired 😫😴 and I took a pre-op nap on the waiting room bench that how long the wait was without me eating nor drinking anything it was a food drink lockdown and the child life specialist that was on my team the other day Megan she asked me what I wanted to do ipad or fidgets and I went with the ipad and I went through not 1 but 2 ipads 😅 and she did say that she has another one for when the first one was dead and when I saw that the first one gave me the 10% battery warning that was when I got her attention to get me another one it didn't have all the same games but it didn't matter if I was using it as a TV and they let me take it back to the OR and a awesmrpop video came up on the homepage of TH-cam and it was a dental video with a play doh dental surgery head and the first one the all bald one they named him baby grandpa 😅 and when they put me under the anesthesia and they held it up above my head so I can still watch it while they put me under the anesthesia so I can have a show to watch while I was going under being in an adult hospital as a kid can be scary but if you work with one of their child life specialists it wouldn't be that scary and I was in a wheelchair next 9.19.24 day because I was still was a little groggy from the anesthesia because I didn't get out until 10:20 at night that night and didn't get home till midnight Wednesday night 😞 long day I liked how you and Fifi played the game I survived a cave😅
Did the screaming start after she had that fall from the scooter board a while ago? I know she's been using it since and seems fine with it, but wonder if the episodes seem to happen where she had the fall maybe? Is it also happening at school? What I'm thinking is maybe it's not physical, if it happens at random times, but in specific places like where she fell from the board or broke her elbow, she could be having flashbacks. The down side to that is, if it's not physical because she is non-speaking it may not be easy for her to access therapy.
I have a question actually, I noticed she was barefoot at the dentist...does she have an aversion to shoes? I have a special needs grandson, and he does NOT like wearing shoes or socks. He will wear them when necessary, but first opportunity, they are OFF. 😊 He has a lobster-claw deformity of both feet, so they're very wide. It's hard to find shoes that fit really well, so all that may be the issue. They're just uncomfortable. He doesn't complain about it, just definitely prefers to be barefoot.
Poor little pumpkin. I wish she could tell you what hurts. Does she ever try to point or put her hand to any part of her body that could possibly hurt? That is usually a natural thing if we hurt our self or something aches we put our hand there automatically without thinking about it. I don't know if she ever does that or not. That would be a big help though. 🥰
It is very difficult when a special needs child can't say what, where, or why. Have you been able to log when it happens? My daughter would be upset, and it was always within a few minutes or an hour after eating. It was determined that she had GERD so badly that only surgery was able to correct it. This is not meant to be upsetting. I will pray and hope you can know soon how to help her. Love all of your family, and Fiona is a cutie. ❣️🦋❣️🙏🧸🐾🐾🥰
Marcie, I am so sorry she's in pain. Do you think that maybe it could be from the physical therapy when they were working on her legs and she was upset about it? I just wondered if they pushed something out of place or something.

Same here, I did not know she could crawl, and so fast! ❤
I didnt realize she can crawl! I have only seen her scoot. She is so cute and so curious. Love it.
She is so adorable Marci ❤️
I sure hope she got to feeling better 🙏🏻❤️

I love how curious she is
Hi, I think it is awesome that you let Freya explore while she plays..I think it helps with her development....be strong
Sending prayers and healing vibes ❤🙏🏾
It's nice that her dentist was trying to help see the problem if it wasnt her teeth

Thinking of you Marci knowing how much Freyas wellbeing affects you because she can’t say what hurts or how she feels! You have child radar you’ll probably figure it out before the doctors!❤
Oh my she can crawl! Fantastic!

I am really impressed with her crawling skills. She can get a move on pretty quickly.
I hope Freya feels pain free soon.

You live in a beautiful area.
Feel better Freya 💕
Your are beautiful Marci
Hi Marci - Again just a thought here, could you ask your family doctor if it could be growing pains? I know that these could be very painful !
Could it be that because she is so aware of everything and so curious, that sometimes she just gets frustrated or mad when things are not as she thinks they should be?
God bless u and Chris

There's a possibility of a random heart burn pain hope Freya feels better soon ❤

I bet it's super stressful when you can't help Freya because she can't tell you what is bothering her.
It is so hard having a child who can't tell you what is wrong. I can't give you any advice, but I can pray for you and your family.

Any side effects of her medicines ?
Hi Marci!!! Could her outbursts be for attention?? Maybe it's a 5 year old thing?? Keeping you in prayer!!

I have her same toothbrush in the adult version but pink
Would the crying be a form of seizure. There is a term called dacrystic seizures where people scream but I know nothing else . My own daughter developed all different types of seizures , at the start I didn't recognise them as seizures, I was just used to the one type.
I have thought of this and I am going to bring it up to her neurologist in November.
She seemed to be squinting a bit. Mabye a headache? Prayers and love. N. California
Could it be a UTI? Symptoms are often vague & pain can be intermittent.
Wow
❤❤

Do you think these events could be seizures?
They definitely aren’t like her other ones but I thought of it. I will bring it up to her neurologist in November
Her eyes look swollen
What about a uti! Maybe it just. Burns when she urinates. This may be a repeated comment. I apologize if it is.
We thought of this and checked. It is not.
Marcy, has she done this in school? Maybe she just wants to be in school. But I would see if this is happening in school.
I think the lady on here mentioned ears. Thats a possibility
She looks unhappy.

It isn’t her stomach or arm in pain?
Not that we can tell.
Hey Marci
Marcie, I am so sorry she's in pain. Do you think that maybe it could be from the physical therapy when they were working on her legs and she was upset about it? I just wondered if they pushed something out of place or something.
If only she could touch her tummy or her head to show you where it hurts. I think at some point, she WILL be able to show you.
Maybe growing pains??
A UTI maybe
We checked. Not uti 😩
Maybe six year molars ?
🙏🏼🤍
Could her e.o.e. be acting ? This is when u probably wish you could communicate with u.
Do you have a P.O. Box
Marci has answered this many times. You may want to look back at older videos.
She’s going to be walking before you know it!
