Sorry man! Yeah the bars they use are not accurate, and are VERY hard to read. It can show like half full but it can shut off on you in like 5 minutes, no warning untill it says it is shutting off on you. Sony is much better in this as they have a percentage so it is much more accurate. Love the R8 for sure, but that is what I disllike the most from the camera. I appreciate the engagement!
I’d switch up your name of your account, and your bio! Start making this a camera review brand fully! Make a sweet intro and outro. Keep up the thumbnails. I’d definitely start making a new name and bio though. Just a suggestion! Maybe PatsCameraReviews or something!
Please read canon user manual bro In canon the battery indicator has some meaning First bar will be 31-100% Second bar will be 6-30% Third bar will be 1-5% 0 bar means 0%
Canon's strategy is to release expensive lenses first with no other option, forcing market to spend all their money. Then they release the cheaper versions of the same lenses with similar performance to milk the rest of the market who didn't have the budget to buy the expensive lenses. Eventually, all the necessary lenses will be released. Once all market is milked, canon will allow 3rd party to develop the lenses for canon rf.
A7C is a great camera, but no 4k60 and it is still hundreds of dollars more! There really is no newer tech up to date entry level at 1500 or below from Sony!
Camera body canon r8 in that budget is beast ....have one back up battery I'f planning long shoot ....note it's entry level full frame camera so it has limitations that's accepted... today if thrs Sony wave it's only because of third party lens otherwise canon is best in all specs ...but RF lens cost sucks
@GunslingerMediaCo maybe only for video..but the R1 is hybrid with it's 24mp photo ability..so it really still wins in that part if taking photos and video
It says in the manual. 2 bars means Battery level is low, but the camera can still be used. It does not means it is half exhausted.
what does that even mean? Ofcourse you can use it, until it turns off. How should I know, for how long can I use it.
They should just change the icon to be red rather than use bars, as bars already have a universal meaning. Two bars means half full.

Right! I mean I came from sony and they have a simple percentage that is easy to see and accurate, I just prefer that type of readout!
This thumbnail is legendary 😂 Thanks for the insight as well. Still looking into possibly picking up this camera.

try moving your camera a little closer to tighten up on you and your mic would pick up better.
What is the comparable full frame Sony at the same price point as the R8?

Maybe A7C, but it doesn’t have 10 but or 4k60. Maybe the ZV-E1, but it’s $700 more. There is no direct equivalent.

what about Son A7 III ? If we compare them, who is better for photography?
