以前、新潟に住んでました。
いつ行っても休館中で縁のない分水資料館でしたので、興味深く拝見させて頂きました。
ふと思うと、新潟は本当に金が掛かる地域だなと思います。
冬は豪雪、夏は水害、度重なる地震、肥沃な土地だからこその軟弱地盤も酷いですし、信濃川河口の新潟西港は川からの堆砂で埋まる為、定期的な維持は必須。結局、豊栄に新潟東港を新たに掘る羽目になりました。
ほんとに大変な苦労の上に成り立った発展です。
日本広しといえど、ここまで自然環境に喧嘩を売って手に入れた発展ってのはなかなかないんじゃないかな？と思います。
