    I enjoyed Dawnguard the most honestly. I loved how they fleshed out Vampire gameplay with the Vampire Lord form,the skill trees for vampires and werewolves but the thing that puts it just above Dragonborn for me is the lore regarding The Falmer and their spiral into the creature's we know them as today. I also got a lot of use out of the items and spells that it added into the game.

      @Ralis Sedarys lol then you haven't played it properly since you literally get two op shouts in dragonborn dlc which are dragon aspect and bend will. Also the enemies are way better and tougher than dawnguard. You get seekers, lurkers, dragon, dragon priests to fight where in dawnguard all you have to fight master vampires which become boring at one point. Also harkon felt like a crappy boss compared to miraak

      Just kidding of course. :)
      But I think you're right. Tripping or not, your memories didn't run away with you as it might be me who had said that about the armor. But know that Tulius armor only works that way in the base game. When you have installed the Unofficial Patch the armor's Defence rating will interfere with the flesh spells in the Alteration tree.
      Personally I find that a minor issue considering all the good that this patch has to offer. I prefer a stable yet less powerful game over an unstable one with all the power at my fingertips.

    ...I enjoyed Dawnguard the least. I absolutely thought Seranna's story was cringe and ruined some of the better moments of Dawnguard. Dawnguard also went through the mental gymnastics to make way for Seranna. For example, that first conversation with Seranna. How do you come fight all those vampires and she has to *tell* you she's one? Clownish. There was no reason for you to blindly take her home, so I headed back to Fort Dawnguard. Only for Isran, the mofo who has a torture chamber for vampires, is just "... uh yeah lets get her back home, and then I'll get mad at you for losing the Elderscroll."
    I also just didn't like having her as a forced companion and she was mad trash in combat. It's okay for her to not trust my character, but I cannot do the same against her. You can tell her you're not friends and still have the option to become a vampire lord. That "turning is intimate" is so fucking funny! Daddy Harkon really wanted to smash the Dragonborn.
    The only real choice you make in Dawnguard is your flavor of being a vampire lord or the dumbest vampire hunter ever. You couldn't even be a normal vampire and side with Dawnguard but Seranna is the "speshial une esshecpsion". Dawnguard wasn't just the clown, it was the entire circus. At least Dragonborn wasnt that damn clownish.

    I almost wish there were more DLCs to cover in Skyrim. 😁 Can’t fault a lad for his opinions, so concisely delivered, with reason & logic. I don’t even know how to choose an order because there were things I really enjoyed about each DLC that were vastly different from each other. The mommy in me loves the architecture of different homes for different purposes, all over Skyrim & (with mods) raising a large brood of wee ones, like the fricken Brady Bunch, & including different races of kiddos than vanilla Nords. I remember loving being a vamp lord (really need to follow the other side this time) & messing with Elder Scrolls + Volkihar Castle is great. Probably need a mod to take it over after stopping Harkon. Unlike others, I didn’t mind the Doul Cairn & explored it thoroughly & easily. And, in Dragonborn, while I hated the Miraak fight that was always glitchy and an absolute ass pain, when it was done, I was happy to take his stuff. I didn’t mind Hermaeus Mora taking the glory. F Miraak with all dem tentacles 🦑. I don’t give a 💩. Solstheim is always a treat. And Neloth is muh Boi, ornery though he may be. I always joined (via glitch) both Hlaalu & Telvanni Houses in Morrowind, but liked the latter more. Big fan of the ginormous shrooms. Got a mod for building a sort of house/tiny settlement in the Iliac Bay that is a Telvanni Shroom. I also enjoy some of the ship mods like The Scarlett & others, so I am hoping the rumors of ship usage in TES6 turn out to be true, despite the “leaks” being fake. Also, after using follower Inigo, all others pale in comparison & can’t wait for more updates to him. He eats sweet rolls & May sing you funny songs about your adventures together. He is naturally muffled and doesn’t easily get spotted (still does sometimes), doesn’t set off traps he walks over and he actually whispers his replies when you’re sneaking. He even had a couple of funny lines when with Ma’iq. He interacts with other companions or pet followers, has lots of control in regards to that or not doing it & with fighting style and following distance, et cetera. Okay, I will just keep going on about him if I don’t curb myself from kissing 💋 his arse 🍑 more. I respect your opinions on these DLCs. Would love to see you try different mods & give opinions on them. If you like vamps, there’s Sacrosanct there’s or Better Vamps. Werewolves? Growl, Moonlight & others. And, for the love of god, how do you sleep at night, not having finished Morrowind’s Shivering Isle? Get on it!

  • @TheCoolerBrother
    @TheCoolerBrother 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Honestly I think the reason so many people prefer dawnguard the best is bc in Dragonborn it just recovers what the vanilla game covered…(it’s about being Dragonborn) to where as the dawnguard dlc gives a breath of fresh air with the whole vampire story arc… and hearth fire doesn’t even have a story arc it’s just adding a house building feature so I hardly even count it as a full DLC. Not even close to DLC 1 or 2

  • @ЕдуардЛобанов-й6ш
    @ЕдуардЛобанов-й6ш ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Dragonbord DLC is clearly better, no matter from what angle to look at it. One not bad questline vs a large location with lots of new dungeons, caves, npcs, quests, weapons, enemies etc. And as an addition to it, the DLC is connected to the Morrowind DLC, which can add some points lore-wise.

    I like Dragonborn more than Dawnguard because I like how unique and original the story and premise is. There's a story focusing on vampires, which have been done a fuck ton (doesn't mean I hate anything that focuses on vampires, just that I like things I don't experience often more because it's fresh. I liked Dawnguard, and I liked 28 Days Later, etc), then there's a story focusing on an enemy that can absorb freaking wyvern souls and control weak people's minds.

    for Me dawnguard is the "truest" skyrim dlc as it really extend skyrim lore and system and is a overhault of the base game. it added dragonbone weapon that weren't in the base game, craft arrow too, added crossbow, 2 faction and improve the werewolf/vampire system that were pretty basic in the base game and most important it game us new information about the falmer that were the most specific piece of lore of skyrim ( i mean you encounter some snow elve lore in the warrior and mage guild but dawnguard continue on that and that was really satisfying for me). dawnguard was really dedicated to skyrim.
    But dragonborn is weird because it take place in solstheim and by having this location it really feel disconected from skyrim. we already had solstheim in bloodmoon so why choose this location again and after that they just came up with the story of the first dragonborn and it just feel forced to me. everyone that play skyrim was more ingaged in the civil war, guild and overall lore than in the dragonborn story and origin, i really hoped they would choose an other subject for this dlc, they could have expand the civil war story, give us new information about the great collapse of winterhold, make us explore the sea of ghost or the hammerfell border to expand the thalmor storyline.

      But dawnguard is pretty shit in the regard that it literally deviates the player from being dragonborn and being dragonborn feels underwhelming when you have vampire Lord not to mention dragonborn has way better shouts and enemies than dawnguard

    I’d agree with 7 for Skyrim. After going back and playing it, I’d say it feels soulless and lifeless in comparison to oblivion. Which I’d probably rate 8.5/9. I know it had its own issues but the quests were superior and the game hooked you. It had so much charm and o never got bored playing it. Skyrim felt dull in comparison.

    Although Dawnguard is my favourite DLC I also give it a 9/10 but not because of the same reasons. The plothole didn't really bother me much but the thing that did bother me was goddamn Serana (I know, controversial opinion) she was the worst follower I have ever seen. You pretty much have to go with her even if you are playing as a vampire hunter that hates vampires, you can't kill her during the story so it feels like the vampire hunters aren't even doing their job, just allowing a vampire to roam the fort because she decided to show up with a scroll on her back. I personally think she should've been killed by the Dawnguard after she had exhausted her use with the elder scrolls if you sided with them and gave them the ability to kill her. (I do think there should still be an option to keep her around rather than killing her if you like her that much though) Dawnguard, 9/10, Serana sucks and ruined some of it for me seeing that the best you can do is tell her that you should part ways. I give Hearthfire an 8/10. It's a DLC that is quite relaxing and you get to choose what house you want to build and where you want to build it (out of 3 locations). It is really relaxing and adopting kids to make a family is nice but you cant really dedicate a playthrough to it as much as you can the other ones. 8/10. Dragonborn is a pretty solid middle ground for me, it has a really cool story and the Black Books make for good potential to play as a Dark-Elf Telvani Wizard who will stop at nothing to gain knowledge and power. Solstheim is a cool island with a different feel to the snowy, skaal areas and the ash-covered dark elven areas. Miirak is cool but Herma Mora stole the kill >:( 9/10. Please remember this is just my opinion (although it is quite a strong opinion) so please don't get *too* mad at me. :)

    The dawngaurd dlc is just amazing but so is the Dragonborn dlc. However, traversing through apocrypha got a little repetitive but the fight with miraak plus dragon riding is awesome! But, with dawngaurd, you can really form your character into an evil or good person, or something in between. The feeling I got while storming volkihar castle with isran was unlike anything I had ever felt while playing a video game. Also, ravaging towns and terrorizing citizens as a vampire monster is also crazy!😂 the ability to use auriels bow to either shroud the sun or cause blasts of light to shoot down… so cool. The dawngaurd dlc really is something else even thought it’s not as complex as Dragonborn.

    I loved the Dragonborn DLC the best as it shows what could happen if the dragonborn decided to turn on the world, and he is a dragon priest. Miraak, was seduced with promises of power and forbidden knowledge by the Daedric Prince of Knowledge and Fate, Hermaeus Mora.
    Mirrak then plots to turn against the dragon overlords. Vahlok eventually defeated Miraak, but just as he was about to kill him, Hermaeus Mora saved Miraak by transporting him to the realm of Apocrypha, Vahlok and Miraak's battle was so tense that the land of Solstheim got ripped apart from the land of Skyrim.
    There is so much lore within Merethic Era.
    Oh. and if you finnish the main Skyrim story there is a bit more dialog between you (Dragonborn) and Mirrak (First Encounter) just started ps4 dragborn just a few days ago.
    oh my dlc list fav to worst
    Dragonborn
    DawnGuard
    HearthFire

    My problem is, I never played Skyrim. And my first experience was buying Skyrim VR. Which I really enjoy.
    However I have a character with a fully built house. All skills maxed a few times for some to get to higher levels.
    But I got all the DLC at the same time as I got the original game. So I have done none of the DLC unless I randomly encountered a quest for it.
    Never been or seen a vampire or werewolf. I know they are part of the game but I have no clue how to find the quests. So I just go make a new character
    every now and then and pretty much ignore the DLC.
