    Hi Aurelius, thank you for this great explanation. I have a question; how do you prevent access to Canva links by more than one person? For instance, you send pdf document with links to your client, what if he/she shares the pdf document with his/her friend? Will third parties be able to edit your templates?

    • @myoldtimeradiotvchannel3010

    Thank you for your helpful videos, Aurelius! I have a question about selling digital downloads on Etsy (such as the Canva templates you talk about in this video).
    I am planning to be traveling for a while (a few months). I have heard that Etsy has been known to shut down stores just for logging in to the account (or doing basic store functions) from locations other than the country you registered the store in. Could you shed some light on how to correctly sell on Etsy and still be able to travel? (You could think of it like being a digital nomad - never knowing where you'll be in a week, but still wanting the ability to sell on Etsy without getting shut down all of a sudden). Thanks very much!

    • @AureliusTjin
      @AureliusTjin  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Adam. I don’t have too much experience with Etsy particularly but I have been through that scenario that you described but with different platforms/services. Travelled for 4 months and was logging into my online banking, PayPal, Google, etc. I would suggest contacting and giving your important services a heads up. Next, I would make sure to have 2-step verification using an authentication key such as a Yubi security key or even using your phone as it has NFC built into it. This works particularly well for Google related services. Only you with the key can access your accounts. I would check with Etsy’s security processes to see what you can do. Always best to contact them directly.

    So even after creating a template from scrap you can only sell to canva users only?
    And you can't sell to others outside the canva community of users? Then what good is it for. If you wanna sell to outsiders random people.

      If you design a Canva Template from *scratch* it can be used in Canva, because that's what it's for. But you can create other salable items on Canva to your heart's content.

      @@Adn295 yes you can. But I believe you need to have an account with Canva so you can save your designs. Search for a video by Sandra Di, called How to Create Printables in Canva to Sell on ETSY.

    for your customer to edit them do they edit them in Canva as well? Do they also have to have a Pro account to do that?

      Yes, they edit in Canva. They do not need a Pro account.

    I am trying to figure out if I can make a template that is only partly customizable. Only some of the elements can be changed. Does that make sense? I don't want them to recreate the whole thing, just the "name" or the "date" per se.

      You don’t need a Pro account now to share as template. Even free users can use this feature.

    I appreciate all the value you share! So to clarify, I cannot sell my photo quotes or templates I've made on Canva, unless I upgrade to Pro? What if it's my own photo and my own personal quote but I added the typography using Canva fonts?

    • @AureliusTjin
      @AureliusTjin  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks Lisa. In general, you can sell your designs, but if you are wanting to sell your designs to your customers with the ability to edit them, then you will need a Canva Pro account, otherwise the "Share a link to use as template" feature is disabled. Hope that clarifies.

      @@AureliusTjin I watch a channel called “wholesale Ted”. Sarah, on that channel, uses canva to create her designs, but she mentioned that the graphics and phonts that are available on the free account are the only ones licensed to be resold. On the pro account she said they are not. Are you familiar with this? I’m now confused lol

    • @AureliusTjin

      @@lesliebean4594 Yes, that makes sense what she's talking about. This is because of license restrictions and copyright. I cannot give advice but can point you to some info. Read through about.canva.com/license-agreements/onedesign/ under "3. Permitted Uses". I would also be wary of using free stock images as you do not know the exact source of the photos.
