I love that you just put the results at the beginning. None of the "stick around for the results at the end". Quality content - subscribed.
I love how direct and authentic his presentation is. Not nearly enough creators out there him. Refreshing af.
Agreed! And he's showing his numbers instead of "Check out what this other shop did" - Love the authenticity
@@iMakeThatHi maybe you can explain me, how it works, because he has the same number of orders each month, but income increase. How it is possible?
@@biurowytrenerexcelaoh lol I didn’t even notice that. Must’ve sold either a higher price item or had larger orders in general 🤷
@@iMakeThat Tim Koa replied in one of comments here that he sold product for 12-15$ each so it does not match...
Very Refreshing! I felt the same way watching it. He discussed realist expectations and didn't try to oversell himself or his results for clicks and views!
Man.. you have no idea just how much you're helping and inspiring me..
You got this!
Yeah, same here
I felt the same, helped and inspired
You guys will get the biggest reality checks of your lives.
Me too. Thank you so much. It was exactly what i needed right now
I agree with selling something you'd want for yourself.
Not only does it make the process more FUN.
Odds are, if you like/want it, someone else might want it too.
Underwhelming? Bro! What are you talking about? That's so much money, I'm Proud of you Tim❤
It depends on what you compare it with, completely okay for a small side project or as a start, but if you are still making more than minimum wage in your country per hour, it would be better to learn a skill or get a job. Not bad for a start though.
@@analogueapples It's also revenue, not profit, so it's meaningless. He could be spending 95% of the revenue on ads and making 5% profit. Why does he not talk about the real business metrics?
The fact that he already showed how much he sold in the first 10 seconds in addition to the great editing of the video made me realise when I finished that I was watching this at 1x speed (ultimate compliment lol)
You continuously motivate me to continue with Etsy and sell the prints that I do! Thank you for always keeping the energy positive and bless you and your family! I appreciate you
Thank you so much for sharing this new journey with everyone! I'm a graphic designer and just venturing out into the printables business, seeing your figures and progress was incredibly inspiring!
Got my first digital sale yesterday, been a very busy 2 weeks so haven’t been thinking about my shop even. So that was a nice feeling!
Hi, how is it going? And how do you market and promote your digital products?
Just recently found you, and I absolutely love and appreciate your videos. Your content is some of the most authentic and genuine out there, not just propaganda to sell a course. Your videos inspire me and let me know this is something I can actually start. Thank you so much for sharing.
This is awesome Tim! I think what matters most is that upward growth. You results are all positive news!
what was the digital product you sold?

He can't give you all of the sauce.
Selling digital artworks. Hand-drawn artworks no AI 🙂↕️
A fabulous, inspirational video & the sharing of your personal experience. I run a small ETSY shop and really enjoying watching these types of videos. Thank you Tim from Colorado!
Totally agree with you, its very amazing to get that 3 months! I kept meaning to try figital products, but you have helped me give that push to do it. Thank you for doing such great videos!
Your tone of voice is so calming, and the content is thought provoking and inspiring. Thank you for sharing! I’m subscribing 😊
Thank you for being so transparent and always sharing so much value in your video!
I love your videos. Really inspiring and also calming at the same time. Thank you for sharing and enjoy hearing about your successes.
Another - THANK YOU for everything you're sharing! I recently found your content and you've motivated me to go back to my 2019 etsy shopn with just 3 listings and give it another go. It has been a dream for me to make this happen for more years than I'd like to admit. You've really helped me decide to try again and see what happens! ❤ Have an amazing & inspired day!
I really like your realistic approach to things. Specially your attention to not sharing the new shop so you can get as close as you can to a beginner
love it!! love how honest and direct this experience is. Thanks a lot for giving the details on how to start doing this and have real expectations, this still seems great!!!💞
First time viewer, and WOW. Awesome information. I especially appreciate your approach for people to stick to subjects they know. Wise words, Young Man. Thank you!
You're a huge inspiration Tim, I've been following your progress for a few years now and I'm looking forward to hearing more about your new shop, even if it just ends up being an experiment. The fact that you've replicated your success means you're definitely doing something right. Your numbers for the first 3 months are very impressive, I don't think anyone would say no to an extra few hundred a month.
I'm an artist and I've been struggling for years to turn art into my fulltime income. I finally did it through building up my clients and getting some larger jobs, but I realise now that I really want to be financially independent. Making my own products has always been in the back of my mind, but my priorities were elsewhere.
I'm sure you hear this a million times a day, but I really struggle with coming up with ideas. You say to find inspiration in the things you know and I know art, but I just can't think of a problem to solve within that space.
It's amusing to see some people attempting to provoke you into revealing your shop. Keep your second shop private until you are ready to share it.
I agree. None of the TH-camrs tell the details about their shop names or anything. I don’t tell mine and don’t plan to.
☮️✝️💟
I think this is amazing results especially for a new shop in a competitive environment. Great video!
This is amazing! Thanks for sharing. I've been thinking about selling digital products and I don't expect to really sell much because I as an etsy shopper myself I noticed that the niches are saturated.
Because I am located in Latin America, shipping physical products is a nightmare, so yes digital products is a good option I believe, I have no income at the moment so seeing this experience is motivating, and technically I have nothing to loose.
Watching your video feels like i'm listening to a friend. You are so calm, natural and inspiring. I wish you success in everything you do❤
Awesome success!
As someone with a fairly large POD shop and a tiny digital shop I’ll say that POD is a lot more work due to so much customer service needed.
In my digital shop I have about 350 sales and have gotten ONE message from a customer … in the POD shop it’s never ending. Questions, custom requests, “where’s my package?! - it’s been in your mailbox since yesterday…”
You’re doing something wrong if you’re getting that many messages!
Look at setting better customer expectations.
Look at giving the info you get asked about, more preemptively.
Make the answers to your questions as obvious as possible.
You got this!
@@jayswayworks haha often they just need to go look in their mailbox. Not sure how to make them do that :D
Or questions about where are the rest of their items, when I have already told them “for orders with more than 1 item they may arrive separately”.
Ohhh gotcha- I don’t list items that can’t be fulfilled by a single printer (for the most part anyway).. Gave up that headache 5 years ago. Friggin nightmare at xmas 😂
Never again.
Great video! I really admire the way you've organized it and your calm presentation style. I found it insightful to see the results upfront, but I struggled a bit with clarity. For instance, I was curious about the number of digital products you've created and the time it took to develop them. Looking forward to more of your content!
I second this
This is my first time watching you but I've already subscribed! You are one of the people that I need right now to inspire me.... as I think that's one big step for me to finally take action. I'm already planning to sell digital products since last year, but couldn't make it as a priority, sadly. But thank you!!! I hope I can push through now.
As always, insightful and encouraging. I really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and advice. I hope when I eventually launch my shop it shall help many people.
Thanks for this. I'm so glad to find Canadian content creators.
Thanks Tim! I have just started with my digital product for a month now, all you have said purely realistic and since then I dont feel alone in this anymore…❤
Could you share more on how you marketed the digital product you sell in the beginning?
I agree, I'd love to know as well
Yes and how many followers on your platforms
pleasee
I'm joining on the please show us bandwagon haha
Prolly just promote or ads on etsy
This video was very soothing and informative, thank you. I was actually looking for a video relating to e-commerce and using CMS and I got interested with this title that I thought this was also helpful with my search. I’ll be watching more of your videos!
Great video! Refreshing to hear a TH-camr being honest about the reality of what it’s like starting online business appreciate it 👍🏼
Your honesty, introvert also I had to subscribe! Im studying all the possibilties around e-commerce and whats better, risks, how to use tools all is so advance right now from when i learned programming at school. Ill be checking your sticker store as well! Wish you all the best 😃
Subscribed! Thank you! I really appreciate what feels like an authentic approach to explaining Etsy. I’m in my 3rd month at 5 sales but I’m definitely seeing improvements in the style and quality of my work. Hopefully it will pay off soon!
Loved your video. Thank you very much for sharing it and for the encouragement to the new Etsy sellers. I've just started a new Etsy store myself, selling digital products (Canva templates), and I am really looking forward to my first sale ;)
Thanks for sharing. I'm about to start my digital products selling journey. Still doing more research and exploring things. You earned another sub here. ❤
Hey Tim, thank you so much for this video, I have a much clearer outlook on starting out now! have a lovely day :)
Thank you for this video. You have given me some things to think about. I think I might do a “bundle” with my digital products to help put it in that $10-15 dollar price range.
Awesome video.. I’m toying with the idea of starting a digital download shop too.
The freedom of location is definitely underrated and undervalued!
Looking forward to following along!
So happy to watch your channel grow! I also have a sticker shop and started doing digitals over at Patreon as well, it's been so nice to not have to make and ship stickers 👍
great content as always. really resonated with what you said about liking what you make. to be honest, your last video, I think, about side hustles ideas, inspired me to build and launch a digital product in a not so crowded market. thing is, I think it's a great product but I don't think I would use it myself and now it's been hard forcing me to work on this project based only on the (many) benefits that come from selling digital products. anyway, good food for thought. thanks tim, inspiring vid as always.
Brilliant, insightful, and sincere. I enjoyed this video. Keep up the good work!
His take is so refreshing, no BS, no "make $10k in a day!" or "get rich in a month!" he's genuine and he's speaking about the good and the bad while keeping expectations realistic, i really feel inspired to start my own etsy shop, i've been thinking about it for some time and this just inspires me more!
I love how the video explains a lot of things like expectations and the reality of this type of business
Thank you for keeping it real and sharing your experience. Very inspiring 🙂
Hey Tim, bet you've heard this a hundred times by now. You're really helping and inspiring us normal people! Keep it up mate. :)
Hi Tim, I love your videos 😊 looking forward to the next ones
Congrats on your new endeavor! I'm SURE it'll go well for you!!
Love the take and knowledge share. I’m in the same boat as a designer 30 days in to a new store with new designs. Gotta keep pushing!
This is a very informative video! Thank you for pointing out the pro's and cons
I appreciate you keeping it genuine and realistic 🤙
ngl before clicking this video I expected it to be some kind of “why you shouldn’t try selling digital products” video but I’m glad I was wrong. I want to start my own Etsy shop now. And btw, you have a great narrating voice, these 13 minutes passed very quickly. thank you for this great content!
This is inspiring with realistic expectations which makes the video so valuable to watch. Thanks for sharing your experience transparently for others to have some ideas of what to expect if planning to start a business of any sorts. Thank you! 🙏🏼
That’s not underwhelming at all, It’s Inspiring because when you come to think about It, In those 3 months you could’ve just been laying around and not being productive at all! So knowing that you actually made a useful use of your time and got something back out of It Is AMAZING!!! Great job man!
Great wholesome, quality, inspirational video dude. Thanks!
Awesome video and very real inspiration! How do the hell did I just manage to come across your channel! Keep up the good work and already subscribed!
This was so helpful. I’m diving into selling handmade products but I’m also working on doing digital products.
Hey, just want to let you know. This video has been really helpful and i learn few new things from you. You've earned a new sub.
Love the digital product ideas! It is pretty surprising how well these products actually do😱
Thank you Tim! I love watching your videos. They are very inspiring and I like how your videos create a very calming energy. I was wondering if you utilize any social media to increase the traffic? And how many listings do you create on a regular basis? Thanks!
Awesome. I love your videos. I've been watching your channel since the beginning. Nice one!
Wow.. that genuinely real story makes me really want to know more. Thanks for these real experiences and examples
🔥 the growth month after month and great breakdown
Another great video Tim! Thank you for this I have been considering digital product and POD for the same reasons. Thank you for sharing your experience and I think it is wise to not share your shop, at least for now.
Hi! I definitely want to learn more about your digital product journey. Thank you for your honesty about the process. I want to create digital products but I need help with ideas and product creation.
So awesome. I've been heavily considering starting a digital product store! This was so inspiring :)
Go for it Sean!
Finally a creator who speaks truth
Thank you
Please keep doing the same 👏
Just following because of your authenticity and transparency
Brother great stuff! thank you for your authenticity!
Nice! I’m excited to see an update on this. 👍🏻
This was great! Simple and straightforward 👍🏼
This is the video that got me to sub. Thank you for sharing ❤
Thanks for sharing your journey!! ❤🎉
My digital product store is much more niche but hopefully I’ll hit those numbers once I finish studying and can put more time into it 😂 (mine is livestream/twitch graphics)
Can’t wait to see the followup video and how you marketed the new shop!
Thank you for this video! Very informative and useful!
This was such a great video…like engaged the whole way..authentic…great work and congratulations on your success. Your content was Google recommended
This is awesome! Would love to see how you implement the print on demand options 👍🏻
Thanks for inspiration ! I really love stickers 🥰🥰🥰
Congratulations! That’s amazing 🎉😊
Awesome video, thank you so much for posting!
Thank you! Starting my digital shop)
I definitely think digital products are good, rather than just one shop I feel its good to look at your overall businesses income like a table, you need multiple foundational legs to keep things stable, digital products are a good leg for all the reasons you mentioned. That being said, id probably move away from etsy after awhile if I found that I was getting lost as a brand among everything else on there. Digital products also get copied so fast if something sells.
I wish you the best of luck. Spending more time with your children is important, and this gives you that flexibility. I look forward to following your digital journey. 😊 P.S. In 2006 I wanted to sell digital products but it was not possible until I paid for a shop. Sadly I have had a nightmare with hosting sites. I gave up trading for a while. But now I hope is the time to start again. Thank you for making this video. 😊
Thank you for such an honest video!
Great story, good luck with this new project 👍
You have amazing conversation rate. That shows you have unique design. Congratz!
Hey Tim, thank you for the great video and the nice insight
quick question, can you share how many listings it took for you to get 1st sale and up to this day? would really help me get a perspective of things
many thanks!
I never comment, but you are a Gem Dude. Keep that coming 🎉
Thank you. I think you just pushed me off the ledge of wanting to try this.
I love your calming & informative ways. I'm so inspired by you. Congrats on your businesses! I was wondering what you think of "changes" in Etsy that I hear about, such as business accounts being deleted, etc.?
Oops, by "business accounts," I meant shops in my question above. Thanks.
I enjoyed your humorous take in the video comparing your process selling stickers versus digital products 😂
Hey mate, thanks heaps for your video. I was wondering if you would mind sharing your light set up? Your videos are so smooth and I really like the light set up
I've just opened a store. Nothing in it yet but i think what you are making is pretty good. I hope i can start like that and ramp up over time. After a year its extra money that could pay for a trip or somewhat extravagant purchase.
Definitely a good way to approach it! Wish you the best
Give us a TH-cam setup video, please. Lighting looks so soft and nice
very informative and inspirational! thank you!
You inspire me so much!!
Can't wait to watch your step-by-step video of how to sell digital product on etsy 😊😊😊
