is there a hidden fee associated with this free offer, or will we be required to pay at some point? thanks, ms Kate for answering my inquiry. I would really love to learn and join your boot camp. thank you so much for the great help.
Wow, teaching is your superpower. You don’t skip a beat. Genuine too! Thanx for the info on Wedding Invitations. Always wondered how that was accomplished. Think I’ll stay in my lane for now though.
@@EricaLucasLovesThat can definitely be intimidating! Canva has two different licenses- one for free content and one for pro content. So it doesn’t depend on which plan you have but what types of content you use in your designs to sell. You can read both to see what each allows on their website! (*BTW disclaimer- I’m not a legal professional so this isn’t meant to be legal advice… just my understanding of it 😉)
I have a couple questions: 1. You create your digital product (link) 2. Then you have to create a PDF (Letter) to incorporate the link and introduce the product to the client - Can you use a template for this step? 3. And when you go to sell it on Etsy, again you have to create another file, or just a mock-up? If you could please clarify :)
@@loritastoimenova9999 for the PDF deliverable, I would create your own instead of using a template since it technically is being used for commercial purposes. Then when you get ready to list it on Etsy, all you’ll need to actually *create* for this step are the mock-ups/images for your listing. The rest is just filling out the info when you click to add a new listing on Etsy. Hopefully that helps clarify!
Great insight on the potential of Canva templates as a revenue stream! 🌟 To boost sales, consider tailoring your designs to seasonal trends and current events, which can help your templates stay relevant and in-demand.
This video was so helpful! I’m just starting out and wedding invites is what I would like to start with! You answered all my questions and made it very easy to follow along! Thank you! 👏🏼
Can you share about how it is going till now??? I'm nervous but I want to start but I want someone who's realistic to tell me how they are doing who's new in this field just like me
Hi Kate, could you please go into further detail on what happens after a customer purchases the digital download. They buy, they edit and then is it our responsibility to include on a mockup card what type of file they need to download it in, what type of printer is best printing(inkjet or laser), to specify that an envelope is not provided?
Great questions! The only thing they are purchasing from you is the template so it’s up to them what they do with it from there but it’s always helpful to be specific (in the listing description and images) what is included in the template, recommended options for printing their final file if needed, etc. The buyer will definitely appreciate more info than less!
Another fantastic video from our friend Kate and I appreciate all your videos and the help you provide. Obviously based on Etsy there's a lot of people planning to get married. Even though I am not married myself it wouldn't stop me from making money from those who are planning to get married. Love 🥰 the video and love 💕 Kate & ❤️ Nick.
Wow! Lots of great information and advice. Thanks Kate! One issue I see with this is that, I would think, the template itself should have a transparent background as well, so they can put it on any color of invitation paper they want. Otherwise, the background would always be white (or whatever color they may change it to). But, they would also have to have a Canva Pro account so they can save their copy of the template with a transparent background as well. Is that correct?
Great information, please note that to be able to filter between FREE&PRO elements you must have Canva pro. That filter will not show up on a free account.
thank you so glad to have found your channel. Making my template this month, need to do some research on what I plan to offer. I see no steps missed wish more creators would provide how to do the deliverable.
Rich content right there, Kate. I do want to start creating digital products as a business, starting with templates and Ebooks. I use Canva on a daily basis in my elementary tech teaching profession, which makes it a best fit for me.
Thanks for the step by step tutorial. I’d like to know a little more about mock ups? Just to be sure there aren’t any legal implications by using for commertial purposes
FYI. ETSY needs to have a credit card before you post your first product. - they have free but needs to have your credit card first , then needs to pay( if you want ) after free subscription
Great video! The only thing I find difficult is to create these digital products with zero graphic design experience. It might be difficult to stand out as there are probably a lot of skilled sellers on etsy.
I totally get that- it can be really intimidating. Definitely take a few minutes and watch my free masterclass (linked in description)- it addresses this!!
I’m glad I found your video. I have a question: Do I need to make any payment when creating an Etsy account or uploading items? Are there any fees involved? If possible, could you make a video about the buying process and how we receive money when others purchase our templates?
Hi Kate, appreciate tons for your efforts in making these videos💌 We learn a lot! May I know if 'Elements' and 'Fonts' are the only two things we need to make sure it's FREE version for buyers? For example, can we utilise 'Magic Media' (only accessible for Canva Pro) in our designs for selling? Because I'm looking to start this digital product business, but am torn whether to use a Pro account. What if there things in my design process where the buyers can't access?
You wanna use canvas free designs when you’re creating templates for customers to edit. Otherwise they’ll need a pro account to access your templates that have any pro designs in it.
Hi thank you for the awesome video. I have just one question, whats makes Sale samurai better that other keyword research etsy tools? I just get confused with all them and what use. Thank you
You can definitely use pro elements for other types of products (like final instant download files), just better not to on templates. You also get several features and tools with Canva Pro that you don’t get on the free plan which is why I love it!
How do these digital creators compile bulk designs of 300+? are they bulk designing in canva (which i do not feel it works well with every style/type)? thanks.

I love this! But if the customer can go into canva and editing the invitation or the order they get why they don't go in canva and just make their own design use it for their wedding? What make them buy one?
Simple: some people don't have the time and are willing to spend a few bucks instead of wasting valuable time Orr it's just that people are too lazy to do it themselves and rather spend money

If there's no option for free or pro , then you have the free option . Just make sure that you don't use any elements that have a crown on it
Hey! i make my own elements, do i just put it on a template? what i mean is i create a template only using the elements that i created.
Yes you can do this. :)
I thought if you are paying for pro on canva that you could use the grafics and publish and that no watermark shows up?
thank you for this video ❤
Thank you! I took tons of notes.
Awesome! Glad it helped!
How would you be able to send news later and freebies??

Yes if the quality is high!
After creating a template how do i sell it and make money/ get paid
You can sell them on platforms like Etsy, Shopify, and Creative Market :)
But isn't wedding niche so saturated?
Any niche we look at can be considered saturated! It’s about making myself stand out against the rest! Making competitive prices, seeing what everyone is doing and then leveling up what I have to offer! I’m not saying copy or imitate! Even the biggest companies in the world get inspiration! They should be able to easily sign up for a free account :)
I dont understand, if the buyer can edit the template themselves, why would the buy it from you, they can come on canvas and do it free too or use their canva pro account ?
True but most people want to save time and effort and don’t want to have to start from scratch so they’ll buy pre-made templates :)
