Best Platform To Sell Digital Products For Beginners

- In this video, I share the best platform to sell digital products for beginners on a small budget. If you're looking to sell any type of digital product such as eBooks, guides, PDFs, templates, and printables, this platform is what I recommend you start with.
The platform is called Payhip. You can sign up free at aurelius.link/payhip
Payhip did not sponsor me to make this video so my thoughts expressed in this video are based on my experience and what I would genuinely recommend to those starting out.
Here are just a few reasons why I suggest Payhip if you're just starting out:
1. $0 to start and no monthly fees or subscriptions. You only pay a transaction fee of just 5% + Stripe/PayPal fees.
2. You can create a store to house your products using its store builder.
3. Built-in marketing such as cross-selling, upgrades, affiliate program, email marketing and more.
4. Sell online courses. Your students will be able to login to a portal to go through your course with an LMS (Learning Management System) style interface.
NOTES:
• To clarify, Payhip’s fee on its free option is 5% + PayPal/Stripe fees. Gumroad is 9% + 30c per transaction but the 9% already includes the payment processing fee.
• Payhip does not market your product for you. It isn't a marketplace like Etsy. In the end, you have to do your own marketing of your products/services.

Aurelius, another homerun! Thanks so much for your willingness to share, but more importantly, the honesty and depth of your explanations. Wish others were as genuine and authentic! Keep up the great work, I definitely appreciate it!
Thank you so much Antwaun! Made my day! Thanks for watching and your support.
@@AureliusTjin my pleasure!
Thanks Aurelius, as always great content!
WOW! This is the first time I've heard of Payhip and oh my it seems amazing. Sure you give up a percentage on the free plan but if you're starting out and looking for a way to save, it's not a bad deal at all. Definitely will look into this more. Thanks for the great overview and sharing your experience too.
I love Payhip, so easy to use & manage, totally straight forward, impressive range of tools & personalisation options too!
This was full of detail and truly helpful. I appreciate you sharing this👊🏾
Appreciate your encouraging and insightful reviews Mr Tjin - keep up the awesome educational and uplifting videos.
You’re welcome and thank you Dave. I appreciate your comment.
Same here. I can listing goods by my own and no need to watches any tutur video before I start. So easy, so intuitive. Thanks for your sharing to let me know deeper about payhip.
Thank you so much for all the amazing informational videos and tutorial. I've learned so much from your videos. Keep up the awesome work 👏🏾
You’re welcome and thanks for watching!
Thank you Aurelius for your in-depth insight as usual!👌
Love your videos! Always learn something! Thanks!
Thanks Aurelius. This was very timely for me and helpful. For a $0 investment to dig in and see if it works for what I am planning is definitely worth my time.
Thank you for this video. I wasn't sure which platform to use! this looks great.
Thank you so much. You are straight forward and honest gentlemen.
When I need to know something, I come to you first. Love your PLRs.
Very useful! I know I'm starting with a simple digital item but this shows me ways I can grow.
Thank you so much, this has been invaluable help and advice.
thanks for making your content so easy to understand. I will be going with payhip :)
Thx a lot for your introduction & infos! Really helpfull!👍🏻
Thank you, Aurelius. Very useful information.
Great advice, thank you for sharing.
Great info m8. Thank you
This is excellent, thanks. Struggled to find a good solution. This is perfect for my needs.
You sir are a bonafide rockstar! Thank you!!!!!!!
Thank you! As always, an extremely informative video.🙏🙏
Thanks Deni!
thank you very much for this, it's really helpful
Thank you because I was kinda torn between the two, but your explanation of the fee structure made up my mind.
Yes, but do take note Gumroad’s 9% already includes Stripe/PayPal fees. Payhip works out to be slightly less.
Thanks. I am a new Creator and was seriously looking at Gumroad due to the zero upfront cost but didn't like their format as it didn't have the module features. I didn;t know about payhip until your video so THANKS!
Let’s say people from other countries want to buy my e book do I need to do an extra adjustment or it would still work?
Thank you for a very informative video!
A very clear and useful guide! Excellent work! I wanted to ask: is it possible to sell the same products on different sites?
Have you been working out, Aurelius? You definitely look in good shape! Thanks for the great video as always!
Haha thanks buddy. Yes, I train calisthenics a couple of days a week. Gotta stay fit and healthy to stay sane and keep up with the kids!
Wow this is amazing thank u so much this is good for beginners
Thank you for sharing I’ll start using this today to promote my courses.
Oh awesome! Good luck with it!
Nice video! Very informative
Well done 🙂🙂
Nice job Aurelius! Question. With the Affiliate module, do they pay the affiliates directly or just provide the sales records and users have to pay their affiliates? Thanks, Vito
Thanks a lot..much appreciated
Nice sharing dear brother 🙏💐
You are just excellent!
Great very helpful. Thankyou.
Thanks for the information that you gave. I have a question. How do potential customers find your course do you need to advertise your course yourself? Or is there a online market that they put it on or something like that
Hi Aurelius. I already have an online store with my e-book on my website. I'm looking for a Platform that will serve more as a Sales channel or extension to my existing online store.
I found that some of the Platform do not allow you to have another sales page.
Sounds interesting but these new platforms need to build reputation and brand awareness so users can also profit in that way marketing wise as you need people to visit their site. With a Payhip store it is different as you are more in control of direct marketing your store/url.
Just found you...what a Godsend 😊thank you!
Oh wow from this video? TH-cam’s algorithm does wonders 😊 thanks for watching and hope my videos help you.
man you deliver!
Cheers Sandroider!
Which one is good to work with from tablet, not from laptop or desktop pc
I love you sir thank you for this knowledge I appreciate sir
Excellent 👍 video
Excellent presentation
Thank you!
TU ES TRÈS BEAU ET DOUÉ 👍🏻👍🏻
Hello Aurelius, how does the blog post functionality work in Payhip? How do blog posts display on the platform?
THANK YOUUU🎉
That was super helpful! Do you have a special recommendation for travel related ebooks (guides and itineraries)?
My payhip account was closed because I was selling PLR products. TOS:
PLR/MRR or content with resale rights
PLR (Private Label Rights) and MRR (Master Resale Rights) content are not allowed on Payhip
Thank you 👍
Mate this platform is god, thx a lot ❤
Is tgere anything in canva or somewhere where i upload any cartoon picture and rather i have to draw it it automatically generate that picture into editable png?
Thank you for uploading this video
You’re welcome
Hi, I've watched a few of your videos and I can see that you are extremely well versed in e-commerce platforms and tools. I don't know if you do this, but I'm super new to all this and would love to have a 1 on 1 personal consultation with you (paid of course). I'm a teacher that has come up with a new approach for teaching languages in the classroom and there is A LOT to it. Keeping my fingers crossed...
dopeness!
Thank you
Thanks 👍
Does payhip have a feature where buyers cannot screenshot your ebook?
For your ebook: Why aren't you using the Epub format instead of PDF?
which is better to use, do they all have a customer base, or do you have to bring customers to it?
Thanks for the video. I just finished my ebook and have been trying to decide whether to have a landing page, payhip or others.
If you’re looking for no fuss yet still have the tools to sell your products, Payhip is enough. If you’re looking to create a more custom landing page, there are more suitable options such as Wordpress with a combination of themes and plugins. It just takes more time to setup.
Nice i was looking for a website where i can sell guitar tutorials, i'm going to give it a shot!
GumRoad is the road that has ALL of the chewing gum that you would EVER need! Bubble Yum, Juicy Fruit, you name it! Yum Yum lol. 😆
Oh wow haha. Gumroad’s branding is quite colourful!
@@AureliusTjin True.
how would i get traffic to payhip for buyers to my solar pannal website
Hello Aurelius, great tutorial, thank you. Does Payhip would bring traffic to our digital products?
Just subbed
Does Payhip have an aidiobook component?
Hello I'm creating a vegan eBook which one do you think i should go through that will be easy and fast to do?
I've heard Payhip and yes I've registered but I don't have product to sell yet.
Many thanks Aurelius for an interesting channel, so much good information. I'm thinking of setting up a Payhip account to sell and market Notion templates. When you purchase a Notion template it is done via a web link. How would you add that link to an upload in Payhip? Would it have to be put into a Word doc or PDF file first? Thanks.
Yes, a PDF file with instructions on how to copy the Notion template 👌
@@AureliusTjin Many thanks for your reply.
These platforms don't sell the products. Do you know which platforms, if any do?
I think Payhip is much better
Great info as always. Can you recommend any good courses for getting started on creation and selling of digital products?
Can one promote affiliate products on payhip from clickbank and others
Both of these are great platforms, even I created an account on both after watching one of your videos about this!
Awesome
Great! Where can we get the link so we can include it on our IG accounts? Thank you!
And the keep adding new languages 😊
Is need credit card to sell there?
First one to comment. :) awesome video, as always
Much appreciated!
Thank you. This was helpful. I've been building a comparison table of the usual suspects and had narrowed it down to PayHip and Gumroad. Your quick demo helped me figure out which one to go with it (PayHip). I will use your affiliate link to sign up and get started. Thanks again! 😃
Oh that’s awesome! And if anything, you can always switch as it should be too difficult. Thanks for using my link! I don’t get anything anyway lol
@@AureliusTjin [re. link] Well...lol...maybe for your tracking then. Thanks again.
Why not use both? and GoImagine
Thank you for your sharing. May I ask you how does Payhip work in order to promote your product ? Do you need to pay for advertising in order to promote and let customer find your product?
You need to do your own marketing to promote your products and drive traffic to your store. It's not a marketplace like Etsy.
The comment from Thee Real Nono is 100% right. These platforms do not market your product for you. Even with Gumroad’s Marketplace, your product does not get promoted. It can potentially get featured but that’s if it makes a lot of sales and other criteria.
Hello on which platform can I sell my digital books in PLR Thank you Aurelius
Really great content...can you guide on is it better than beacons? Does it offer email automation
Can you recommend a drop shipping digital products platform?
Can you have different stores in payhip? For example if you want to focus on two different niches?
You could by simply creating two separate accounts.
How about Ionos?
Does payhip have a marketplace to search other people's products?
I prefer creative market and Karimoos for graphics
Can you create a subscriber based model through this ??
Great video mate! Do you think Payhip is good for my digital products? I sell assets for VTT games etc... also printable products they can print and use on tabletop gaming etc... I need it to have membership option as well
Payhip would be a better and more easier option.
Great video, my only question is what if you don't have your own e-book/product? Totally new here.. lol
You think at one and have to create one …
I'm almost sold but you cannot add your promotional video to sell courses in any way. Sadly the "featured product" section isn't available for courses. The "video" segment allows you to only embed youtube or vimeo videos, a bit sad!
Thank you Aurelius for your didactic explanation. I have two questions about Payhip platform:
1. How does Payhip handle taxes? In Europe there is a tax called VAT that is included when a transaction is made.
2. I understand that payments for the purchase of books are made through a Payhip payment gateway. I would like you to confirm this point.
I think Payhip provides an answer to that on their website, if you haven’t checked already.
Is it world wide?
