- I made this ages ago... but never felt comfortable releasing it due to the whole XC/XC2 connection being a huge spoiler... but well.. since XC3 spoils that... here ya go.

Honestly, Rex's speech hits a lot harder without music.
I personally think the music adds a lot to the scene
I think drifting souls definitely adds to Rex's speech, but when combined with 1s ending it would be pretty distracting lol
IMO Xeno 1 speech Hit alot harder then then then one from X2
Drifting soul really doesn't fit anywhere in the game for me. The first time was probably the best, but even then I'd rather have a song that expresses more hopelessness.
That type of song would only really work if there wasn't any talking, in a montage type scene imo
@@dugtrioramen Drifting Soul is played in victorous moments due to the first time being played in a hopeless situation. The anthem of defeat being turned on its head and used to signify triumph. While, yeah, a different song, maybe with Drifting Soul's motif would have been better, I like what they did.
I will never not laugh at the Malos face plant. The absolute intensity before the simple "plop" always get me, even with this amazing match-up.
There's a reason it ends there :P

We only have one week left
I played 2 before I played DE, for better or for worse, so I just finished DE a couple of days ago and I got to the Zanza scene, and it was SO HYPE AAAAGHHHH I love these games! I knew they synced up together, as intended, but I didn't know they felt so,,,, interconnected? The scripts all feel like its one game and not two. They don't feel divided and they match perfectly. Excellent writing tbh
Aye I noticed it after going through DE and then decided to edit it to see if it worked together... and well...
I have to wonder if the bonus story in XC1 was actually due to hinting that this war that we'll end up seeing in XC3 is tied to that, and that the two worlds are in the danger of colliding.
Well, they apparently had plans for XC3 in between XC and XC2!
I’ve heard that the 2 worlds have already collided. That’s why I’m the trailer you see a Monado and a Fallen Titan in the opening screen at the end of the trailer when they’re playing the flutes. The only question is what has it done to both? Do blades still exist or only flesh eaters? Did Mythra and Pyrah eventually die after losing their connection to the Conduit? Or are they still around? Etc. we just gotta wait and see how it’s affected both and see where it’s headed.

@@elitetrooper119 My current headcannon is that the worlds merged when in XC1 it was made anew just as the Titans landed and merged to make Elysium, since in my understanding XC2 was basically the original universe. So the mythos of Bionis and Mechonis came over to the world where Elysium was just made and the mythos of Blades still existed. Now why after centuries they're at each others throats with almost similar technology, one more focused on technology use of ether and the other on the mystery of ether, is what im curious about
@@ShadowNerd92 sounds like an interesting head canon. I myself am only just now getting into this stuff. I just watched the Xenoblade 2 cutscene movies. Am a huge fanboy now. I can’t say that I don’t like any of the members out of Rex’s group of friends that go with him to the world tree and stop Malos. I like each one in their own way. No clue as to the other games yet. So I’m only 45 percent of the way informed for 3 I suppose. My friends should be able to help get me there though lol. I am excited to learn more. It’s a very underrated game I feel. Great soundtrack pretty good voice acting except in certain areas and great story. Animation can need Jesus at times, but it’s gameplay, plot, and character development that make a great game am I right?

In xenoblade 1 you kill a god, you are killing what is essentially a source of magic.
In xenoblade 2 you kill what is essentially a machine, the giant mech thing piloted by malos.
In xenoblade 3, the people from xc1 world are at war against the people of xc2, xc1 faction is very mechanical based, and xc2 faction is very ether (magic) based.
Holy shit, its like the bionis war on the mechonis all over again. Wonder who started it though.

my guess is it has something to do with the fog king cause in future connected there was a rift in xenoblade 1 universe so maybe there is a third party in xenoblade 3 pulling the strings of both the xenoblade 1 and 2 peoples
Gonna need to show this to those people who start with XC3 like: "Previously on Xenoblade Chronicles..."
That moment we found out that the 2 "separate and distinct games" were in fact the same world after all, just split in 2 along with their creator! the ending chapter of 2 had soo many conflicting emotions at once!
Someone pointed this out to me awhile ago but Zanza and Aion share a fairly similar color scheme and it makes the parallels even more satisfying. This video was beautifully crafted!
What I also like is the relation between what side the arms' colors are.
Light and Dark Colors: Swapped
"Good" and "Evil" Colors: Same side
In case you're wondering what I mean:
Good: Meyneth and Mythra
Evil: Zanza and Malos

Really convenient that after millennia, both worlds had their world-ending moments at the same time.
This was amazing. My only change would be to add in Klaus telling Rex and co to hurry, and Malos's death scene at the end, Morag's comments, etc included, but not the collapse of the World Tree. Also, I'd include a fancy background of some kind that represents both games when the screens split.

There's no way they didn't have the entire Xenoblade story planned from the beginning. The end of Xenoblade 1 is literally proof that they already knew it had merged with Xeno 2's world which directly leads into Xenoblade 3. It makes sense but it still baffles me especially considering how many years apart Xenoblade 1 and 2.
Xenoblade 1 was made to be a single game, however due to Nintendo giving them the green light they made Xenoblade 2. During this time they started planning Xenoblade 3 and after Xenoblade 2's release they remade Xenoblade 1 to fit into the canon more accurately(ie. Changing Alvis design to fit his role as Ontos)
Nah, Xenoblade 2 is a clear retcon - but it’s a really damn good one. Enhances 1 in some ways too
@@squidyouknow no takahashi had the whole visual of the mechonis sword cutting thru the tantal titan was something made even before XBC2 even existed it was made right after 1. So 2 isn't a simple retcon. The alvis line of all future's walking hand in hand implies that it already was set in motion too.

this video made me realize how much i adore xc1’s story. xc2 has a great story and is more emotional to me, it’s not bad at all. but the insane plot twists, the voice acting and the general plot is beyond perfection in xenoblade 1. paired with the insanely good visualization of the final cutscenes, the final twists and hype voice lines makes it extraordinary

I love how both games’ themes is about the change someone can do to make the world a better place, they may say it in different ways, but they both nail it so well.
I also wanna say that this year I played both 1 and 2 for the first time and loved everything about them (minus the beginning of 2).
Man there are a lot of things that I didn't liked about Xenoblade 2 and the dub is one of them, but DAMN that Malos voice actor steals the freaking show. Easly at the same level of Shulk's VA.

Nope, they're making XC3 accessible for new players as well. But, I'd still recommend the other 2 if ya can just because they're great games!

@@javargriffin1771 xenoblade 1 and 2 will likely tie into xenoblade 3 in a big way but the story should still be plenty digestible without starting from the beginning. if you don't want to rush two large JRPGs in seven months, you'll be fine but it'll be highly recommended you go back to them later to fully appreciate xenoblade 3's story and where the series is going forward as a whole

@@javargriffin1771 i absolutely think playing them is the way to go since they're incredibly fun and it gives good breathing room between all the cutscenes which really make the impact of a lot of the stories stick more. i tried watching xenoblade 1 cutscenes years ago and couldn't get that into it but now they're some of my favorite games of all time. that all being said, respect yourself and your time and if the games just don't end up being fun, don't push it. i guess at the least give them a good try and try sticking through a bit since it can take a little while for all of the combat options to open up and really exemplify why the combat is really fun

In all honesty I had watched XBC1 and thought XBC2 was basically the future of the new world because there was another character from the first game that had a similar name. But as I watched a TH-camr reach near the end and saw that scene I then realized “Oh! It’s from another world not the same one!” At the end of the two game the worlds now collide as 1 which is what XBC3 is. I am excited for whatever plot twists arrive for 3. I’ll find out someday!

After finally getting though DE "future connected", watching the xb3 trailer and now these endings, everything hits, but the xb1 ending hits so much differently than it did when I first played though it on the wii.
I'm REALLY hoping what I think the "fog king" is, it will tie into xenosaga series at least in some way.

@@lw62345 yeah, it's just watching these endings all these years later with the knowledge of the game from future connected and the new xb3 trailer, it just kinda brought it all into perspective.
All the tiny details from xenosaga and xenogear scattered throughout the rest of the series. It all kinda just dawned on me now with both of them being side by side.
Incidentally, I am VERY curious to see what I could gleam from watching the ending of xenosaga 3 and the ending of future connected, since its been a long time since I've played the xenosaga series. But, the fog king reminds me an awful lot of gnosis.
Edit: apologizes for the rambling, I always get pretty excited for anything related to the xeno series, and it's pretty fun to speculate where the story can go in the next game, and how it connects to previous ones.

@UndeadEggmiester lmao, even I could watch a clip from Xenogears or Mass Effect and say it's possesses generic writing without proper context and without having gone a long way to this denouement, missing every detail of its absorbing story and not knowing the deep weight of this moment. i think i could misjudge any writing no matter how good it is with this kind of appreciation.
