blue or silvery foliage on woody plants is usually an adaptation to dry cold conditions

Looks great - yeah, all the weeping stuff looks amazing. The Blue also, so best of both!

Absolutely! And it’s grown a decent amount already this year!

You can definitely mix and match blue hostas and hostas with yellow and chartreuse coloring or margins throughout that bed. The contrast with the blue spruce will really make your tree pop. Also, you might try phenomenal lavender as a nice companion with it's blue-ish grey leaves and stunning purple flowers.

We ended up filling up the bed later in the year, but I definitely want to use those plants in other areas! I’m definitely looking to put some autumn frost hostas around a shadier location

Hi! What a great video. I love your enthusiasm! I just got one and I love mine too! Can I keep the little green stake that's taped to it as is so it grows a little straighter, or will that hurt the tree?

Absolutely! I still have the original stake on my tree to help support it. Keep it staked until it reaches the height that you want it at, once you stop supporting the leader, it will start to grow down.

Can you please tell me how many inches it grows per year on average? I am having a hard time finding too much info on these trees. I just got one myself. If I was a tree, I’d be this one as well!! 😅 Thank you in advance. ❤

Great question! If they are happy and get full sun, they will grow 6-12” a year, and the central leader tends to grow a bit more than the lateral branches

Good question, I can’t remember exactly since we bought it last year but somewhere around $250-$270
