These are such pretty little blue spruces. I know when I see a vibrant blue color like that in someone’s landscape, it’s noticeably striking and it tends to stop me in my tracks. I really enjoyed seeing the flashback to where this area started. “Like planting in the moon!” What a long way you guys have come! 💚💚💚
I have TOTALLY opened my mind on trees and frankly ornamental grasses over the years watching them. I used to. It like the grasses at all.. I love them now! 😊
I’m new to your channel and I’m loving it!!! This is a gardeners dream channel! You are such a positive, full of life kind of girl and that’s right up my alley! I’m a 74 year old lady sitting in Kansas and I’ve been a gardener for about 35 years and I just can’t quit! Thank you for sharing your life with all of us!
You, more than anyone, have educated me in the importance of adding green, yellow, blue etc to the landscaping. Your new area shows that over and over again, which makes it extraordinarily beautiful❣️
You and Aaron are so patient with your children, showing them how to do things. All to often i see parents in my neighbourhood brushing their kids away with impatience. Their education is so precious particularly on the practicalities of life ❤. Btw is Ken still helping with the video production? You haven’t mentioned him for a while?
Your kids are going to have so much knowledge and possibly a full career education by the time they are adults(should they choose that!) Can't you just see Samantha loving the garden because he mom loved it so much....just like you and your mom!
I love the sound of small airplanes.. it reminds me of my grandma who I lost 10 years ago. She had a secret garden and we would plant bulbs and stuff together every year with my cousins. When planting we always had small planes flying overhead. Hearing that sound and being in a calm garden brings me back to the time I had with her.❤ Thank you for your videos. And just as I'm typing this a small plane just came by my house 🌲💘🛩️🌳🪻🌷🏵️🌺
I know there’s videos about planting trees, but me and I just say that U2 are the best parents ever. It’s easy to see good parents when they’re interacting with their children. Good job, Laura and Aaron.
Seeing Samantha standing on the shovel, gave me a pogo stick flashback, love how she likes to pitch in and help. The blue spruces, just gorgeous, love their color. It seems impossible that that area looks like this in just 2 yrs.
Love seeing the kiddos in the videos….Samantha was so sweet, jumping in to help with shoveling and planting. Benjamin is such a sweet soul, wanting you to know what he’s doing..true family business…you and Aaron are good and patient, teaching parents.
As a Mississippi gardener, I appreciate that you included the full zone range for the Bonnie Blue! It's so hard to find information on how far south evergreen conifers, in particular, will survive... most information that I can find only includes the lowest zone, not the highest. Much appreciated!!
Samantha and Benjamin are so cute. I am just imagining them as adults with a garden channel and/or nursery of their own. You are teaching them so much!! :)
I’m always impressed with your camera positioning. Always helps to tell a complete story. Positioning the camera, so we have a view of y’all approaching the planting area, has to really add to the time requirements.
Being a grandma, a.k.a. Nana, I’ll love seeing the children involved. I have tried desperately for 10 years and my two little grandchildren love helping it’s a great bonding and learning experience. Please keep up the good work I know y’all. Well, you’re a good Christian s😎
Good morning Laura and Aaron! Samantha does love the dirt! She was so happy! And she got to dig the holes! Also Aaron was so funny as the paparazzi 🤣🤣🤣. What a truly beautiful day! Hugs from N.C..❤️
Blessings for your new spruces! Four and a half years ago, we planted a two foot tall Colorado Blue Spruce that was on clearance at Lowe's. Today it has grown to seven feet tall, filled in nicely with beautiful layering branching, and looks gorgeous! We planted it in full sun all by it's lonesome on a gentle, downhill slope and it's loving it.
Sitka Spruce is a very beautiful tree and also the Hemlock tree, an evergreen. Gee! I’m so jazzed for you my toes curl up with happiness for you - just joy overflowing I can’t hardly take it😁
You guys are such an inspiration, I love what you have created. I am in the Far Northern tropics of Australia, so cannot grow a lot of what you show but still I learn heaps from watching your show, and enjoy it immensely 🌲🌷🌴🌳🌹🌻❤🥰
Waking up to your video from northeastern time was wonderful. Love the beautiful blue spruce trees - love them. I remember when you started your South Garden what a transformation. It is gorgeous! Love your children, they are getting so big. ♥♥♥🥀🥀🌻🌻🌲🌲
I've been watching your channel for a few years. You have taught me to watch for those "special/different" trees and shrubs. My yard has taken on new life with these interesting shapes, colors and sizes.
Love it, the flash back was great to see, the South garden is definitely coming along! My favorite part today was seeing your gardener in the making in action. How wonderful to see her interest in digging in the dirt.😊❤
What a blessing for your family to grow your garden from scratch while your family are still young so many years ahead to enjoy, most of us start at retirement, enjoy every moment, love your garden.
I love that she knows to put her foot on the shovel! Ok now I have to go back and watch the video.😊 Red, yellow, green and blue, yup makes a huge difference.
I love how patient you are with your kids and allow them to get involved! Such a wonderful lesson for them. Also, that is quite the transformation from 2 years ago. Love the spruce you added today.
I like the new graphic of hardiness, etc.! Was fun to see what the family sees when Laura is filming, I'm always curious what y'all see when talking to us like during the recap. I hope the fruit leather came out well.
Very much enjoyed seeing that spruce planting I’d a family affair, even with the baby helping. It is wonderful she can help and that you both talk so sweetly to the children - bringing them up to be kind to others.
🫣The “paparazzi of one” comment, made me laugh out loud! Love the flashback to the early stages of the garden, (WOW!!!), and tour of the evergreens. I realize I need some more color variation in my garden. Loved seeing Samantha Grace helping plant. 💕Your videos just put me in a good mood and eager to go work on my own garden. 💚🌻🌿
It’s amazing to see the transformation in just a couple of years! 😍 So, so beautiful! Thank you, Laura, for providing such a lovely respite for us each day! What a gift to be able to follow you along on your gardening journey! 💜
The family that plants together, stays together!❤❤️💗💙 I love to see kiddos involved in gardening. My husband and I worked out in our yard and loved gardening and landscaping. My son helped out a bit as he was growing up. Now, as an adult, family man, he and his wife love working in their yard and have a beautiful home. Teach them while they are young...
Can you promise you will keep making videos forever?? Or at least the next 15 years?? Because I absolutely must see how these spaces transform as the trees grow. It is so lovely right now and it will only get more beautiful!
Samantha Grace is precious helping dig, pry and lift! Those trees are gorgeous! What a transformation to the south garden! It’s amazing what time and plants can do to a space! Great job! Aaron and his paparazzi! Hilarious!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I love that Bonny Blue!! Such a cool tone of spruce and you've found perfect spots for both. Samantha Grace helping dig holes was precious...she's the girl that loves dirt and action. I love to see that!
So inspiring to see the before and after in the South Garden. We moved into a new development two years ago October and have been working on getting trees in place. Working on getting a vision of what our gardens and yard will look like. Thanks for sharing yours and Aaron's vision!!
In order to stretch time between running our drip, as Laura mentioned they were starting to do, we installed wireless moisture meters. We run our drip for a longer period of time less frequently. The moisture meters now alert us (via the app) when the moisture level dips to a preset level. We’re pushing for deep roots and wise water usage.
Good morning, Laura ☕️ Those trees 🌲 are gorgeous and exactly what those areas needed! 😍😍 Samantha Grace is so adorable 🥰 and seems to be as eager as Benjamin to help. Have a Blessed Day 😊🐈
It’s so amazing to see how far this south garden has come. It would be so lovely if you could take a video driving through on the gator showing the garden. No talking just like you were strolling through taking us with you. Just a thought❣️
Please do a video allll about your fruit leather tips and tricks!! Anything in the kitchen with your harvest is always such a motivation on how to utilize the fruits of our gardening labour 🍓
Today's video was so great! From watching Samantha help trying to dig and move the soil, to the flash back of "digging on the moon!" And seeing those really gorgeous spruce trees. Great color. Your natural enthusiasm is contagious. Things are looking wonderful in your garden.
So for the first time this spring, after many years of gardening, after watching this channel, I finally put the dirt I dig out for plant placement in a pot thus not ruining my mulch. Why haven’t I done this before?🤔🙄
It always amazes me how far the south garden has come in such a short time! More of these flash backs would be fun to see from time to time. I also really like the stats graphic that describes the Bonnie Blue spruce with the picture of a mature tree and zone map! Very nice! Can you do those more often when showing a new plant/tree, etc.? Also, I was wondering if spruces in your area get the fungal disease rhizosphaera which causes needle drop? It is prevalent here in the upper Midwest.
I am learning from you to add evergreens to the landscape. We added our first this year. We bought a green giant arborvitae, used it as our Christmas tree, then we planted it out this spring!
The video editing addition of the plant information and mature picture along with the paparazzi clip were spot on!! This channel feels like HGTV without the fake personalities and unrealistic timelines. Thank you!
It is incredible how much your South Garden has changed. It’s beautiful, so well done.
I love that you post early! It’s my time to have coffee and enjoy your garden before the noisy, busy day.
Same ☕️ ❤
Me too❤
Same..except tea..lol
Me too!
😂 we do the same

I really enjoyed seeing the flashback to where this area started. “Like planting in the moon!” What a long way you guys have come! 💚💚💚
Y’all are helping me appreciate spruces, pines, even the weirdly shaped ones in a garden setting more all the time. What a cute helper digging. ✨🌲✨
I have TOTALLY opened my mind on trees and frankly ornamental grasses over the years watching them. I used to. It like the grasses at all.. I love them now! 😊
I want one of those tall, spindly evergreens, but not sure if they'd do well in the southeast of the US. They remind me of Whoville! 😊
@@julieseidel8258 me too! I’m in Central Alabama and it’s probably too humid and too much rain.
I’m new to your channel and I’m loving it!!! This is a gardeners dream channel! You are such a positive, full of life kind of girl and that’s right up my alley! You, more than anyone, have educated me in the importance of adding green, yellow, blue etc to the landscaping. Your new area shows that over and over again, which makes it extraordinarily beautiful❣️
Loved seeing Samantha “digging to help plant the trees”!! Benjamin you are growing up so quickly!
When Benjiman put his hands on his hips and looked at you in that sideways squinty way it was 100% Aaron. Too cute!
Your kids are going to have so much knowledge and possibly a full career education by the time they are adults(should they choose that!) Can't you just see Samantha loving the garden because he mom loved it so much....just like you and your mom!

2 Years ago Laura!!!!! It is AMAZING the progress you guys have made!! Hard work by you and your team-it is truly phenomenal!!!
Your children are such a joy and your garden is looking beautiful ❤️❤️❤️
Your kids are lucky to live in the paradise that you and Aaron have created.
I know there’s videos about planting trees, but me and I just say that U2 are the best parents ever. It’s easy to see good parents when they’re interacting with their children. Good job, Laura and Aaron.
I love how you aren't afraid to move plants around and your upbeat attitude!
Just love seeing you with your children...loving, caring, patient....allowing them to explore and participate...great parenting!
Seeing Samantha standing on the shovel, gave me a pogo stick flashback, love how she likes to pitch in and help. The blue spruces, just gorgeous, love their color. It seems impossible that that area looks like this in just 2 yrs.

Laura uses Espoma like there's no tomorrow! The landscape is really coming together. Amazing.

Paparazzi! 😂 You guys are so sweet and your love shows even through video!! What amazing role models for Benjamin and Samantha
Your paparazzi was a great addition today! The vision you had for those trees is an amazing addition.
Being a grandma, a.k.a. Nana, I’ll love seeing the children involved. I have tried desperately for 10 years and my two little grandchildren love helping it’s a great bonding and learning experience. Please keep up the good work I know y’all. Well, you’re a good Christian s😎
"The one paparazzi "😂😂😂😂 what a nice day in the garden. Samantha Grace is such a good helper 👍😊😊
Good morning Laura and Aaron! Samantha does love the dirt! She was so happy! And she got to dig the holes! Also Aaron was so funny as the paparazzi 🤣🤣🤣. What a truly beautiful day! Hugs from N.C..❤️

The editing on these last few videos has been SO GREAT! I just love the sounds and the peaceful nature of them.
Always appreciate editing and music or birdsong!
I love that she knows to put her foot on the shovel! Ok now I have to go back and watch the video.😊 Red, yellow, green and blue, yup makes a huge difference.
All spruced up and ready to dance. Amazing varieties and colors. Very versatile species!
That Bonnie Blue Colorado Spruce is absolutely spectacular!!!
Seeing Aaron and Samantha out in the garden with you is so heartwarming!

Benjamin was so adorable. I rewatched him telling you his plant stand was dry 4 times. Soooooooo cute.
❤

Would love to see a tour of your most favourite plants or places in the garden. Then an explanation as to why.
That Bonnie Blue looks like a delicate blue snowflake. And kudos to Aaron - his grass is looking a-ma-zing!!!
You are such a happy, amazing woman……Thank you for your generosity of spirit…..Your first, middle and last names are LIGHT, LIGHT, LIGHT!!!!!!!!
I could watch your videos all day long. I love everything you do. I would love to just walk around your yard. Absolutely beautiful.
Thank you Laura, Aaron, Benjamin and Samantha Grace for being such a blessing to me. I always look forward to watching your videos.
Just bought a blue spruce bacheri myself today 😂 the blue color they can bring is unmatched in the garden and really ties a space together.
It's so wonderful that her parents were taking their time to teach Samantha how to dig.
That is a beautiful spruce; I love the color and it will be an amazing addition to that lovely garden. Thanks for the inspiration
It’s amazing to see the transformation in just a couple of years! 😍 So, so beautiful! Thank you, Laura, for providing such a lovely respite for us each day! What a gift to be able to follow you along on your gardening journey! 💜

Love the new trees they just added so much color and structure to that area. It’s so amazing to see how great the south gardens has developing.
As an artist , I just love the echo of the color of the blue

Your property could be an attraction from an aerial view ☺️
That color is amazing. ! Such a bright grey blue. Almost aqua...
It’s AMAZING how much it has changed in such a short amount of time. You guys are doing an excellent job! 👏🏽🙌🏽👍🏽🌺
The colour of this spruce & texture of the needles is striking! I hope you place more of this exact spruce in your garden, it's magnetic!! 💙💙💙
Beautiful spruce trees! Thanks for sharing!
The before and after of the south garden is so dramatic! Can’t wait to see it all filled in.

We have a Colorado spruce, a Black Hills spruce, and a Baby Blue Eyes. But oh my goodness, I sure hope we can find that Bonny Blue! 😍
They add a wonderful bright spot. How majestic when they all grow tall. So amazing after the desert look before.
We love blue spruce! We had two at our last house, and loved the unique color and texture that they brought to the front yard! 🙂
