The saddest part about the whole game was how all of the characters in it wasted their lives chasing the dreams of a false prophet who had no real intentions of bringing those dreams to fruition. Dutch, like Colonel Favors, was to put it in the words of Captain Monroe: "An insecure man trying to hold onto a past thats already gone." Actually, Colonel Favors was really just military government version of Dutch - who put on a facade of honor - but who really just wanted to protect and increase his interests no matter the cost. That should be a CLEAR warning for all of us here in the real world, is to judge people by their actions and not their words. Wrods are much easier to fake than actions, as John found out at the end where he screamed: "YOU LEFT ME!"
I mean...it sets you up for a fail from the very opening screen: "By 1899, the age of outlaws and gunslingers was at an end..." You're fucked from the start.
@markrennie86 - The lesson to be learned is if start down a bad path, you will experience the pitfalls as a result, so it's best not to go down such a path to begin with.
You guys talk like dutch was useless but he wasn't. He used their power and knowledge and combined and unite together to form a great group. Only after hosea's death he screwed up.
for anyone who wants to hear these, be anywhere in the epilogue and go to the camps. some have enemies so you need to clear the ENTIRE camp (beaver hollow includes all the murfees in the cave too). after, ride away from the camp for a minute or two and then ride back so that the bodies and anything the gangs had set up, disappears. when the camps are clear you can hear them. if you don’t hear anything, ride away and try again. no need to sleep or set up a campfire, just leave the area :)
The amount of things to do in this game are endless. The detail into every aspect is sheer perfection. Never thought I'd tear up while playing a video game...

I wish I got nostalgic disembodied voices when I returned to Beaver Hollow, instead I just got ambushed by the Murfree Brood, several extra generations more inbred.

There's multiple memories for each camp too. I've heard 2 for clemens point so far.... the one where they're all singing almost made me cry. If you're having trouble hearing them at shady bell or beaver hollow just kill all the enemies then leave the area then come back. If you go far enough away and come back quick enough the enemies bodies and all their camp equipment will be gone.

I also visited the old camp in RDR2. Rockstar even wanted you to go back in the snow cause somewhere near at lake Isabella is a legendary fish and the legendary Bison. So there are also 2 important reasons to go there.
Horseshoe Overlook is the only camp that didn’t have anything terribly bad happen in it. Colter, had everyone cold and stressed, along side a very injured John Marston. Clemens Point, Jack gets kidnapped and Arthur gets tortured by Colm and shows up to the camp badly injured. Shady Belle, Kieran was beheaded and a shootout started with O’Dricolls. Lakay, Pinkertons shoot up the place. Beaver Hollow was the worst of all camps, everything fell apart there

Also if you return to beaver Hollow after the story the murfree gang has reoccupied it and they come out and attack you.
