I have been running the mitas e07+ on my r1250gsa. Probably the best 50/50 tire I tried. They are a little noisy on the highway but perform very well on pavement and dirt.
I had a Heidenau K60 on my 1200 BMW GS which has similar centre band of solid rubber. It returned much better mileage as a result, but was not so sharp in the loose gravel/sand/mud, but then nothing is perfect. If you learn any tyre, you can ride them all in all conditions.😁
I think you will be happier with the tire once you turn it around. I have a buddy with them in the mostly off road direction and he tears it up in the dirt and sand.
@@dangerdave8080 sweet. Actually looking forward to your review of the gps tyres including front on both on & off road especially in wet conditions on road. Now your running the rear in off road direction we’ll be really good to hear your thoughts. Haven’t heard / seen many folks running the gps in off road direction. Well you would be the second person actually. Cheers. Safe travels and thanks for taking the time to do your vids.
I just purchased these for my bike, mounted them in the mostly off road direction and have been trying them out for a couple weeks. So far I really like them.
You should really have your Garmin inReach on your person, not the bike. Just friendly advice 😉 Just incase you come off the bike, break your neck or back and can't crawl back to the bike. That aside... great tires that last forever! I tend use those and Mitas E07+
Great! The GPS will always be on the mostly off road on my bike ... there seems to be a difference in dirt ... better grip ... similar on the tarmac. Just my opinion.
@@dangerdave8080 I'd love to see an update or follow up about that. I'm going to be getting these as my first 50/50 tire for my little ADV bike with a similar use case. I'm wondering if I should just save myself the hassle and just have the shop mount them flipped into the mostly off-road direction to start. I'm a new rider anyway, so I'm hoping to get all the help I can get, but I don't want to do myself a disservice for the 90% of pavement I ride for now.

Thanks for watching!
Yes , me too . K60 , same thoughts .
I ran the GPS on my F850. Long wearing loved the grip in all
Conditions except wet slushy mud. 8500km and probably only used 25%.
"Wet slushy mud..." that's a tough condition to ride in! Thanks for watching!

I will change it this weekend ...THANKS!
Cheers. Did u end up rotating the gps tyre? If so. How does it go including on wet roads please?
@holden3083 perfect timing ... rotacting in the morning .... will report!

Thanks for the video. What state and what area of the state are you riding in
Kern County California
(Sorry for not responding sooner.)
You should always keep your phone in your pocket too just in case👍🏼
If you have a good front tyre and have confidence in it ,rear tyre doesn't really matter, all clutch and throttle control.
How did you like the gps in the offroad direction?
