Cambodian people are very friendly. They treat foreigners the same way they treat their own natives. They have high respect for foreigners. That's hard to find.
Who told you that? They treat their own much worse than they do foreigners. This is often the way most Asian people do, unfortunately.

I'm Cambodian and was born in America but I do love to live in Cambodia. What stopping me is the health care system.
There is no health care system in the West / USA. It is sick care. They keep you sick to keep coming back to get chemical medication, doctor fees, hospital charges, and expensive so-called health insurance, while welfare bums and illegal immigrant aliens pay zero. No thanks, I am done.
I’ve been to Cambodia many times. In fact, I just visited last year. People are friendly, great food. The Landscapes are beautiful and greenery. So many things to see. Plan to go back next year.

Modern Cambodia offer and welcome Qualities life style to the world from every walk of life there’s are so much options of lifestyle to live for , English greatly spoken and also French to welcome everyone and anywhere from the world. So many beautiful natural resources beautiful beaches . Cambodia it’s a tropical country green organic lifestyle people are very kind and down to heart. My daughter in law she a USC pediatrician Nurse , and she is recently visit Cambodia she was so impressed how much the foods and attractions sites and housing are very affordable healthcare access qualities professional with exchange international healthcare specialists around the globe. I can name off . Crime is low and peaceful retreat , will be having a young retirement soon within 3 years ….

I was in Cambodia last year and saw a White guy pushing a cart selling some street food (pancakes I think?) at the Riverside in Phnom Penh... I thought it was odd because it's a no-no in Thailand.

I live in PP. it’s nice but not as cheap if you want a Western lifestyle. You can go to the hospital here but if I needed surgery I would go to Thailand or Malaysia. People are friendly and it’s an easy way of living here. The heat is a major issue tho!

The crime is much much much lower in Cambodia than in America, per capita that is. Oh and the tax is much much much lower as well. It is the icing on the cake.
