Had my velvetiser a couple of months now, best hot chocolate I’ve ever had although I was a bit miffed to not have had a selection pack sent with it as I was led to believe that a free one was sent with it
If you pour boiling water in the mugs before using then they keep the drinks warmer for longer, so the first one will definitely be hot whilst the other one is getting made 👌
Looks like you end up using a lot of water, to preheat the cup (why not design the machine to make the drink warmer?), and cold water to reset the thermostat between drinks. Bit weird?
Preheating cups before coffee, espresso, or hot chocolate prolongs how long your drink stays warm by heating the cup so heat is not exchanged away from the drink itself. It wont actually raise the temperature of your drink
Sorry but how on earth do you produce cold drinks. This only heats and froths the milk. You cannot turn off the heating element. Are you suggesting putting the heated milk in a fridge. Seems tedious when you can easily blend or whisk chilled milk
Actually there's cold recipes on the hotel Chocolat website. It says to use minimal milk, just enough to cover the whisk then let it do its thing. Add the small amount of warmed hot chocolate to a tall glass of cold milk, with ice. They call it their version of a milkshake. There's also recipes for the cold lattes too.

Surprised the official channel put out a 240p video with such low production value. Doesn’t fit the luxury brand at all. Also what’s that random background music lol
Its magnetic... It should always be placed in first, so that it connects to the bottom plate of the unit. It is so quiet you hardly can tell when its on
@@louisee7339 actually i tried the trick with putting really hot water in the mug before i make the hot chocolate and it works great the mug gets heated and stays hot longer.
My velvetiser stopped working after 4 weeks of use, and the customer service team have been worse than awful. Avoid this expensive piece of junk at all costs!
I had a completely opposite experience, after 8 months of pure bliss my velvetiser stopped working. I got all the info and help I needed to make it run again, it has been an other year and no problems at all.
@@_green_needle if you bought a kettle and it broke after 8 months, then surely you won't say that was acceptable. Would you be expected to buy a new kettle every 8 months. I do my washing up wearing a suit too..
Haha check my comment. Typed mine, sent it, then saw yours. The blue suit is ESSENTIAL!! 🤣🤣🤣
That's not a suit, that's a jumper/sweater, which is normal to be worn indoor in cold temperature
Won’t the drinks be cold after all that?
It heats it automatically.

Not a fault finding video why does the light flash and nothing happen?

What would it be like if you tried with hot water and one of the cappuccino packets.?
I love mine use it every day love making cold chocolate drinks also with lots of ice

I'm from indonesia...how i buy this one ? 😢
Visit the UK? 🤔
I didn’t see the whisk being used - is it automatic?
The whisk is the first thing he put in, before he measures out the milk.

Cold cups of chocolate ?
Is this an actual Hotel Chocolat video??? what is it filmed on??? Terrible, I would have done it for a trolly dash!
Why don’t change the heating element to heat to 97* instead of 67 this way your drink don’t get cold after doing all that washing!!
Would change the flavor of the milk getting it that hot and would make it taste bad. Just drink it before you do the washing 👌
