- In many ways, the 5 Series is BMW. It embodies the classic BMW traits of classiness, sportiness, comfort and luxury. And in a segment in which competition is fiercer than ever, for this, the 7th generation 5 Series, BMW knew they had to produce something special.
And they've even given it a name. BMW calls this the "Business Athlete".
In this video, we try to find out what that actually means. We explore the Cape Winelands in the new 540i and discover whether this new 5 Series offers everything you might expect from the century-old Bavarian brand.

I'm genuinely surprised as to why Motor Trend gets more views than this channel
Rohan Iyer 2 reasons:
- They push the car to its limit (secluded circuits, 0-60, roud figure 8 performance etc)
- They also point out the flaws of the car ( eg: I noticed that the remote key is laggy, how good or bad the fake engine noise is, how gimmicky that hand movement is when u can press the button on the steering, and how certain features should be sold standard at that price range)
-I like this channel but they ain't on Motor Trend level

I like the review. I like your face when you do that hand gesture. Clothing will also make it unforgettable. However you didn't seat at the back for leg room and head room or show us the boot and the engine, even though you had about 9 minutes. I feel you could have covered a lot more with that time. A good video though.

Mothusi Maake me too, the E63s comes out pretty fast and amazing but the 5 series come out pretty strong as well and m5 is coming on his way.

I think this is my favorite BMW 5. With the inline turbo 6 gasoline, white exterior, black or brown interior, M Sport package and black gloss shadow line.

I'm just glad the future of fashion never came up Ciro😅😅,I watched it when first was played ,I'm watching it again because I want to get this 2017 540i used for 500k rands,around 90k mileage,I'm not afraid the b58 is so good I don't think it will ever break😅😅😅😅
@ciro - Please confirm - this car definitely had IAS rear wheel steering and the standard M Sport Suspension? So not Adaptive Damping (which you can get with IAS) and not Adaptive Drive (which you cannot)?

I think I would be nice if you did more in depth reviews so that we can see what features the South African cars come with. I have seen the features from the European reviews, but I know that some of the features never make it to SA. So it would be nice to see which features did make it. It would have been nice if you had shown the self driving abilities and all the other cool stuff.

Lovely review. Not so much a BMW fan but Ciro always makes the video interesting. Anyway, the exterior looks very boring in my opinion, but the interior looks very welcoming. One thing I hate about BMW is how low the rear seats are, I'm not sure if it's the same with this model?
amazing review! love the car in every aspect! the only downside side compared to the f10 the G30 has a smaller interior which almost feels a 3 series... Just my opinion. Great car all-round
Ariel Dinanga g30 has a smaller interior ? You know the g30 is bigger than the f10 (therefore with more space).

This car looks lit, And looking at the price, It's close to the Ford Raptor 2017 model, and damn, I prefer the Ford Raptor 2017.

Alright Ciro blessyo! I have recently found your movies and iam watching them full now. Great! You know I went in the 530i niceone! Smoth and quite as a luxury lineup ship but small like a car you cannote ask for mo. This one is nice they told me to drive it so i drove it but look a m5 is still faster what must i say? The bmw man told look its not fast like a m5 but its nicer i said what are you telling? Comeone now you can't be series! But still ithing the 5 serious is seriesly nice car would you take one or the mercedes benz c clasS? I say no contest i will take the bmw. If we watch a movie from america with a bmw in it like mission is possible when they move the m5 or the m3 i say this is the best film i have ever seen we watch it at home on the phone becuase remember we dont have dstv becuse i didnote win the last 2 tenders and so i spend the money on De Toren Black Lion and a 2014 The Cab Franc. Now we are dringing water but my friend said i will get another tender now for covid. Thanks Ciro remain as cool as you are.

I’ve owned all three brands and it’s the best service by far

Not a fan of the cabin in the 5 Series, the E class is better. However the outside of the E class is somewhat ... well no other way to put it UGLY with those stupid day running lamps. As much as I hate BMW, I have to confess that the 5 Series looks better outside.
Depending on the new A6, I won't easily consider this segment!!!
