Hi guys, there is an error in the leaderboard for an earlier car, the Infiniti Q60. The time for that car should be 1:05.74 (not 1:07.74), so the BMW 540i xDrive (with Paul at the wheel) is in third place. We will correct that in the next video, and we deeply apologize for the error. Thanks for your support!

Just tested my 2022 540xi at sea level using dragy and got 4.52 without rollout and 4.32 with 1ft rollout. Not bad, going to try again with the DSC off next time.
Great review. Happy for the series always like to see paul give it the beans and hear his professional perspective about the cars dynamics and performance . Any other tracks you guys can use this one seems so short ?

@@seanmorgan757 The 4 and 6 cyl cars are single turbo. Only the V8s and V12 are twin turbo. They all use twin scroll turbos, but that is not the same as twin turbo. It's worth a google if you're interested in the technicals.
@@seanmorgan757 not true, they say twin power turbo and so many people think it means two turbochargers. It can mean a single turbo with twin scrolls or 2 turbos that are either mono or twin scroll.

Love this video, but minor recommendation, don't zoom in so far. You end up having to pan more quickly and it is a little jarring. Could fit more in the frame too.

I really do like this car, but like others have said.. That price!! Honestly, give me a Kia Stinger GT2 AWD and $20,000+ in change. I'll also get a better, longer warranty that I won't need to use as much.

Xdrive isn’t standard on the 540i. It’s a little more then 2,000$ extra.

M550i or M3 Comp. Sure they're two different cars but for the price and HP, it's kind of a hard decision. I never go to the track, however the M3 is just really nice and a "real M car". It's one of those or a hellcat 😂

@TFL I noticed you still didn’t correct the time on the Infiniti. On that video the same drive did a 1:05:74 not a 1:07:74. I didn’t notice a response on why you added 2 seconds to the final time of the Q but not the BMW.
The careless Q60 mistake is still there. The time was clearly 1:05.74.
The 540e is the car they should have reviewed. Thanks to BMW inept marketing, it is not offered in the USA. Same for the Alpina B5.

Hi there fellas! Drop that "music" at the end, let the driver (Stig Paul) talk until the end once he's finished testing it, without leaving him to dust while talking to you (sorry, but it seemed disrespectful-ish), and I'd show the lap without him talking, too (like Top gear used to). Pure driving and timing. You can coment the lap. Also a hovering map showing the circuit and the position of the car, 'though difficult, would be amazing.

73k for 6 cylinders. Plus the depreciation with BMW it will be worth 45k in 2 years. Let's not even get into the maintenance of these cars. Idk.. plenty of better options out there for the price point.
I think the 5 series is the best midsized luxury sedan. All cars in this segment are that price for 6 cylinders

Too bad the 540i gets the lower output version of the B58. With the upgraded motor it would be more appealing, but still overpriced.
yeah i have a 540i and i love it but i wish it preformed like a m340 so much, car is just a bit too heavy and needs the 382 hp instead of 335hp

You should've gotten the m5 and give him the 540 to even things up a bit. Stigs are dangerous and can't be given equal footing. Were you gonna do an everyman lap in every car to see which ones are easy for normal folks to drive quickly?

@@anthonyc1883 Good question. The current 5 series is a big heavy vehicle. Might as well go all the way to an SUV and have something with resale value and extended purpose. but your right, 78k buys a ton of vehicles that coudl be closer competitors. For my money i would want more space, reliability, towing, ect. A 6.2 denali or the 6.4 durango would hold up a lot better than a Lease MW.

Based on the Stig's experience here, I'm going to go ahead and say this car is not worth $77,395.00. Maybe $45k-50k fully loaded.
Tommy was very impressed, Paul was....meh.
