Yes, exactly. This is the VERY best version of that song because of the 2 voices singing "à la tierce", and DALTREY's voice is outstanding particularly when in the high-pitched. This version is excellent, very enjoyable !

John Entwistle Man that man turned the Bass from an instrument almost nobody in rock cared about in his time But then John came and turned the Bass from an instrument almost nobody cared about in rock to inspiring many people in rock to actually go and Play Bass and all that thanks to John Entwistle"s Spectacular Bass playing May God bless you John and I hope you have a great time in Bass Heaven or who knows maybe God decided to Reincarnate you as another Kick ass Bassist Guitarist whether even if your male again or who knows maybe even a female but anyway God bless Entwistle for what he did to The Bass and may his soul rest in piece in Bass Heaven.

The second half is just pure latter-day Townshend; an eloquent, reflective, and heartfelt commentary on his own song but from the perspective of the other end of a long and distinguished career. I do wish John had been able to chime in with his thoughts, especially since he didn't have much longer to live here, but he would probably have used the opportunity for a bit of his trademark morbid humor.

Beyond the simple positve votes for The Who, as someone who was 20 when they actually wrote this stuff, I have to remark on Roger's perfect, absolutely perfect, management of this song live. He does not stretch to notes he can no longer reach and he plays nicely, but not stupidly, to the audience. What a beautiful practitioner of his art. I look at Roger and think "wow, what a superb example of grace with the wisdon of age". Only Robert Plant can equal this level of eloquence. Hats off.

Its great to see the Ox with the band. If I had to list the three most memorable bass players I've seen live in concert I'd say.....

I wish I was playing drums for this moment in time. I wouldn't need half the drums.

Yeah, interesting about Roger playing a guitar again. It took me a long time to get used to also seeing Jon Anderson with a guitar.
