I mean, they were so so so great that it pains me that these days are gone. There will never be another band that is this powerful on stage ever again.

If I could go back in time (1Time) - See an early Who show, & then Party with Keith after - that's what I would do - without a Doubt. Not The Stones or The Beatles or The Kinks. I am too Young to have seen the Loon, But I was lucky to see Entwistel with Rodger & Pete preform QUADROPHENIA - & I'll NEVER forget THAT show. STILL - It would have been SO MUCH BETTER if Keith had Been there TOO (of Course)!! Favorite Band - & Favorite Drummer - Bassist - Singer, & Power Chord playing Songwriter.

I became a huge Who fan when I was 10 years old. I bought all their albums and knew all their songs by heart. I was lucky enough to see them live in 1989 when I was 18 and I remember walking out of the stadium thinking to myself…. I get it now. I understand why they’re the greatest band ever. Those songs were written to be played in front of an audience. It was the most incredible concert I’ve ever seen to this day. Baba O’Riley live? 72,000 people singing along with Pete during that break. Forget about it….. you can’t get any better than that.

The who were a perfect storm. A crazy drummer who became "the best Keith Moon style" drummer ever. A guy who re-invented how the play the bass guitar. A visionary lyricist who was an amazing showman, and a damn fine guitarist. One of the most recognizable voices in Rock history. Oh my goodness.

Great video and song thank you. I isolated John's bass parts and I was astonished at just what he's playing. Bass but with what sounds like rhythm and lead guitar parts. Incredible to say the least. John carries the entire band including keeping time. New found respect. Moon is all over the place, Pete is a powerhouse and Roger is doing his best. John even singing the falsetto chorus highs.

Apart from the primal live power of the Who they had assets that are often overlooked: unusual but fantatic harmonies in the 60's by Pete, John (&Keith) and an irreverent sense of comedy and the absurd in their live banter and playing around that made it such hilarious fun to catch the Who live❤🎉
