Thank you Jim I am a wood pattern maker and retired over 9 years ago. I appreciate you comment. I have built a lot of furniture and cabinets but not as a living. Take care, Gary
Hi there, I like how u explain what and why you do things. It helps a lot. You have a nice assortment of homemade tools and fixtures. Please keep up with the videos, I enjoy them and learn new and different techniques.
Thank you Ron I appreciate the comment. So when I get an idea I put it down as a possible thing to do. Then I start drawing it up. At point it seems to be stuck in my head up to the point I go ahead and give it a try. Happy I was able to get this done. Thanks for watching, Gary
Thanks so much Luie It is always exciting to see the shapes that develop after it is turned. I really. Happy you liked it and thanks for watching. Take care, Gary
Thank you Garth and I could not agree more. Tomorrow I will be grabbing a log and turn it as long as it takes to see what is inside. I do miss that by the time I finish one of these projects. But I also love making things like this as well. Thanks for watching, Gary
Thank You Gary...WELL I AM AWAKE NOW!!!! Wow-Wee, Zow-Wee, spinning kaleidoscope plus morning coffee certainly got me to sit up straight and pay attention, HA. Your explanation cleared the confusion as to how you created such a confusing, invented woodturning. Lots of unexpected Friday FUN Gary.....TM
Thank you Tuffy and of all of that I have done this one did my head spinning when watching it turn. It was either that or the 3 cups of coffee. Take care, Gary
I started watching this video and fell a sleep, waking up around 18:00 minutes. What I saw intrigued so much I had to start from the beginning. It was not only very educational but also enjoyable to see how you made this bowl. Great job.
Thank you Dave and it will be in 2 weeks. I am going to mix it up with a request from a viewer. Which I have not started because I have been building a Catio. Take care, Gary
Thank you Rickey and yes there is lots of steps to get here but I enjoy that as well. But I have decided that next week it will be as few of steps as I can make it. Take care, Gary
Thank you so much Gary for using our products over the laquer spray, we get questions every day on what to use our pastes with so showing this one way really helps us out!! Now when someone asks I can refer them to this video.
Thank you Tom and I find it the easiest way to get a nice shine and very smooth finish. I am not fond of the buffing wheel system and I feel this is much easier. A lot of finishes have been ruined using a buffing wheel as well. Take care, Gary
You are a bloody genius, Gary. That is brilliant, my friend. Your ingenuity never ceases to amaze me. Looking forward to seeing your next video, buddy! 😎😎👍👍 Happy turning, …..Gord
Ahh gosh Gord I am lost for words..hardly LOL I value your comments and really appreciate them. You are your videos have been a real inspiration to me in making my videos. My next one is going to be rather simple but making the video for a mutual friend and you will understand when I get it posted. Thanks again my friend for your very kind words. Now to try to get the hat off my swollen head LOL Gary
wow! awsome video!!!!!!! It would be a treat to spend a weekend with you in person from the basics to the marvels you create. If you ever wanted to share your skill with an apprentice, I would travel to you. Thank you so much for sharing my friend.
This is a true masterpiece; it’s absolutely stunning. The finish truly brings out the colors in the different woods you used. This is one of my favorites! Great job! Bravo!
U just keep raising the bar Gary! One fantastic piece. I just Sit back and watched in amazement! I’ll have to go back and watch this one again and again. Thanks for dizzing up my day!
Thank you Patricia, make sure you watch this coming Friday's video as I think you just may have another favorite. I am very happy with how it turned out. Thanks so much for your kind words. Gary
Възхищавам се на предметите, които извайвате с талантливите си ръце, както и на способите, които прилагате. Имате страхотни идеи превърнати в истински произведения на изкуството. Адмирации !!!
Thank you Judith it is a good way to make a bowl out of less material. The shape is somewhat limited but it does make a nice effect. Thanks for watching, Gary
Gray what a beautiful piece. I think I enjoy the process of you making and explaining what you are doing as much as the finished project. I could listen to you and Phil and Kimsey all day talking about turning.
Thank you Dean and I do like talking about wood turning and sharing what I can. I also enjoy watching and listening to Phil and Kimsey. Hard to get much better. Take care, Garyu
Ingenuity and precision have a name, GARY 👍🏻 How smart is that, and looks terrific! I am impressed by the good use you make of the wood, no heaps of sawdust and quite a big bowl all the same… and it also dawned on me why a harmonica is called a harmonica… I know, took me a while 🙄 Really fun project, Gary, and the wavy theme of the bowl sort of matches the weather here in Europe quite well… Looking forward to the next video, take care, Gary!
Thank you very much for your very kind words. Yes but a harmonica can have a pleasant sound to most. But hearing the wood sing sounds good as well. As long as it cuts smooth. Here in Oregon we live close enough to the ocean to watch the waves come in and turn to ripples as it reaches the sand. Happy you enjoyed it! Take care, Gary

Hi Gary, another very fine piece. You are truly an inspiration to us all. Well, me at least. I'm sure there are others. I am definitely looking forward to your next video on how to make the wavy pieces without a CNC mill. I would love to have one, but that's a long way off. Take care. See you soon.
