Iron Cross Craps Strategy from the Don’t Pass Line

- In this video I take another look at the Iron Cross strategy. This time from the don't pass line. I use a $500 bankroll instead of the normal $300 bankroll due to the amount of money that must be put into play in order to make it work.
How to play:
1) $100 Don't pass
2) Once the point is set; bet 30 on the 6&8, $25 on the 5 and $15 in the field
3) Any field win pays $15 (Double the 2 & 12). A hit on a 5, 6, or 8 will pay $20
4) When shooter 7s out, break even and repeat the process
Weaknesses:
Come out 7 and 11
Point being hit prior to 7 out

Since you left. The number of your don't up you should pay when ypu hit it and loss the don't but still get paid on the place bet

"Our goal here with a $500 bankroll is $100 profit" 7:53 So, all week, you think about and choose the strategy you want to play. The day finally arrives where you can go play - you get your money, drive to the casino, park, walk in, find the craps table, buy in $500, finally start to play. Hit the first roll craps 2. You have won your $100 after 30 seconds. You color up your $600 chips, head to the cage, walk back out to the car, drive home.
Yeah, that ain't happening.
I have a casino near me so it is not difficult for me to do. If you have to make a trip to get to a casino I agree. Set a goal that works for you. The key is to have a goal. Sometimes it could even be a loss limit instead of a win goal.

I like this and play this way. I do prefer when the point is 5,6 or 8 to not place that number, giving the 7 more value especially on an early 7 or PSO. After racking a hit or two and when in profit I'll start half pressing, making sure that my place bets are 2x or 3x my field. Like Jacob says just doing "same bet" all the time, the math and casino advantage will eat away bankroll. But that is more advanced and I like the way you are showing videos to the novice players. Great job!
Thanks Mark. Same bet can drain you over time. My channel is designed for novice players. There are some videos that go over some more “advanced” strategies but I like to try to keep it simple.

Any strategy for craps is fun! It’s the best game in the casino!
I'm loving this strategy. I always put $1 x 5 in the Horn. It can be a money leak. Or, It can be a life jacket when a shoot is going long full of the horn numbers. I think an important aspect of any strategy is discussed at the beginning of this video. That is the portion & ratio of the bets. This determines if, or how quickly you can reach the walkaway point. Certain bet ratios can have your gains so small that you're playing forever until IT'$ All Gone. I'm only a few months in to playing craps. So if I sound silly, just laugh me off.
No reason to laugh at you. Nothing wrong with what you said. All these strategies can and will fail, but better to go in with some sort of plan.
You messed up by not collecting on the placed 8 bet the first time you hit an, so actually made $85.

First shooter, at the 7:00 minute mark. You did NOT pay yourself the $35 for winning on the 8. So you cheated yourself out of $35.

It is a decent strategy. It is not my go to but I have used it.
I know its a crap shoot but you could take all your bets down or off after a couple hits or whatever your feeling.
Very true. There is a big push in the craps community now for a “3 hits and down” strategy.
Newbie question…when you hit point 8 at 7:22, you lose the field and don’t pass bets but don’t you win your place bet on 8? Didn’t see you get any winning for that

Not counting the missed payout of the 8 early, you miss counted your winnings. You counted out $675 and said $550. None the less, not a bad strat.

Interesting thought. At that point you are just playing all the box numbers though. Not really the Iron Cross. Decent strategy, just different.
also all field hits press the 5 6 8 .. then when the 5 6 8 hit you get that payoff back at a higher rate.
That is a very interesting option. I will have to try that. Even a partial press will start adding up.
I'm not new at craps but I have no idea what a good winning strategy is, can you roll out your favorite winning strategy
I just recently posted a video with a hybrid strategy about playing both sides of the game. It uses an pass line and don’t pass line bet, followed by a come and don’t come bet. Odds are laid on the dark side bets. It is currently one of my favorite strategies. No strategy will win every time. Some strategies are limited by bankroll, others by trend if the dice. I hope my videos will help to decide a style of play you like.
I press 1 unit each hit... after $50 pay out I press 2 units... only way this hurts is when they make the point 3 or 4 times in a row.
Great idea. Excellent money management. Knowing what you have on profit let’s you play more aggressively without damaging your bankroll.

IMO, forget the 5 and the DP. Just go 6 and 8 and field. 5 only costs $15 and doesn't show as much as the 6 and 8..especially if you are a DI.
If you are a DI, then use whatever strategy you can get the dice to do. Waylon’s Way shows a lot of 4/10 strategies, but he can roll those numbers frequently.
If you're a DI,you should be able to hit any and all the #'s within a short period of time so I wouldn't forget the 5 or any # I could roll.I'd use the DP also.But if I'm going to play anything similar to the iron cross, I'm probably gonna just play the 6 & 8 with the field,hop the 5 & 9's and play Waylon'S 4/10 ladder from the Don't Pass 😅 3 games within one!
This might keep you in the game . But I don’t think you’ll make money.. If you catch a long roll 2 -3 points made your gonna get beat up. Depends on the dice. Maybe stay in long enough and switch to the pass but that’s dangerous . Gotta stick to the strategy that you like that makes money when the tables hot. Luke warm you don’t win . Guess it depends on what you want

Kinda defeats the purpose of hedging the $100 on the 5,6,8 & field with the DP though right? If the 7 comes out, then you would lose $70 more than you wanted to from upping the 8 to $100 🤷🏻♂️. Hope that makes sense.
The key is that you are trying to win on the DP though.
