Have you ever been to the Clinch River Antiques Festival? It is held twice a year in Clinton Tennessee. A large part of the downtown area is devoted to antique stores that are open year round. During the festival, antique dealers for around the country set up booths and sell their wares. There is a spring festival and a fall festival The spring festival starts on the first Saturday in May and the fall festival statrs on the first Saturday in October. The festival is divided equally between antiques dealers and artisans. There are over 100 antiques dealers who set up at the festival. You really should think about coming to visit our area.
I realized while watching this video that I’ve had a Bitossi cat for a few years and didn’t even know it 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ I paid $5 at the Goodwill near my home. I buy what catches my eye, for myself. I don’t resell. My cat is different than Laura’s, more the style of the dog she found ♥️👏😁
The wood and metal candelabra was sold by Home Interiors in the 1980's at home parties. I was a consultant for awhile. It could be stagged with various glass votive cups. They carried 10-12 different types of votive cups. They also carried silk (fake) flower candle rings and swags (candle ring with 2 points ). I would hang a swag on each side on the metal hooks for a dramatic look. At Christmas I would display it with a white swag that had red accents. Then I would add red tapers or tall clear 8 inch votive cups, add water and red floating candles. They also carried matching wall sconces. They were fun to decorate with. Nice basic pieces.
It is so awesome to see my hometown threw someone else's eyes! I am glad you guys had such a great time! Printers Alley is very old and has a long history! I have a framed love letter from my Gramps to my Grandmother on their anniversary from early 1970 from Printer's Alley stationery! My Gramps worked for the the Nashville Banner Newspaper where the Printers Alley worked from! He wrote to her how many seconds, minutes, hours, days, months and years they have been together. How much he loved her and more! I cherish this letter so much! Loved this video! ☺❤
At 6:28 …the Gunne sax dress with the brown velvet front….I had that dress…I wore that dress in the seventies. Oh what memories. I had a few Gunne sax dresses. Sure wish I had kept them.
My Mom sold Gunne Sax clothing in 70's the owner designer sold us her clothing at market in Dallas. Jessica McClintock and her son Scott. She was absolutely gorgeous and nice. Her fragrance is still a best seller.
I never feel guilty for getting a good deal. I've given enough killer deals myself, so I don't mind good karma. That hook on the bassinet is to hang mosquito netting.
Many banana pudding makers here in the south use vanilla wafers as a crust then fill with warm pudding and top with meringue and bake to brown the meringue thus making the vanilla wafers fall apart
I just love how you have a bucket list of things you want to find in the wild and you wait until you come across them! I find that waiting is too difficult and I usually settle for something similar! These days I watch you and others rather than searching myself.
You can easily get those green glass diamond glass candle cup converters that go in that candelabra. They were made by HOMCO. They also come in many colors. They can be nice if you do not want to use a taper candle.
Laura's videos bring such a joy and peace to my hectic mind 😄 what an amazing host I had no idea Nashville is such a beautiful and interesting, wish I could visit it one day 🤩
Now you're in my neck of the woods. If your woodpeckers are pecking into the wood on your house, they're more than likely after carpenter bees. The look like Bumble Bees, but they're not the same. We were told to get rid of carpenter bees, hang owls statues around where you see them and they will leave, which in turn, will make the woodpeckers go somewhere else for food. Just FYI.
Male woodpeckers are also known to peck on the metal chimneys & gutters to make loud noises to attract female woodpeckers during mating season. Had a very active one in Banks Or. every spring for a few years.
Thank you for answering our question about Antique Archeology...we went to the LeClaire store and found exactly the same thing. We were sure all the smalls were in Nashville! Although it was interesting and fun to see familiar things we had see on TV we were also hoping for something vintage or antique to carry home. The pickings were very slim. Thanks for sharing! My mom used to make original banana pudding with a meringue topping, anyway, the nuggets are made with vanilla wafers ( Nabisco cookies ). The turquoise jewellery was absolutely stunning! I wouldn’t know what to buy first. Mind you, it depends on the prices! Lol!
I would have peed my pants if I saw that Bitossi dog. I can’t believe it was there all weekend without being picked up! I collect Bitossi too. My mom had a Rimini Blue horse and we had it as long as I can remember. She acquired it as a gift in the 1960s. We always used the colors of that horse to style all of the living rooms of the houses we lived in. I now have that horse and it’s the most cherished piece I have. Well done! Such a great video!
My daughters family visited their LeClaire store in Iowa and found that it was hard to buy small items they did find a gift for my husband that is a huge fan of the show it was a automobile book that had a article about his first car that he still owns
The baby bassinet was pretty. My sister had one in her master bedroom and she hung a very delicate pink lace antique table cloth over as to keep the light filtered. Fun shopping!
What a fun video!! So many fabulous pieces! Loved the bassinet and the beautiful turquoise and silver big pendant and squash blossom necklace towards the beginning of the video. Thrilled for you about the Bitossi dog!!! Also loved those boots you wanted. One of your greatest finds, though, has to be the guy in the mirror!! Can't wait to see NOLA!!
I was loosing my mind, seeing all of that fabulous turquoise jewelry at the next show 😱 that's my quilty pleasure. Nashville is fun city. Need a lot of money. Los Angeles prices.

I went to Nashville around 8 years ago & stayed for a couple of weeks. I absolutely fell in love with it. I really enjoyed all of the live music available & the food was awesome, too! Seeing your meals in this video made me really hungry for fried chicken! I’m happy you found your Bitossi dog! Yay! xo
I was raised in Belle Meade...part of Nashville. I used tp go to Franklin with my Grandparents to antique shopping. She spent 56 years collecting her dining room set. They built 2 log homes in the many years they lived there.
@r mcgrath My friend lived in Cheekwood for several years. I played in Belle Meade Mmansion and on its grounds from the time I was a tot. It was privately owned then and furnished much better than it is now.
My niece was married at Union Station in the lobby are, in front of the fireplace. The reception was set up in the lobby with beautiful tables. I wish you had gone a little farther into Kentucky, we have a booth in a little town called Gilbertsville, Ky Twin Lakes Antique Mall. Also, a lot of fun places.

You have given so many great tips and teaching about pieces through your videos! I have starting ‘buying pieces that you love!’ just like you said Laura. And it’s incredible how much I find myself smiling at the new treasures we have placed in our home because they are what we love. I am learning so much and appreciate you sharing your knowledge with your viewers. Thank you!
Spent this past Christmas in Nashville and recognized many of the places you went. Antique Archeology was a bit of a disappointment, but the building itself was amazing! Glad you had a good time. Try Knoxville next time! We went there too and I got some cool Goodwill deals!
At 18:14 the sconce is Home Interiors from late 70's or early 80's. The green votives were purchased separately, also Home Interiors. I have this and also a matching wall sconce. I purchased gold votives for mine but have changed them throughout the years.
Laura I hope you guys Had a good time in Nashville. There is so much to see 😊 So glad you found some treasure!!!! Girl your in my area I wish I could have see you. Love your channel 😊
22:02 A castle? Hey, why not restore a chateau in France 🇫🇷. Chateau purchasing and restoration in the French countryside is really a popular topic on YT these days. My fave channel for that is The Chateau Diaries with Stephanie Jarvis along with her other channel, Cadeau at the Chateau, where she and her wonderful crew share the huge number of gifts their viewers and supporters send them (and they give the ad revenue from those videos to select charities.) Stephanie, a Brit by birth, is credited with getting a lot of viewers through the pandemic with her sunny persona, fun chateau history, adventure and mishaps and determination to bring back the glory and more to “Chateau Le Lande.” I could see you and you hubby doing something like that, Jennifer. Maybe a joint venture? (No, I’m sure that wouldn’t exactly be your thing and then you’d have to leave your beloved Oregon…naw, bad idea.)
I love this! Eventually, once I learn how to do collage a bit better, I will be making collage papers on the gel plate. I’ve already gotten started 😉. This is so good…I love your art!
I raised my kids 3 miles east of Yamhill. So fun to see a jacket there. My youngest son's 2nd best friend is Jon Stone...he's 1/2 of American Young. Can't wait to get home for Burgerville runs.
Lol.. that yamhill carlton coat, so cool!! I have family there and it's so crazy that coat was in Nashville, yamhill is so small!! Good share Laura always love your vids!!!
Love that you came to Middle TN Laura…when you come back next Skull’s Rainbow Room is a great place for dinner and a show and there are many other places to shop that are vintage /mid century laden as well.
Well I knew about all the wonderful music in Nashville of course, but was unaware of finding great vintage& antique stores. Thank you for the close ups, enjoyed the video.
I went to the second location of Gaslight Antiques when I was In Nashville. It was amazing and the employees were so nice. Not the best prices, but I found some things I hadn’t been able to find anywhere else. 🥰
I never thought of Nashville in the context of antiques and collectibles so thank you for sharing this! I also love tramp art but it's become so expensive.
Fun fact ; antique archeology started in Leclaire iowa - where I’m from and frank lives down the street from a dear friend of mine . I’ve also met Danielle she’s really nice. You guys need to come too iowa!!!
Thanks again, Laura! Congrats on the Bitossi cat. Don't know if you watch @lonefox ... he just bought a big old Spanish style home that he's decorating, and that huge black candelabra looks like something he'd buy.
I’ve been watching your channel only for a short time I’m learning a lot. I’m hoping to come to Portland for your vintage market. I live in Sacramento.
Fun story..I have brothers that live in Chiapas Mexico, Oaxaca is somewhat close so she made a trip there and met the native women who work the black clay. she was told by them there is a mountain where they get the clay from and they go up but women have to stay at a certain level on the mountain, only men and their male children are allowed to retrieve the clay soil, they believe if a woman goes up there the mountain will dry out of this particular soil; which can only be found in Oaxaca. The clay becomes black once is fired (with smoke and heat) and its shinny because of polish. They are truly amazing artist.
🌟 East Nashville Antique Mall is my absolute favorite in Nashville. I owned a vintage store near downtown Nashville for over 20 years before recently retiring. East Nashville Antiques &Vintage has a fabulous staff, and has so many unique items , and there's actual bargain shopping there too. Something for everyone in that place. Did you buy anything there? Always fun "shopping" with you via TH-cam! 😎
@@TheGinamac79 Do you mean Berniece Denton? Never heard of Louise. Estate sales are no good anymore . They're either newer stuff (I am talking outdated year 2000) , or they're priced higher than an Antique Mall. Some Estate Sales have scams going to where they price crazy high, then buy it all for pennies once sale is over. Who wants to get up at the crack ass of dawn to experience that when you can just go to a Mall at your leisure? 😂 Yes, I remember I filled a dishwasher (HUGE) box at a Berniece sale once at some gigantic old house , and her helper at checkout didn't even look in the box and said"Can ya part with a $50" ? "Um, yes ma'am I sure can", I replied. Hope she enjoyed her cigarette break she was dashing for! 😆

I am learning so much and appreciate you sharing your knowledge with your viewers. Thank you!
This makes me so happy to hear!! ❤️❤️❤️
Love all the vintage clothing, wow!, thanks!!
The cool table is “ tramp” art.
What a great show!!
Lol.. that yamhill carlton coat, so cool!!
Good mronng Laura. You're looking great. Thanks for your tour of vintage shopping in Nashville.

Well I knew about all the wonderful music in Nashville of course, but was unaware of finding great vintage& antique stores. Thank you for the close ups, enjoyed the video.
Heyyy girl Nashville is my town. I live in Smithville Tennessee I'm so happy you visit my beautiful Tennessee
Love that arts and crafts center. Fabulous artisan center. Lake is beautiful!
Nashville is a beautiful city.😊👍👍👍
I’ve been to most of these places also.. Love Nashville, TN
I went to the second location of Gaslight Antiques when I was In Nashville. It was amazing and the employees were so nice. Not the best prices, but I found some things I hadn’t been able to find anywhere else. 🥰
That’s the best! Nice employees make a shopping experience so much better 😄 we had a blast “window” shopping even though we didn’t get anything there.
The wood pc with the green class cups is from Home Interior from back in the 70s
You would L❤VE Round Top, Texas Antiques Show. Twice a year, Spring and Fall. Come on Down !!!!!!!!!
So happy you found your dog!
I never thought of Nashville in the context of antiques and collectibles so thank you for sharing this! I also love tramp art but it's become so expensive.
Great Bitossi find Laura, can you give us tips on authenticating one as I am on the look for one as well !!
They are always marked. The unglazed part on the bottom has to be rough and concave. Hope that helps🙂
Fun fact ; antique archeology started in Leclaire iowa - where I’m from and frank lives down the street from a dear friend of mine . I’ve also met Danielle she’s really nice. You guys need to come too iowa!!!
Thank You! Bless You!
Thanks again, Laura! Congrats on the Bitossi cat. Don't know if you watch @lonefox ... he just bought a big old Spanish style home that he's decorating, and that huge black candelabra looks like something he'd buy.
I thought the same thing when I saw that candelabra! It would look amazing in Drew’s home- maybe in his new theater room? Lol

I’ve been watching your channel only for a short time I’m learning a lot. I’m hoping to come to Portland for your vintage market. I live in Sacramento.
Yay!! It’s going to be such a fun market ☺️ I hope you make it! I’m visiting Sacramento later this spring and would love any tips on good spots 😆
Great vlog laura your vlogs are Wonderful always, hope you had an awesome time,😉👍👍👍👍👍💙💙💙
Fun story..I have brothers that live in Chiapas Mexico, Oaxaca is somewhat close so she made a trip there and met the native women who work the black clay. she was told by them there is a mountain where they get the clay from and they go up but women have to stay at a certain level on the mountain, only men and their male children are allowed to retrieve the clay soil, they believe if a woman goes up there the mountain will dry out of this particular soil; which can only be found in Oaxaca. The clay becomes black once is fired (with smoke and heat) and its shinny because of polish. They are truly amazing artist.
Wow, that is very interesting! It truly is an amazing craft. I can’t imagine the amount of time it takes to be able to make one to that skill level 😍
Wow, the clothing and boots looks amazing! All the pieces looks so cool.
Wow. I was at the Nashville show on Thursday and had no idea about the Fiddler's Market. 😢
Always fun
"shopping" with you via TH-cam! 😎
East Nashville has come a long, long way from 90's. Homes were cheap back in the day. I sure Miss Louise Denton's estate sales.
Yes, I remember I filled a dishwasher (HUGE) box at a Berniece sale once at some gigantic old house , and her helper at checkout didn't even look in the box and said"Can ya part with a $50" ? "Um, yes ma'am I sure can", I replied. Hope she enjoyed her cigarette break she was dashing for! 😆
Hi Laura. I really enjoyed your Nashville trip and vintage shopping. They had some lovely pieces. Can't wait until next week.
A few of the motorcycles from the picker show was found and bought here in my hometown of Maggie valley NC,the pickers were here for a week picking for their show
Oh! How I love to be able to visit Memphis TN I have family in Nashville, I hope that they have taken advantage of there states treasures.
