Hi All - Apparently TH-cam decided to play this video in all sorts of languages. While I appreciate the help with my non-english speaking viewers, it apparently was playing in other languages for my English speakers. I think this is fixed now, but please reply to this comment if you are still having an issue. ❤Laura
I thought it was just me!😂
Fixed😃👍
Mine started out in German but it corrected after I went out and came back.
It had happened to another creator I was watching a couple of days ago.
Loved the finds you brought home. You and Jesse make a great team. I really like the 2 faces pots from Mexico. Loved the pictures as well.
I’m shook! You came to my little booth, Heirs of Earl and bought the ceramic bell! I’m so honored! Thank you so much for shopping local! I’m thrilled! From all the vendors at Aunt Bees House 🐝 thank you!
Awe😇
I’ve been stuck inside for 2+ years with Long Covid, missing going to op shops (thrifting). Laura’s channel was one of the things that kept me reasonably sane. This week, I managed a trip out, and guess what was waiting on a shelf at Salvos in Tasmania, Australia? Some Oregon Myrtlewood from North Bend!!!! I bought it in gratitude, and as a tribute. Much thanks, Laura and Jessie …. Truly.
Same situation here. So I feel you! What a happy moment this find must have been. Wish you all the luck and -slow steps to- recovery. 🙏❤️
Same here but 1 year now.Praying we all get better soon!
@@CkAus-x5w Sounds like it was meant to be! So happy you got to go and then find the Myrtlewood!
Two of my kids and I have been housebound since two months before Covid. We have complications of an immune system disorder and late stage Lyme Disease. Many of our symptoms crossover with Long Haul symptoms. I wish you all well on your journey back to good health ❤️
@@factbasedrealityyes me too with autoimmune Sjogrens and Addison’s. I have gotten covid every 6 months this year and only God has kept me alive. I have it now
My goodness, im stunned you left a lalique bowl on the shelf!!!!
I was thinking that, too. But it was really heavy (hard to ship). And it was really scratched up.
She said it had too many scratches on it. Most have ruined it's value.
I would have polished the scratches out of the bottom.
Lol it was so scratched up though
I bought chipped Steuben once, it sold anyway!!
That lion sculpture is to die for! Yay you! I love that Jesse is on more of the thrift trips, he is quite humorous.
I would love to have the lion sculpture. When will it go live?
How much did you pay for the lion sculpture?
Hi, Laura! Just wanted to express my gratitude to you for shopping vintage and preloved. Thank you for shopping and highlighting Salem and Aunt Bee’s House and for supporting my booths there! I’m so glad my Mexican face vases found a fabulous home. 💛🧡🤎
We love them so much!!! They make the whole bookshelf look so much more interesting. We’re so happy to spread the word of your wonderful space and Aunt Bees! Such a great mix of vendors 😍
This is my favorite thrifing channel!
I love that Jesse gets just as excited about a cool piece as you do!
Thank you for supporting the animal thrift shop. All animal shelters are in great need of funds ❤
My mom has a set of three of the Mexican face pots! She bought them in Xochimilco (Mexico City) where we lived in the early/mid nineties. The are staggered sizes and we call them “The Three Tenors” 😂. They really are just decorative pots for a garden or patio. We also put Santa hats on them for Christmas! 😂
Jesse is so humorous, lucky girl laura. You two are a wonderful couple and love watching you.
I bring tea and toast back to bed on a Saturday morning in Ireland for these videos, a lovely ritual, love you two ❤
Me too, only in South-Africa. My Saturday morning joy.
I love how respectful you are of everything that you handle. I watch so many that just toss things around.
Laura, seriously...you could grab an armload of stuff, throw it across the room and it would look amazing!! LOL I so love that you style up your finds to give us all ideas for ourselves.❤❤
You two are a breath of fresh air after what feels like the longest week ever!
Yes. I need to take a break from the world as well. I started watching Laura during Covid. Seems fitting that I would seek comfort from her today.
Thanks to ‘us’ for ‘hanging out to the end’ your vlogs and you guys are such a ‘tonic’ and so enjoyable……….
I’m sure Im not the only subscriber with long term chronic health issues who turns to you for a ‘joyful diversion’ when things are tough…..
And for the sheer pleasure when they are not!
Hx
PS Im from the UK and I looove Goodwill (and now Superthrift!) though Im glad we dont have them here as Im sure Id get lost in a time loop, never to return to the real world!
So much fun, great finds👍👍And I’m still so stoked that Jesse has joined you full time. You too are unbeatable together👍✅✅
Thank you!! We’re having a blast! So grateful for the support of the channel! ❤️😄
I just flew home tonight from my first-ever trip to Oregon, and I did my very best to channel my inner Laura as I did a tour of the Portland-area Goodwills and antique shops! Came back with a few fantastic luggage-friendly scores and some future FOMO for the SE 6th Ave Goodwill (went twice, was in awe). Now you're making me want to do the rest of the state!
Oh my gosh-the memories came flooding in when I saw that Ironrite. My mother had one when I was very young. I remember her using it to iron my father’s good slacks. He was a banker and she kept him supplied with professional looking pants. 🙂 It was kept along one wall in our kitchen. Seven of us lived in a 7 room upper flat and it was hard fitting that huge thing in our home. Lovely memories. I can still picture her working with that Ironrite.
Having staff that is friendly and inviting is a huge selling point. We visited an antique mall in Piedmont Oklahoma where we met awesome staff and vendors that were very accommodating. We love your adventures Jesse and Laura.
I can’t believe you got both paintings at such great prices!!! I’m excited to see what you find on the antique 3 panel painting. It’s gorgeous! ❤
The Mexican Pottery Faces...Mind Blowing!!! U were ment to find them!!! Well done.💞💞🙃💞💞
That 3 panel art piece for $12 was ridiculously fabulous
Some great great finds Laura!!!
You did a great job with the copper stand. You and I have the same taste in many things. I can't tell you what my favorite thing is. I love it all! Friday is my special day; because I get to go on a virtual shopping trip with you and Jesse. Looking forward to next Friday!
It seems that these amazing thrift stores only exist in Oregon! The triptich painting was my favorite. Great video!
Wow, so many amazing finds! That lion sculpture! I can’t wait to hear when you find out what it’s worth, as well as both gorgeous paintings! I love the tray, as well! Perfect evening of thrifting, you two!
My favorite find today was the lion head sculpture.
Fave- the 3 piece Oregon coast original painted art and the two washed out mexican 😊vases with “O” mouths
My favorite was the triptych painting of the Oregon coast. Wow!
Much better with the art. You are so imaginative. I never would of thought of using art in that copper thing.
😂
I would say this video is my favourite based on the amount of great things they found. Many hits at several locations
What I love about your videos is the fact that you never show eating places and you buying food to supposedly keeping your strength up. Lol Have been watching you for years Laura and love now your journey with Jessie..
Omg, I’m old…… perfect Friday #2; bubble bath, cocktail, fabulous thrift finds! I love the glasses , art, table….etc!,
When I go to sleep, my husband son are watching the Mike Tyson fight but when I go to sleep, I always I don’t turn my TV on, but I get my iPad and lay here with my cat while they’re watching the fight and I look for you and I get so excited on Fridays because I know there’s gonna be a video from you. You made my night sad isn’t it?
We’re honored you choose us to spend your Friday nights with! ❤
Not sad your enjoying what you like love and blessings
Great finds. My favorite is actually the face vases. Love the personality of them. Certainly conversation pieces. Very fun find.
Great video! Of course we stuck it out to the end! Okay, South Salem Goodwill gave us the most amazing 7 piece outdoor patio set for 99 bucks a few years ago! 400 bucks in pillows later, we have enjoyed it for years! Great finds, and thanks for letting us know about the obscure Salem places we have not been! Cheers, Vintage Vault PDX Linda and Bill
The very moment I spotted those pottery heads, my whole body lurched forward as if I could grab them through the screen!…so silly I know, but they are exactly what I’m always looking for to compliment my artwork on my walls….I’m suffering such severe envy because I can’t even buy them from you as I’m so far away!
My advice though would be to hold onto them for now, because I absolutely know that high end designers would pay premium prices for those beauties! 😉👌 great scores this trip, loved ALL your finds!
I said it before and i will say it again I love you as a couple! I love that you enjoy thrifting together 😊
Wow. This video was amazing. You found so many stunning unique pieces. The Robert Banister painting is phenomenal. Loved the glass and stone side tables and the lion sculpture is magnificent. Have to also mention the Mexican face vases. They are stunning. I really loved the styling part at the end, especially the shelves. So impressive! Your styling is truly inspiring. Thank you ❤️❤️
My favorite things were both paintings, the Mexican face vases, and the little salt and pepper shakers. You find the coolest stuff. I love your home. I'd just walk around staring at all your neat finds.
So much fun! Don't know if I can pick a favorite, but I love Lions. Also, the 3 part antique painting is a favorite. Laura, you look great, and Jesse's "not too shabby" either. Still wearing my little turquoise fish on my curving pinky. It seems to help balance it out. Blessings, Cat
The lion head, the paintings and the face vases! Wow! Also all the beautiful wood and pottery pieces you find.
I have a laundry basket full of Kokeshi dolls. All different shapes and sizes, including nesting dolls. I put a few on market place the other day for $10 each and so far no one is interested. My daughter has the cutest collection of them though. So adorable!
Loved the Lion Head statue and the little Copper frame. This was a wonderful shopping trip!
I love your videos! I lived in Portland for 10 years and would go thrifting as much as I could. These videos scratch that itch now that I'm across the country. Thanks Laura!
I have a Chrysler Town and Country van. All seats fold in the floor. Perfect vehicle for treasure hunting.
I loved those two pots with the faces and the Loin head. Those were pretty awesome.
This video was so relaxing and fun to watch. What a team you are! So joyful in what you are doing, and quality time together too! The copper frame with the hanging art was a score! The way you hid those weird holes in the base with the contact paper that looked like wood, pristine job! Very cool.
Jesse, you are so right... delicious apples are not delicious!
They use to be a really good apple. When I was a produce manager we noticed that the red delicious apples were looking more bright red and bruising more easily. The texture of the apples became mealy and gritty. Like eating wet sand.
What happened was the the apple producers were messing with the genetic of the apples to make them more attractive. True red delicious apples are a darker red with streaks of brown and yellow. They were crispy, sweet, and juicy.
I won’t buy red delicious any more. I prefer Fuji.
Or pink lady! @@lynnmartinez5701
Pink Lady and Sweet Tango apples are amazing also
Holy Moly, what a ginormous, fabulous, magical HAUL!!! I would pick the two large original paintings as my faves. OMGosh! 💙😱
I can not believe that you didn’t thirst trap us with the Lion Head🎉 Incredible find! Go you good things!!
The little wooden vase is by Rude Osolnik and is probably worth $150-200. Some fantastic finds this video!!
I loved the brass stand that you revised with the art piece. And of course the lion head was gorgeous. I just returned from a vacation down the Oregon coast 2 weeks ago. I was able to hit a few Goodwills and thrift stores but didn’t buy a whole lot. The coast was too beautiful to stay away from for long. But gosh those stores were so much better organized than Ohio goodwills!
Never been to Oregon, but as a fellow Buckeye, I concur!
@ we ended up skipping part of the North coast to go to the game! Not the ending we wanted but had so much fun. Oregon fans were very nice, and there were a lot of Buckeye fans there too! Had a blast.
Favorite.....The Lion Head....Ofcourse!!!💞💞🙃💞💞
Loved the checkered (inlayed) tray the most!!! And the sea coast painting with 3 panels
It was stunning
Love the lion. What an awesome find😊😊
Your thrift stores are so much better than ours in Minnesota. I've probably said that before... I loved this thrift so much. Fell in love with everything. I can't pick my fave!!!
That triple panel painting! Definitely my favorite although everything you found was gorgeous. The other super large painting is also amazing and the lion head...... what a day you and Jesse had! Can't believe what a great pair you are and that he thrifts with you all the time
That lion head sculpture sold on 1st dibs for $1150 WOW!!
Great finds!! What a fun outing for sure! Loved the coasters & the incense holder, but the painting was my second fave & the LION...just awesome!! And great DIY on that copper piece. What a great upgrade & saving something so special.
Laura, I love watching your videos packed w/ info such as prices, identifying the piece & condition issues. Could you please add some picking vintage Christmas items as well? I really enjoyed your video from a few years ago before you moved & you went to Goodwill to find Christmas goodies. It was very refreshing to see what you got & how you styled it n your home. ❤️
Loving these thrifting with Jesse videos and that you put the fin😊ds and stlying them up back at the end of the video!
I so enjoy watching you two, especially with a full vehicle! I love your DIY.
That 3 panel painting is magnificent to say the least! I can't believe they had that priced at $12.00!!! 🤪
I love the three panel painting and anything wood!!
Omg I would have gotten the Lalique glass!
Wow - I love, love, love that 3-panel artwork piece. It is gorgeous! So many great finds in this trip...!!!
A Lalique bowl - OMG!!!!! And u left it
Right? I couldn't believe it.
It was badly scratched
@@colleenpiechowski8511 Scratches can be fixed on valuable glass.
What a day !!! Love the up scaled art piece , beautiful !!! All the art today is beautiful !! ❤🦘
So fun to see you two together! Love the Lion sculpture!!
We all know how u love your Lions!!! Ofcourse u got it girl!!!💞💞🙃💞💞
I love the bloopers at the end! You two are so fun! I hope to travel with you someday!
I love that your husband fully supports you and that you are such an amazing team. Thanks for sharing your adventures
U are The Master of Staging!!!💞💞🙃💞💞
The ironing thing is called a mangle. For sheets, table linens etc. some women were so good at using them, they could do shirts. Expensive thing to have back in the day.
Yeah, I kind of laughed their generation is stunned and like "what is this!?"😅 In my apartment building, there actually still is a mangle to use when doing laundry. It's a modern version although, but the older generation still use it for their sheets.
This is my 1st time commenting on your channel.
I'm from Yorkshire England.
Have been watching you for so long now, you 2 are just the best.
Had to comment there were 3 of my favourite things you didn't purchase and I was mortified 😀
1st was René Lalique arrrggggghhhhhh
2nd was some polish pottery, I know it's not your cup of tea but I love it.
3rd was a Sylvac rabbit not valuable but sentimental.
Laura you are just the best keep on rocking it.
Your thrift stores have so many wonderful items. You have a great eye. Love the hanging granite up grade!!!
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the crane painting ❤
Dear Laura, I really enjoy your videos and particularly this one, not only for the beautiful things you found once more while thrifting, but also for showing us your creative side again in decorating your home. It looks lovely lovely!!! I look forward to your new videos. A Romanian fan
So glad to see someone thrift some gorgeous things not just schmaltzy animal figurines.
That antique art painting is gorgeous !!!
You two are such nice people, sweet to one another, knowledgeable, and just great fun. Thank you for letting me come along.
We’re so happy to have you with us! ❤️ Thank you for the kind words!
Now we all want a Salem to Dallas Texas thrift adventure from you guys 😊
Definitely the Lion Sculpture! Amazing find! ❤️
I would call the coastal painting a Triptych. The lion head=EPIC!!
Way to manifest that gorgeous art with the cranes! It is stunning! ❤ edit- you definitely need a sprinter van! 😉
The Robert Bannister painting is an awesome find! Great haul in general. Your re-use of the copper frame was a wonderful idea. I might have gone with artwork that picked up the earthy tones of the frame though. Thanks for taking us along!
Many awesome finds! My favorite are the 2 Mexican pottery pieces… I just love the colors, textures and expressions.
Oh my goodness that lion head fantastic 🦋
Wow! The lion head sculpture!
❤❤❤
Oh, my goodness! I can’t believe you found an Ironrite! My mom had one. We ironed sheets and pillowcases on it. I learned how to iron on that. So cool!💜👍🥰
One of my all time favorite videos from you two! ❤️
Your videos are my little vacation to the States , thank you for the joy you bring to my life . I 'm from venice italy ,shops like yours don't exist here .❤
Gah! That lion sculpture!!!!! 😍
This is some of my favorite things you have ever found! The glasses, the face jugs, the ginkgo plate, etc etc etc
May we say the best part of Friday evenings are her uploads 💛
Mine too! look forward to these uploads every week...she's my long lost sister
@@THEWIELDBOYS8700@@24appleberries Thank you both for hanging with us!! 😊
1000%!! I always have the biggest smile on my face by the end of the video!
Your home and shop are so beautifu and well put together. I love seeing how you style things and stage things. I would also love to see a 'behind the scenes' of your garage and other storage spaces for all of your extras and project pieces. Would be fun to see the reality of collecting and refinishing in addition to all the final results.
The lion head is my favorite and would look so beautiful in your home!
I can’t decide where I want to put it 😍 🦁
How much was it? Super awesome find!@@leftcoastrevivals
Oh I love Croatia and Santorini. I hope you both have an incredible time 🎉🎉
Enjoyed every minute! Not to beat a
theme to death... but how gracious of you Jesse to congratulate "Bob" on his coasters! Lol. I may be the only one following the stream 😅
