This man didn't want to have to give her a share of his assets, or pay child support. It's just one of oldest reasons for murder(money). So sad. But as always I love the way you let us in on these stories, your amazing. Thank you so much

The question I always come back to is how or why a person can go from loving someone to ending their life? I am divorced, and there is no love lose between my ex and I, but I don't wish him harm, and I remember that at one time we enjoyed each others company ... But, although that was long ago it I still remember .... Yes, things went wrong, but that is what divorce is for.
I have heard people in true crime accounts of people saying crap like I didn't want to go through the hassle of a divorce, so the chose murder....That makes absolutely no sense to me at all!🤔🙄

I just don't understand this. Did he really think they weren't going to check and see what was in her system. Stupid. I'm glad criminals are stupid. Those poor kids.

Thank you so much for covering this story!! I think he 100% did this. He even had the knowledge to know how much it would take to overdose someone bc he had to monitor his patients so closely. Plus the toxicology speaks for itself!!

email would be okay if marriage problems. my husband left me out of the blue and i insisted all communication be in writing to cover myself legally. he absolutely did this to not have to pay money to her! he was so selfish!

1. It was very suspicious that he went to the medicine cabinet and pulled the Klonopin or clonazepam from the back of the medicine cabinet. I take klonopin for my anxiety. It doesn't make me drowsy or unable to function. It just helps me calm down when I'm having an anxiety / panic attack.
2. Then Maria did not have any Klonopin or clonazepam in her system per the autopsy
3. Then the police looked through Maria's journals and in her journals there was absolutely nothing about her wanting to take her life. Her kids were her life. She has so many goals and passions that she wanted to fulfill so there's no way that she was suicidal.
4. Maria's husband started to lose weight and then you said he got comfortable talking to other women. And then it's totally a red flag when he stopped posting pictures of his family life and of his wife and of their kids.
5. For him to be having an affair with Janet when his wife was literally giving birth is absolutely disgusting.
6. And then when Maria found out about the affair because he was taking Janet on all of these luxury vacations. Of course he was going to love bomb Maria and say how sorry he is and just lie to her. And then he's taking Maria on a vacation to Vegas and buying her expensive purses just for her to think that he truly loves her and he made a mistake and that Maria is the one for him. It was just all a lie because like you said he wanted his cake and he wanted to eat it too
7. My heart just hurts for Maria number one of course because she was murdered but before she was murdered she wanted her family back so bad. And he just continued to string her along even though he was actually living at Janet's house for 5 months. It's just disgusting.
8. Oh that's so heartbreaking that Maria went to Janet's house and she told him either Janet or me and he picked Janet. It's just so heartbreaking because I was in that situation with my ex-husband. He was cheating on me for a year and 5 months I found out. I knew he was being unfaithful but I didn't have the proof at the time. But then it all came out and my 22-year marriage ended because I left him. Even though afterwards he was begging me to take him back and that he would change. I was like oh no a year and 5 months is a whole relationship that's not a fling
9. Yeah it doesn't even make sense if she took a whole bottle of the clozapam and then put it neatly in the back of the medicine cabinet.
10. Yeah saying that you were in the shower and the shower being dry yet you're sweating bullets obviously doesn't make any sense so I'm glad the investigator picked up on that.
11. Then for him to be evasive towards the investigators and then not wanting them to search his house is obviously a red flag. It's not because he's a private person is because he didn't want the truth to be found out.
12. I know a lot of nurses and they do not even bring home a bag mostly with all the stuff that he had in that bag.
13. For the doctor to contact the police and to give a list of drugs that they need to look for in the autopsy was definitely something that helped with this investigation.
14. TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS.
A. YES she was MURDERED by her husband.
B. There was no trace of clonazepam like he said he gave her and then she ended up taking the whole bottle.
C. Then to have the doctor look at the levels of peripheral however you say it the medicine and he said it's the highest amount he's ever seen.
D. Then to have Janet tell everything so that she would get immunity. She even said that he told her that he injected Maria with that drug. He told her he just wanted to calm her down. That's bullshit. Then she said that he got rid of stuff that he used to drug Maria. Then to have him tell Janet to delete all of her ring doorbell videos.
C. HE MENT TO MURDER MARIA
I wrote something similar but not as long and you are 💯% right 🎯My step daughter is a certified nurse anesthetist and she would never bring that stuff home. I think I wrote like 5 things of why he killed her but IMHO I think he killed her no doubt. I love the way you listed it by number ❤️. It's perfectly done and mine is just messy AF lol 😆. It makes me wanna rewrite the whole thing but I'm not. Like I said the way you listed off everything is pure perfection 🌺
Yep! Now Klonopin wasn’t the best benzodiazepine for me, as it did make me groggy. But I took Ativan, lorazepam, long term because it wasn’t as sudden and lasted longer for my anxiety attacks. And her not having any in her freaking stomach alone proves he’s a liar.

I think he did it. He did not want to pay child support and did not want the boys to go to Porta Rico. Also his own boss calling the medical examiner to tell them what drugs to look for in her system and then they find those exact drugs makes him look pretty guilty.

His defense attorney saying “Joel loved Maria” really has me 🙄 tbh cause yeah he loved her. Past tense. He loved her until he didn’t anymore and chose to cheat. He loved her until he didn’t anymore and just like how he chose to cheat, he chose to murder her.

Guilty. He committed murder. Self-centered. He over estimated his lovers willingness to cover his tracks. So, Maria achieved total freedom from him in the end at a much higher cost than what he would have had to pay for the divorce! Idiot. He gambled and LOST and it cost him everything. Not just monetary!!

I fully believe he killed her on purpose. My cousin was in the exact same situation as Maria and her husband killed her this past May. He also put on the "loving husband" facade at her funeral. He still has not been arrested. My prayers go out to Maria's children and family. No one ever expects to lose a loved one to murder, especially by someone who claimed to love them.
I think he was tired of dealing with her and just wanted her to be gone

I just learned about a case out of Oregon City, Oregon, the murder, dismemberment, and disposal of Kara Rayleen Taylor 😣 It's a really tragic one, but given who her killer was, I think it's a really important case to share and remind people to be aware and to be very careful with who they trust. And OF COURSE I think you would 1000000% do it justice and be able to find a ton of info that I couldn't & I know you'd bring Kara to life for us to meet through your video ❤️

In the medical field, those meds in particular are always kept track of, so eventually, it would be obvious he stole them. Also, this trained person should have known that they would be found at autopsy.

I do think he killed her. He had plenty of suspicious behavior. Him leading the paramedics upstairs and starts doing CPR, why? The paramedics were there and they literally had to ask him if they could take over. I believe it was all an act. That he wanted to present himself as this caring husband even though paramedics were right behind him. I believe the journal is enough to say she didn’t commit suicide. How can him being an anesthesiologist not know that he was putting in high levels of propel enough to kill her? I’ve had enough surgeries and I’m sure I’ll have more, even I know about propel and the risks. 🤦🏻♀️

For an anesthetist, he's rather dumb. To claim that she took medication orally, he should have known that her body would not have shown evidence of that. His literal job is to administer drugs intravenously. He would have known that that would leave a mark. Not only that, but then for the concoction of drugs to be found in her system. 🙄 Not a smart move. You'd think he would have thought this plan through better. 🙄

the first case is the murder of Birna Brjánsdóttir. I don´t want to say to much from this case cuz I think it more interesting looking into blindly.
and the other one is Guðmundur and Geirffinur case. Its about a mysterious disappearance of Guðmundur. it has not been solved to this day.
