    Hey Brittany!!! So glad you covered this case, I honestly had never heard of it before today. The main thing that has me mind blown (besides the awful murder and baby napping), it is #1 dealing BABIES is an actual criminal charge(which it should be! And I don’t understand how other people that commit crimes like these aren’t charged with this), #2 it’s only a MISDEMEANOR!! Dealing dr**gs, is a lot of the time a FELONY!! But, dealing BABIES is a misdemeanor!?!? Please make it make sense!😢 I absolutely love you and your videos!!❤🎉❤

    Yes, she absolutely should’ve been found guilty for this. She knew exactly what she was doing, the “mental health problems” is bullshit. She tried it more than once so it’s obvious she was intentionally doing it

    • @reyannecopus6624

      Ofc she should be held accountable but she needs to be in a mental institution

      On the other hand, I can see the habitual behavior as more of a sign of mental illness. I haven’t finished the video yet though. I’m at 30:07

    • @ashandemi
      @ashandemi 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@lflood84 she has some mental health problems, but I wouldn’t use that as an excuse for what she did

    • @lflood84
      @lflood84 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@ashandemi no not an excuse at all. To me it sounds like her impulse control is completely gone but she obviously knows right from wrong so imo she should be in a criminal hospital and if they can get her under control then she can be sent to prison. No where in this video did I hear her or her family asking for help. She only went to a hospital before bc she got caught so she deserves to be locked up either way.

I love that you show much respect & recognition to the victims & families...I have a case that you might be interested in...I moved to Kansas years ago & the house I moved into had a murder victim that lived behind me, the murderer would actually stalk the victim from my backyard..anyways, I could go on & on, but her name is Jodi Sanderholm...It deeply touched this whole community..I will continue to watch forever now..keep up the great work!!💜

    When women do this, I will never understand right down to the simple parts, like I’ve been pregnant, four times, and naturally, obviously, I can never imagine getting up and staging a belly every day for almost a year… that is wild… and the fact that some of these women have partners…. VERY questionable.

  • @goodwifeweaver
    @goodwifeweaver 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +9

    I worked in mental health as a case manager for people with the most severe mental illness (schizophrenia, severe BPD, severe bipolar, etc). The justice system, IMO, is kind of messed up, because it is absolutely possible for someone to suffer from severe mental illness but make a plan to do something heinous. I think in this case, this woman should not be allowed to be in public again because she's just too dangerous, but I think people like this should be kept in a psychiatric facility for life. I have had to visit clients in jail, and a huge problem with our "justice" system is that it inhumane. Psychiatric treatment in prisons is terrible. Moving a person with severe mental illness from a psychiatric hospital to a prison basically ensures that their mental illness will return and possibly worsen. And I understand that in such a horrific case like this, the knee jerk reaction is to want the perpetrator to suffer. I absolutely understand how her family would feel that way, and I'm sure if it were me, I would feel that way too. But the answer to this kind of thing is developing a human-centered society that seriously addresses mental health BEFORE it spirals into violence. And I can tell you from experience - we do NOT have that in the US. At all.

    Answer to questions: yes; yes; yes and yes. Mental health issues are real and can be devastating. However, that doesn't always mean that you don't know right from wrong. The methodical planning of this particular murder certainly proves that. Prison time is definitely warranted.

    I have schizoaffective disorder, which is very similar to paranoid schizophrenia. In my opinion, her premeditated
    and methodical planning of this murder, would not be possible if she was in psychosis. She wouldn't have been this organised enough to carry this out.

    Oh my freak on a freaker. Well I suffer from autism. I have a really hard time figuring you "normal-"thinkers out. To people who doesn´t know me, I come of as arrogant, condescending, and really really rude. On "great" days all the before mentioned. You bet your sweet patuti that i´ll apologize immediately if I, unintentionally, hurt someone with my words and someone points that out to me. With that being said; I know darn well that I can´t kill anyone or hurt anyone in harms way, without it has consequences. Andrea knew that what she did was wrong, and she deserves to be punished for what she did. I don´t feel sorry for her. I feel sorry for the vicim, the baby, the victims family and Andreas family. But Andrea? Big fat NO!! As always, thank you Brittney for telling us about this tragedy. Have a great week fellow-bratpackers, stay safe.

    She's totally completely guilty. Her actions show that she knew what she was doing was wrong.
    Not only did she put the bag over her head, but she ducked. It taped it so that she couldn't claw it off and then hid her body. Behind her headboard, people that are not mentally competent. Don't think to hide the body or think it through enough to put the bag over her head and duct tape it. She knew what she was doing

    I think this case speaks to the wobble room given to legal precident by judges' discretion. I dont think this judge fully understood how the psychology & legal definition of insanity applied to this case. If she was mentally ill enough to be hospitalized n not fully understand the gravity of her crimes or be sane enough to form intent enough for 1st degree murder then how wss she sane enough to waive her right to a jury trial n participate in her defense? Sounds like grounds for an appeal to me. Similarly, how in the actual hell do the actions commited during her crime indicate legal insanity? Not only were her actions part of a pattern of criminal behavior but they also included planning, trickery, acquiring drugs to sedate a victim, kidnapping, the physical commission of the crime, attempts so minimize/destroy evidence and conceal the crime. That all takes so much intent, planning, manipulation etc definitely not something someone truly dissociated from reality would be able to do .
