Dynos are useful for comparison, you can occasionally see those figures with the right operating conditions and a healthy car, don't forget that a dyno run is just a snapshot of a vehicles output in that specific point in time, with those specific conditions etc. So to compare fairly, you'd need to be comparing on the same day etc

And do you think some fresh ngk plugs would of made a difference getting it closer to 400, majority of Rs seem to run 400 or just over so for there to be a 20bhp difference would do my head In if I was the customer😂......(im currently looking to buy an R and goin straight to stage 2 this is why I'm interested you see)
@@Scouse.Malinois entirely depends on the conditions on the day and the health of the engine. Spark plugs won't improve output by 20HP unless they're solving a problem that the stock spark plugs have, for example if they have come to the end of their service life.
For sure we could fudge our figures but we're not into that. We just tune the car to make the output it can within reasonable parameters. We do not have easily accessible boost data per car for TH-cam, sorry! Besides, the customer is absolutely over the moon with his build and loves it!
@@RegalAutosport Can you guys explain please how the valve works on the stock or in the valved Milltek system? Is it operated by the driving mods or by rmp? In the video at 8:15 you can clearly hear that the sound is changed? I guess it was in race mode?
@@7.5R When you enter 'race' mode in the Golf R the valves open and idle revs increase, plus more pops and bangs! In eco/drive the valve will open at a certain RPM/load to improve flow.

APR no longer supply Downpipes or their stage 2 for sports cat or decat cars. We do however offer a range of downpipes and our own in-house software, if you’re interested go to the description and find the details to speak to a performance specialist

Thanks for the comment, if you wish to enjoy maximum torque then yes - you will need a clutch upgrade. If you do not want to upgrade the clutch on a manual, or DSG software on a DSG car then we can limit the torque output to try to reduce the likelihood of clutch slip.

Yeah! Biggest upgrade for any turbocharged cars will always be Stage 1 software! However, the exhaust also improves the rear-end aesthetic and sound too

That is a flexi, it allows the downpipe and exhaust on the other side of the flexi to move with more freedom, so that they don't break.
These Milltek exhausts are unreal... its the valved resonated version with a decat right? Awesome sound!

Bit harder pedal but it's super easy to get used to.

So APR still has the stage 2 software available for UK customers? It's been discontinued here in the US due to new EPA regulations.
They have JUST stopped offering it BUT we do offer our in-house software for these cars which delivers similar performance
