    Hi David and Rachel. Another very useful addition, and so easy to fit. Looks good enough to be "original" equipment too. An easy fix for a little bit of extra peace of mind and security - ideal. Thanks again. George and Trish - The CaravanningMacs

    As you say David, simply and secure. Like the idea to paint it to so it blends in better. Nice job

      Yes definitely would look better painted (so long as I don’t make a mess of the painting 😀) also with a bit of heat shrink or something to prevent any rattle from it when moving - thanks for the comment - appreciated - David 👍

    Brilliant idea, thanks for that David, another item we will get for our van. My wife cringed at the sound of that screwdriver though, said it reminded her of the dentist :-)

      I did think about muting out the screwdriver - it did sound noisy didn’t it and made a strange sound at first taking the screws out. Rachel’s just said it reminded her too so knows where your wife is coming from - will remember for next time to mute it out 😄 thanks for the comment - appreciated and I think it’s a great addition - all the best, David 👍

    Nice! I'd also consider attaching a short length of cord between the pin pull-ring and the storage location to stop the pin going AWOL. Although it does seem pretty well located.

      Great idea, knowing my luck I would be parked over a grate and open the door and it would fall down 😀 You’re right it’s quite well located if you pop it in right but still great idea to secure it so it doesn’t fall off or get misplaced. Thanks for the comment and welcome to the channel, all the best, David 👍

    Hi, I was amused by this video especially at the ease in which you loosened the screws.I bought one of these security devices about three months ago after watching a video by a guy from Northern Ireland (can't remember his name) but I've not been able to fit the brackets because I cannot undo the screws. Can't get any turn at all. Mentioned this to my builder neighbour, who I think could beat a gorilla in an arm wrestling competition, and he couldn't budge them either. I too used a Bosch electric screwdriver but without any success. Mine's an 2021 model Ducato but that shouldn't make any difference.

      They did seem to come out fairly easy didn’t they all be it they were tight but not over-tight - sorry to hear that as should have been a nice easy install. I wonder why it’s so tight? Not sure what to suggest as have had my share of stuck screws and bolts. Not sure if a bit of WD40 would loosen a bit? All the best, David 👍

    Hi David.
    These are now out of stock!! Power of TH-cam I guess.
    Hopefully Amazon will get more soon. Looks like a very good product.
    Are there any other companies that make similar type of locking system I wonder?
    All the best.
    Mel

      Oh no, It does seem a good solution, easy to install and seems effective - I imagine they will get some back in stock soon, sorry about that, will have a look and see if anyone else stocks same or similar - All the best, David 👍

    Hi Guys, not sure why my original comment never appeared but this is a great mod and one I am going to fit. I am going to have dead locks fitted externally but with this mod could probably save some cash by not having one fitted to the barn doors. Have you thought of fitting anything internally to the sliding door, camper protect from Germany have a chain which looks good and could probably be reproduced here easily. Also going to fit a pro plate to the front door so the central locking can't be picked. Cheers K.

      Hi Karlos, I’ve had that happen where comments sometimes disappear, I think if a link is included it sometimes does that. Great idea regarding deadlocks and also the pro-plates. Are you going to fit yourself or get someone to fit for you? All the best, David 👍

      @@LeisureBit Hi David, Happy to fit Pro Plate but I'd rather pay someone to cut holes in my van.

    Hi David another brilliant video. Surely the person failing to gain entry at the rear would just break into the other 3 entries?

      Evening, you are probably right hence needing to look at security across all access points to try and put them off. It does give a sense of security when you're asleep I find (all be it you need to know how to remove/open in the event of needing to escape) Suppose everything helps... All the best, David 👍

    Hi David,really enjoy your videos and implemented some of them,may I ask a question, my water pump has stopped working so I have changed it and still not working, have you any idea if the pump has its own fuse,thanks David

    • @LeisureBit
      @LeisureBit  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi David, thank you and sorry to hear your pump isn’t working. It’s definitely protected by a fuse, is the light illuminating on the control panel when you press the pump button or just nothing happening?

    Aren't our large fiats and Peugeot's campers h3 height? Sorry if I've got this wrong ...good video tho

    • @LeisureBit
      @LeisureBit  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Paul, The H3 height are for the 2.76m van if that helps, the Elddis/Compass CV range are based on the H2 (2.524m plus then aerial etc taking to 2.67m) from my understanding. H2L3. Hope that helps, all the best, David 👍

    Hello David, was just catching up on this vlog. Going to fit one on our CV40 was it the H1 or H2? Thanks in advance

    • @LeisureBit
      @LeisureBit  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It was the H2 one which I fitted from memory, there was also a H3 which I believe was different. All the best, David 👍
