Honda seems to be the best manufacturer for small-overlap frontal crash injury protections.

Volvo is the best for the small overlap category. All tested Volvos got a good score. Some Hondas did poorly

That back movement should make it a lot less than good.
The crash test safety rating always comes out as good if the dummy's legs don't get trapped under the instrument panel in the crash.
Much better than the one that was tested 2 years ago before this in 2012

@@themobkiller6799 Because tests with 2 letter words are usually private nowadays. Back in the 90s, the IIHS used only CF but when 2001 rolled around, they decided to change the word to CEF instead of CF. Same goes for the CEN ones which the 2012 Odyssey had CN.

There wasn't much intrusion into the occupant space and the dummy recorded injury measures that a real person could walk away from.

its not about that its about the injuries
the injuries recorded on the dummy were non-existing and the dummy was well controlled

how did the dummie recieve an HIC rating of 130? the way the dummie interacts with the airbag can cause a concussion.
The head didn't hit the steering wheel through the airbag
That neck is going to hurt
Still better than nissan quest
Have you seen the 2012 Odyssey? If you haven't, you should. It's even worse than the quest.

The Odyssey is known to be the safest minivan out there. I find it funny that people see something and do no research.

get Good, and the Quest never improved and got discontinued.

This is the worst small over lap i have ever see😮 the whole compartment went flickering !
No that's not what you think, the whole car bent because the forces traveled at the side of the car. And that's what's supposed to happen. If the whole car doesn't bend like that, then it's likely that the forces traveled into the occupant which means higher risk of injury.
Try the Nissan Quest of similar years. Worst ever.

That actually did quite well. A real life driver would be a little sore for a couple days and have a bruise on their neck/shoulder where the curtain airbag hit them. They'd probably have to get out through the passenger side, but they'd walk away. Compare it to the Nissan Quest, where you'd be lucky to ever walk again.
