    Defo agree with the light front when u give it power, defo had a few tank slappers! I've learnt when to and not to put the power on! Defo makes u a better rider without the dampers! Nice vid. Isle of Man for me next week so looking forward to letting my R6 stretch her legs!

    Nice machine !
    Makes me remember my Suzuki
    RGV500cc 2strokes
    Light wight & lots of power
    But you must have pretty strong
    Arms and grip in order to avoid lift & the shaky movement of the front wen full throttling.

    Really beautiful R6 simply has been amazing and still is btw just one question out of curiosity, what tires are you using? they seem they are directional tires but your front tire goes side to center instead of center to side (treads) it doesn't seem normal to me

    I've a question which I guess you're the best person to ask with as you've experience with bikes in all categories.
    Here it goes;
    "I wanna upgrade to an OVERKILL bike for mostly city purpose (I've long straights n lane changing traffic :D) as well as 'comfortable touring' purpose (where i can unleash the beast :D )
    I had made up my mind to get the upcoming Duke390 2017. But I wanna jump to 600s or 650s right on.
    What would you recommend man? :))

    • @solosnail
      @solosnail  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      NinjaThug ninja 650 is a great starter touring bike. u want a nice screen to help with highway winds. however unleashing the beast is not its best attribute. u probably wants something with more power. if u already ride and know how to respect ur machine, then I would recommend a little bigger. like a hypermotard or fz09. u won't get tired of those bikes easily because they have character and a shot ton of torque which makes it much more fun then any sport bike u ride in the streets.

      I know u can. I bought them knowing they were fully adjustable. I did everything possible to make it feel right I had no luck. They just didn't feel right in compare to any other bike I've owned.

    @realchattv4389 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yo man Wassup , beautiful bike 🔥 I've got the same bike just in blue....I've got a question for you , how often does your fan come on when you're cruising? And does your bike also suffer from this "Yamatick" thing ?

    • @solosnail
      @solosnail  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      fan comes on at 220 till 210 degrees, bike runs super smooth no issues at all .

    • @realchattv4389
      @realchattv4389 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      solosnail Alright thanks bro ✊ then I need to go get mine checked out because there's this funny ticking sound it makes while the bike is cold , as soon I get going and it warms up it stops , went to the Yamaha dealership and they said something about the valves expanding or something along those lines *not too mechanically savvy lol* , but apparently there's nothing wrong.

    • @solosnail
      @solosnail  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mokhele Polo that's ticking noise is the valves. As long as the bike does not die out on you then that means the timing is right. If it begins to bog or suddenly stop then u should be on guard and send it in for a timing adjustment which should be covered under warranty. I hear them on my fz09 as well so I know exactly what ur taking about. My r6 sometimes made that noise but not consistently. It usually sounds super smooth with no ticking. But my bikes sleep in the garage as well as living in sunny state of California. Temperature here is usually in mid 70's.

      nice! the r6 has been the the ultimate 600 even before the r model came out. it's time to upgrade though. the newer 600's have slipper clutch now to prevent ur rear wheel from locking with down shifting and are much lighter.

    Are you certain that your suspension is not just misadjusted? The R6 frame, subframe, and suspension have been acclaimed above all other aspects of it. I like to pay some of the track team guys to set my bike up and write down their adjustments to avoid mistakes.

    • @solosnail
      @solosnail  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I took it to Dave moss (which is our local track guy expert) a few times not just once and he basically told me that I need to get another or bigger spring and revalve it or retune it. it is going to cost me about $450. check out Dave moss videos. he is pretty good. he reads how u ride by the wear of ur tire.

    • @solosnail
      @solosnail  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      he tuned all my bikes, but this r6 rear suspension is too soft for me. maybe it the way i ride, the rear end is very bouncy. I ride and trust the rear a lot as I come in hot, I fly into the corner and dive hard at the last minute. check out my other uploads of me at the track, this is the only bike I had this issue with.

    is it just me, or do these new 2016 bikes seem little? i ride a 2005 zx6r, and compared to the 2016 gsxr 600 and the 2016 r6, my bike seems a lot taller and beefy-er than these new ones. i love how they look though, they just look way smaller than i remember them

    • @chadb231
      @chadb231 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I know exactly what you mean. I realize that the new tech in these bikes allow them to be smaller, lighter etc, but damn, the new bikes are just too tiny. my 06 cbr1000 looks way more substantial than the new fireblades (08-2016), and my own bike already feels small enough. I cant imagine myself riding an r6, me being 6'3''. I would love to ride one, they look like great bikes.

    • @solosnail
      @solosnail  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Both are high performance sportbikes that can easily kill you but you're an adult so I won't lecture you, personally a few years ago I got an R6 as my first bike and never regretted it.

    • @solosnail
      @solosnail  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Edward Armstrong the r6 is a strong 600. I really don't recommend and sport bike as a first bike. I recommend a supermoto, or a 250cc or 300cc. learning to ride is fun. riding to keep speed under speed limit while fighting the weight of the bike, the wind, learning to use a clutch, understanding ur stopping distance with speed. and watching for cars is A lot of pressure on a new rider. not to mention that ur probly going to want to ride with friends who will force u to push ur bike. it's all not good for a first time rider to jump on any 600cc. but if u are, both r6 and zx6r are great bikes. I prefer the r6 though. it's all about ur preference. I have die hard ninja fans that swear that zx is #1. they are different but better??? it depends on rider experience skill.

      +Clorox Bleach hi kid. the r6 is no doubt a fun bike but it is going to feel really heavy and fast for u . I'm very experienced rider and I find it uncomfortable for me to operate at times. u don't want to to kill urself on the first bike u own. u will own many I'm sure, it's going to be hard for u to have fun on such a big starter bike. I always recommend a 250 cc or a 300cc for a first bike. work ur way up. the r3 is really fun bike, or honda grom. u want to make sure it's easy for u to ride. if u want a really fun bike. or if u want something extreme, get like a drz400sm. it's like riding a bicycle with a super engine. very fun! wheelies all day and u can drop it all u want

      +solosnail lol alright I'll check it out a friend of mine started on an r6 he seems to like his pretty well but I'll see if I can find a smaller bike or whatever around here the reason I was asking is because there's an r6 a few miles from my home that's for sale 3599$

      +solosnail actually I think I know where a r3 is its 300cc so it works
      It's gonna take me another year to save up for an r6 so should be plenty of time to learn to ride and get used to it?

    Damn I’m 300 lbs so it’s not good for me?

    • @solosnail
      @solosnail  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      At 300lbs I believe that u will not get the best performance on stock 600 suspension. I would recommend looking into suspension upgrades if you are looking to race around like I do. But for cruising around town I believe u should be fine. The r6 is a powerful 600cc motorcycle and capable of hauling 300 lbs with no issue.

      +N4RD1 I personally never got harassed and I do this to most my bikes. cops are usually cool with bikers for the most part. I always give an officer a salute as I pass them an they usually give me a nod to let me know they see me.

    Brace your self for all the Squids on liter bikes sooking about him buying a 600 when they can't even outrun a 250 through the twistes and none of them have been to the track. Sorry Squids but it's better to ride a slow bike fast than to ride a fast bike slow.

    • @solosnail
      @solosnail  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      if I ride a 250 I kill myself in the canyons. lol. my old 250 was so light, if I crashed at the speed I was doing canyons, bye bye me:/ now I take it to the track, and even at the track the r1 was way to fast. the r6 is way plenty fast enough. it can easily get away from u if u don't know what ur doing for sure.

    Good begginer bike?

    • @solosnail
      @solosnail  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      this bike pushes back when u try it. I recommend for beginners that they get a bike they can fully push the bike. u want to ride ur bike, not let the bike ride u. a bike pushes really fast, even the 300cc's or 500's and 650cc's. I recommend getting used to the power of the smaller bikes before u hop into ur dream bike. that way when u do get it, u can ride it to its fullest potential. even as an experienced rider i learn something new every time about when I take it to the track.

    • @solosnail
      @solosnail  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe a 600cc is all the power u need for the streets. this bike gets very aggressive when the rpms kick up. it can easily get away from you if your not careful. a smaller bike can do it to, but it's much more forgiving.

    • @vikrambharati2151
      @vikrambharati2151 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      solosnail thanks man. so i could get a 600cc, but just take it slow, and learn it?

    • @solosnail
      @solosnail  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Vikram Bharati you can, just make sure u educate yourself if u plan on riding for a long time. it's ur own responsibility to understand what happens with speed, and momentum with heavier bikes. understanding how to apply brakes plays the biggest role when riding. if u get an r6, learn to do endos before you learn wheelies. it's all I can recommend. just be safe, I don't like seeing people fail on bikes, it's never pretty. i still love the hell out of this bike and will not get rid of it anytime soon. the r6 is so sexy!
