Sonic Unleashed is the G.O.A.T., Sonic and the Black Knight is better than Secret Rings, you forgot to mention SEGASonic the Hedgehog, Sonic BOOM as a whole was doomed from the start, Sonic Chronicles should've been a console title developed by Sonic Team's Phantasy Star division, Silver needs a spin-off, Sonic Rush should get a 3D third installment, I wouldn't mind seeing a second attempt at Sonic Shuffle, SEGA Superstars Showdown should be a thing, should I keep going?

He's not an ex-Nintendo-exclusive like Metal Gear, MegaMan, Banjo Kazooie, and Final Fantasy, nor is he a third-party character from non-Nintendo consoles who started appearing on every Nintendo console since the GameCube, such as Sonic the Hedgehog, Shin Megami Tensei (or, more accurately, its spin-off, Persona), Beyonetta, Kingdom Hearts, Street Fighter, and Tekken. Nintendon't include characters exclusive to their rivals in their crossovers. Plus, Smash is likely over since the director retired the series about late last year.

I actually played sonic unleashed back in ps3 and it was a decent game. It added a little extra flair to the franchise with sonic turning into a werehog. As i started playing it really got good.
I just finished it today, and while some of the levels are a nuscaince (Looking at you Eggmanland), I really liked this game, especially that God-tier soundtrack
I personally love Sonic and the black knight, it teaches you that while every world has its end, we should still try to live life to the fullest with the time we have.
Sonic is a best newcomer character in Super Smash Bros Brawl along with Diddy Kong, Ike, King Dedede, Lucario, Lucas, Meta Knight, Olimar, Pit, Pokemon Trainer (Charizard/Ivysaur/Squirtle), R.O.B., Snake, Toon Link, Wario, Wolf and Zero Suit Samus.

YES!!!! I agree a sequel is needed. I loved this game. The story was weird but intriguing. But just having Sonic as an RPG was a dream I had since Super Mario RPG LotSS. I think every franchise should try RPGing itself. I love working with stat building and seeing their affects in gameplay.
I personally liked Sonic Chronicles x3 grinded the crap out of that game until I essentially maxed out the characters. And I liked Shade as a new character and the concept of the Nocturne, even if it was essentially Knuckles meeting Zod and his band of Echidnas.
The fact that Sonic Unleashed is on this list offended me. That’s my favorite game of all time. Mania is an embarrassment to me. Edit after watching the Unleashed part: thank you for not calling it bad and actually calling it a pretty awesome game.

Shadow's game wasn't really that weird, I mean, aside for the disjointed story, Shadow's characterization, the darker tone, aliens, and guns, it's just like any other 3D Sonic game

LOVED Sonic Unleashed. Black Knight was quite clunky but still fun enough (and it had a BRILLIANT soundtrack. "Molten Mine?" Orchestral rock perfection). And... I actually liked Sonic Chronicles. Yeah, it's super weird, but that's what made it fun for me to play.
I love how number one and number 10 both came out in 2008 only about a month apart from each other. yes I remember because I played both of those games when they were new. actually I played the Wii version of unleashed. that said I actually liked Sonic Chronicles at least at the time. although I haven't played the game in many years now. one thing that's really frustrating is that there's a big time cliffhanger ending in Sonic Chronicles and a sequel was never made to solve it. this is going to be a spoiler but since Sonic Chronicles actually takes place I think it's 5 years later and throughout the rest of the games the characters don't even age, that means Sonic Chronicles is the end of the Sonic timeline and since they never made a sequel and end with doctor or botnik taken over the world and actually winning unlike and Sonic forces when he took over the world and would end up losing

I remember picking up a digital copy of Sonic: The Fighters on my XB360, for like $2 - $3. Actually played a couple fights, but beyond that, haven't touched it, since.
Unleashed wasn't a weird game to me. It had great potential and was unique with Sonic the Hedgehog getting a taste of Zelda Twilight Princess' power via the Werehog though the Xbox 360/PS3 versions can be a bit frustrating hence the PS3/Xbox 360 Sonic Unleashed being on my top hardest video games of the 2000's while the Wii/PS2 versions is relatively easy throughout almost the entire game, Sonic & the Black Knight is also unique with Sonic the Hedgehog getting a taste of Zelda Ocarina of Time Elder Scrolls and Fire Emblem's gameplay power especially the latter in which many entries of that series stars a blue-haired male character while for Sonic Chronicles, I at first did find it weird for Sonic the Hedgehog taking on a Turn Based RPG styled gameplay but was enjoyable with the right timing of movements.

I honestly thought that the third installment of the Sonic Storybook Series would be 2011's Sonic And The Rampant Horrors, set in Stephen King's Maine.
None of these were weird. Considering they're all spin offs with the exception of unleashed. They're experimenting with different ideas that doesn't make it weird, sonic shuffle, everyone loves Mario party stick sonic on there do their own thing, sonic chronicles, rpgs are insanely popular and everyone loves the Mario rpgs. The education games? If you're a parent who knows your kid loves sonic but you want them to engage their brain their perfect choices. Different from the norm via spin offs doesn't automatically make it weird.
Honestly, I’m might get hate for this but I think Sonic and the Black Knight isn’t that bad it’s not the best. However, I rather play this than Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric because this game has at least has good story. Also, a problem that Sega has is that if an idea like Secret Rings is bad that just never do it again, I think that some off the spin off games Sega have made are aren’t all bad they just need to be reworked.
Sonic Chronicles is one of the weirdest games I ever played. Gameplay is dull compared to other RPGs, the sound design is god awful, and the plot sounds interesting but then completely flies off the rails in the second half.
For me sonic R is way more weird than sonic unleashed. Wtf sega was thinking to realese a no sense racing game than a original platform sonic game for saturn.
honestly think knuckles chaotix is the weirdest one especially with how metal sonic looked but love the chaotix & mighty. unleashed isn't really weird(though think the werehog should've been knuckles/shortened a bit with more set pieces.) and think riders/drift should've took it's spot as along with sa1/shadow in 2,heroes,the advance games,blaze/cream in rush,colors and black knight is my favorite sonic writing(just wish tails wasn't sidelined by chip/we saw more of eggman.),sonic the fighters i liked for it's style and music(would take it over battle as while that game outside amy was written well it dragged.),loved the comic's referenced cop car and liked it being the introduction of sonic & eggman's jp voices(surprised the popcorn machine wasn't on here though not gonna lie would love to try that popcorn as the curry flavor interest me.:3). would've loved the storybook series to continue to other fables as black knight had good writing(outside shahra/the music secret rings was horrible.) and didn't think the controls were bad compared to other wii games,chronicles was pretty much the only time the archie comics will be acknowledged by the games(and apparently parts of it are still canon.) though would love another sonic rpg(if anything have that be the crossover with mario instead of the outside a few titles weak olympic stuff.) schoolhouse looks like a jumpstart/reader rabbit game that guest starred sonic,boom was weird in that it tried to be a tie to the cartoon(which was the only good thing to come out of the boom series/recent sonic outside the movie,nekotoon shorts,30th anniversary symphony/sega's 60th anniversary,comics to an extent & mania.) but felt like the modern series just with weird designs even if i like them(and had my favorite version of amy since sa1/heroes & tails outside sa1/colors/the movie.:3). shuffle had worse animations than sa1/felt like a nights clone with it's story and while probably odd to say would love another tails adventure style game(actually remember a rumor skypatrol was originally going to be a mickey mouse game which would explain outside tails it not feeling sonic like at all.) as i like it's what tails was doing before he met sonic in the jp canon.
Mojo I know your watching this no matter what you say Sonic 06 will always exist and I like the game despite it's flaws and leave Sonic alone you bash him enough after going though an identity issue that was caused by Sega and not the games themselves so leave him out of this! 💙😡
Sonic boom rise of lyric and Sonic forces are worst than Sonic 06 I can still play Sonic 06 while Sonic boom rise of lyric is an unplayable mess of a game and Sonic forces is really bland and boring to play.

Sonic 06 isn't a Bad Game,just Misunderstood and Mistreated,Rise of Lyric,Lost World,and Forces however those Failures are Another Story.

Sonic Chronicles is one of the weirdest games I ever played. Gameplay is dull compared to other RPGs, the sound design is god awful, and the plot sounds interesting but then completely flies off the rails in the second half.
"bad" and "weird" are two different things. I don't think this game is neither bad or weird though.

Idk, making an on-foot racing game based on a character who runs fast kinda make sense to me.

honestly think knuckles chaotix is the weirdest one especially with how metal sonic looked but love the chaotix & mighty.
unleashed isn't really weird(though think the werehog should've been knuckles/shortened a bit with more set pieces.) and think riders/drift should've took it's spot as along with sa1/shadow in 2,heroes,the advance games,blaze/cream in rush,colors and black knight is my favorite sonic writing(just wish tails wasn't sidelined by chip/we saw more of eggman.),sonic the fighters i liked for it's style and music(would take it over battle as while that game outside amy was written well it dragged.),loved the comic's referenced cop car and liked it being the introduction of sonic & eggman's jp voices(surprised the popcorn machine wasn't on here though not gonna lie would love to try that popcorn as the curry flavor interest me.:3).
would've loved the storybook series to continue to other fables as black knight had good writing(outside shahra/the music secret rings was horrible.) and didn't think the controls were bad compared to other wii games,chronicles was pretty much the only time the archie comics will be acknowledged by the games(and apparently parts of it are still canon.) though would love another sonic rpg(if anything have that be the crossover with mario instead of the outside a few titles weak olympic stuff.)
schoolhouse looks like a jumpstart/reader rabbit game that guest starred sonic,boom was weird in that it tried to be a tie to the cartoon(which was the only good thing to come out of the boom series/recent sonic outside the movie,nekotoon shorts,30th anniversary symphony/sega's 60th anniversary,comics to an extent & mania.) but felt like the modern series just with weird designs even if i like them(and had my favorite version of amy since sa1/heroes & tails outside sa1/colors/the movie.:3).
shuffle had worse animations than sa1/felt like a nights clone with it's story and while probably odd to say would love another tails adventure style game(actually remember a rumor skypatrol was originally going to be a mickey mouse game which would explain outside tails it not feeling sonic like at all.) as i like it's what tails was doing before he met sonic in the jp canon.

Mojo I know your watching this no matter what you say Sonic 06 will always exist and I like the game despite it's flaws and leave Sonic alone you bash him enough after going though an identity issue that was caused by Sega and not the games themselves so leave him out of this! 💙😡
Sonic boom rise of lyric and Sonic forces are worst than Sonic 06 I can still play Sonic 06 while Sonic boom rise of lyric is an unplayable mess of a game and Sonic forces is really bland and boring to play.
