Perhaps when the prologue to The Tenth Planet novelisation refers to the race of humans on Telos seeking immortality and exploring Cybernetics it could be meaning that human Mondasians colonised Telos or had some sort of secret research and development laboratory there and then abandoned it and returned to Mondas. Later Cybermen rediscovered this lost outpost and set up their Empire there… anyway it’s a way to make sense of the contradictions.
I just thought - if the Attack of the Cyberman author and/or designer had made the Cryons 3 fingered, it would add such a nice bit of continuity for fans without it ever needing referenced onscreen! It would explain why the Mondas and Invasion Cyberman were typical human 4 fingers + a thumb, where the Moonbase and Tomb Cyberman had 3 fingers and a thumb! Have always wanted to write a Cyberman story where some of the characters are aliens with 3 fingered hands, etc and when converted that’s how one still human/organic character realizes with horror she is talking to her converted friend/love by the hands with 3 silver fingered gloves! A moment of horror and pathos and just needs done on screen, hope RTD reads this and incorporates it!

I'd love to see the history of Mondas explored more, why it broke orbit, where else they went with their propulsion unit
