Felicity might have been a placeholder name, there were internal plans to introduce a new companion for the presumably Sixth Doctor in case Nicola Bryant decided to leave the series by the time the script would be greenlit, Felicity might have been the alternate name of Tegan, Nyssa or maybe even Romania II during production, the writer decided to create a new character or the name’s from a production bible we don’t know about.

I call the comic Cybermen "Old Mondasian Cybermen" and the audio Cybermen "New Mondasian Cybermen" because the comic happened much earlier than audio.

The Fifth Doctor turns up on Mondas, his companion foolishly plays around in the TARDIS causing problems with Mondasian friends she's made, the Doctor's biology is used by a Cyber-inventor to create a perfect conversion process, there's a woman who retains her personality after conversion, the Cybermen are defeated but manage to seize control of Mondas as it hurtles crazily off into space...
There's actually more in common between Genesis of the Cybermen and Spare Parts, isn't there?

It’s interesting how Genesis and Spare Parts despite covering the same subject goes about in opposite ways of each other. The former’s about the monarchy while the letter’s about the working class.

the zero device could be why the Zero rooms are called Zero rooms as they power them giving the Time Lords a way to heal from their regenerations.

Loved the pause at 11:45, worked so well with the image used.

You're the talented gift that keeps on giving! Doctor Who history is like Greek Legend you don't know if it really happened or not but it's written about and then rewritten about.

I love doctor who, this was a surprise i originally thought we were going to talk about the world shapers comic mainly because one of the princes crown looked like a time lord skull cap but this is very interesting and maybe it could of happened it’s definitely not my favourite origin story for the cybermen but I do think it’s very interesting and has very weird ideas

I was excited when you got to talking about this story concept because I thought it meant finally covering all of the Mondas origins. Turns out there is yet another take in an old 80s FASA Doctor Who Roleplaying Game sourcebook published in 1986. The book is just called “The Cybermen” (confusing considering the David Banks book of a similar name published 2 years later) and it’s the most obscure take on Mondas, considering Spare Parts is considered the definitive one and even the others you’ve covered are better known. It features giant prehistoric beasts, invading aliens, political power struggles, and a renegade time lord who isn’t any of the ones from TV. It’s a strange take worth a look, even if it’s just for your entertainment and not for a video!

not huge fan of chibnal. mainly cause he just offed gallifrey like it was nothing. you get invested in a story line and he just took a dump on it

Yeah we had just had a whole doctors arc basically about saving, finding & reconnecting with the planet for them to go like oh well we need a way to make the master have some reason for his um. Why did they do that so it was more shocking like Oh no Gallifrey we hardly knew it, oh no the doctor is more powerful. Ugh I doubt it will be retconned but I do hope that the thing isn't permanent. Like maybe the master only destroyed that one city & the rest of the planet is fine? Also how'd he destroy it not even magic sith Saxon Master could do it so how did the Spy Master do it? Like Rassilon & other timelords would have stopped him quite easily he isn't that deadly. Maybe Big Finish will explain that because that story sounds more intresting than the Timeless children.

Everything happened and didn't happen. Just depends on where you're looking on when, then.

The sylvans might have become elves in nordic countries, in ireland the fae and so on if this were televised or at least that's the implications.
Edit: One sneeze during proof reading is all it takes to post before any edits made.
