She looks even taller next to Emppu (guitar), he is only 5'3" Yes ,Marko can sing. He sings backing or co-lead on a lot of songs. And lead on a few, including The Islander and their cover/tribute of Pink Floyd's High Hopes. Unfortunately , he decided to leave the band early last year for personal reasons. He was lead singer of a band called Tarot before he joined Nightwish, and released a solo album in 2020. Romanticide and Ghost River from this show will give you more of Marko.
He has also performed many times as a guest singer with Charlotte Wessels, formerly of Delain. The past couple of months he has appeared with the supergroup he has been associated with called Northern Kings.

In the early 80's Marko and his brother created a band which was renamed to "Tarot" in 1984. In Tarot Marko was the lead singer (as well as bass) until about 2003 (I believe) at which point someone else took over singing while he still was bass. He stuck with that band even while he was with Nightwish. So, he is a legitimate lead singer. He is quite capable. And I think you will really enjoy not only hearing those songs in which he does more singing, but those few songs where he takes the lead. 3 good songs where Marko takes the lead are; - While your lips are still red - The Islander - High Hopes (a Pink Floyd cover)
Ha! I'm first, lol. As for Ever Dream, this is the hardest song for Floor to sing (according to Floor herself). And about the song, if I had to pick my favorite love song, Ever Dream would be it -- because I've never heard a better musical expression of what love is emotionally. And especially with the bridge, where it's just Floor and Jukka on drums. Floor sounds so desperate, Jukka sounds so frantic, that it fits the chaos of the emotion of love.

About Floors elve-ears, you should watch Beste Zangers where Henk Poort sings Sound Of Silence to her, not the Simon And Garfunkel version but the Disturbed version, Floor was so excited that here ears became visible and it looked a bit like elve-ears.
I think it's because they are so spot-on perfect all the time that it's kind of nice when one of them misses a cue or forgets a line. Or when Floor dragged herself off the floor to perform while sick and you could hear her struggling early on to hit her notes. It's a nice reminder that a) they are human and b) they are so good that you have to hunt for those moments!

Welcome back to your Nightwish journey. Yes, Marko is an accomplished singer in his own right. He sings backup, harmonies, duets and even lead on some songs with Nightwish. He also won the Finnish version of The Masked Singer TV show in 2020. Unfortunately, he decided to stepped away from the band coming out of the pandemic lockdown in January. You should check out some of his songs eventually. I suggest Romanticide from this show as the next song. One of their more “metal” song, dark and heavy. Marko does some singing in it too. Just to add my two cents to the measurement science on here, I saw Nightwish play at a small venue in New York recently ... I was only a few feet from the stage, and I can vouch that Floor is absolutely freaking enormously tall! She sounds decent too :)
She actually does have elf ears :) She's like a crazy combination of Elf, Viking, Valkyrie, Siren and Warrior. She's also a doting Wife, Mother, Daughter and Sister who's very humble and gentle when she's not windmilling and winding a crowd of 1000s into a frenzy. Floor really is like a mythical creature :)

As you like Marko Hietala, there's obviously Phantom but his own work is good too Pyre of the Black Heart album perhaps, Stones or Song of my Father in original language or in English are both good.
Floor is pitch perfect. Something that is a rare commodity in pop music today. In the last couple decades recording studios are often forced to use pitch correction software “Autotune” because “performers” can’t actually sing that well (but their young, attractive, can dance and put on a great show. In the previous decades singers used to actually have to be great singers. Many of the “singers” we have today simply would not have been tolerated on their actual singing ability a few decades ago.

Btw. there are other awesome Symphonic metal bands: my favourites are Epica (just went to their 20th anniversary show), within Temptation, Delain and then Sabaton for history, but the most impressive new band, 3 sisters from Monterey Mexixo - the best bet for the future of Rock: The Warning
Floor early on said this was one of the hardest songs for her to sing although recently she has also said Shoemaker from their latest album, Human Nature, would be really hard to sing live but she has been nailing it most of the time ( she messed up the lyrics in Bucharest, th-cam.com/video/AZoB5FgCzNI/w-d-xo.html, proving she is human). This is also a song that Tarja sings beautifully as well and you should checkout her performance from the End of an Era show.
I would add Phantom of the Opera with Tarja and Ave Maria with Floor plus The Voice of my Father with Tarot and Master Passion Greed with NW to the Marco songs already listed by others

Now you got a little taste of what's coming up in the 3rd era of Nightwish, from 2012 to 2021. In these older songs the duet sections were more back and forth styled, even in Ever Dream there's like only a somewhat accidental overlap resulting in a harmony in the final chorus. When you get to their newer stuff their harmonies become more of a foundation type element. As to what song to react to next... Continuing with the Wacken 2013 concert is fine. Jumping to other concerts is fine too, it's not really that critical what you choose in my opinion. Probably my biggest highlight from the whole Wacken 2013 concert is Song of Myself, but I'd choose a few more of the other songs from that concert before tackling that one, just to keep up the tension a bit.
Floor is 6ft 1in and as been called a shield maden/ valkyrie /goddess of war she is probably 1 of if not the best vocalists in metal history from ian gillan of deep purple to rob HALFORD of judas priest bruce dickenson of iron maiden deo/ calue from scorpions

Just to add my two cents to the measurement science on here, I saw Nightwish play at a small venue in New York recently ... I was only a few feet from the stage, and I can vouch that Floor is absolutely freaking enormously tall! She sounds decent too :)

Floor is pitch perfect. Something that is a rare commodity in pop music today. In the last couple decades recording studios are often forced to use pitch correction software “Autotune” because “performers” can’t actually sing that well (but their young, attractive, can dance and put on a great show. In the previous decades singers used to actually have to be great singers. Many of the “singers” we have today simply would not have been tolerated on their actual singing ability a few decades ago.

Floor early on said this was one of the hardest songs for her to sing although recently she has also said Shoemaker from their latest album, Human Nature, would be really hard to sing live but she has been nailing it most of the time ( she messed up the lyrics in Bucharest, th-cam.com/video/AZoB5FgCzNI/w-d-xo.html, proving she is human). This is also a song that Tarja sings beautifully as well and you should checkout her performance from the End of an Era show.

Now you got a little taste of what's coming up in the 3rd era of Nightwish, from 2012 to 2021. In these older songs the duet sections were more back and forth styled, even in Ever Dream there's like only a somewhat accidental overlap resulting in a harmony in the final chorus. When you get to their newer stuff their harmonies become more of a foundation type element. As to what song to react to next... Continuing with the Wacken 2013 concert is fine. Jumping to other concerts is fine too, it's not really that critical what you choose in my opinion. Probably my biggest highlight from the whole Wacken 2013 concert is Song of Myself, but I'd choose a few more of the other songs from that concert before tackling that one, just to keep up the tension a bit.
