piggybacking over the fact that this comment has any number of likes to say that i fully agree that in pyrrha’s death i realized the strength of her character. she was the best fighter, basically a celebrity, but she found her joy in her friends, her team.. but she knew she had to do whatever she could to save the world. she knew she had no chance, but she had to keep fighting. i gained so much more respect for her character in her death.

This is why whenever there is a hated character from the start (whether they are annoying or bratty or rude), I always pay attention to them the most due to them being the type of character with the best potential for character development or backstory.
Fun facts!: They are still following Montys outline for the show to this day, they have hinted that Montys outline could span up to 14 seasons. They just fill in the details. The line “your star is still in the sky” in Cold is a reference to a fan that paid to name a star after Monty (I think it was before he passed) and sent the certificate to Roosterteeth where they still have it hanging in their animation office to this day.

I feel like everyone always underestimate Romans abilities because his big picture role was minor. That man was 2v1ing Sun and Blake and winning. At the time in the show Sun and Blake were among the top fighters we had on the protagonist's side. He only dipped because Penny rolled up and obliterated his entire air support. And we're talking full gunchuck sun here.

Sometimes you thought the same things I did when the volume released and I'm impressed how you often ask just the right questions :D My favorite character was and still is Pyrrha and since volume three I really love Weiss as well, especially hearing her songs. And yes, I felt the same about Torchwick and his death. I really enjoyed him as a villain :'D

i think i noticed the biggest change in casey's voice in the volume 5 opening. I remember a lot of reactors being like oh my god is that CASEY??? also a big saying of Monty's was 'Keep moving forward', which is a tribute in many RWBY songs, including Cold.
While in current volumes there is little chance of Sun coming bad into the fray, I am really excited to see what they do with Sun next time we see him.

My favorite way to compare Volume 1 Weiss and Volume 3 Weiss is Volume 1 Weiss would NOT have sacrificed herself for a Faunus. And Volume 3 Weiss, she had no idea if her summon would actually work and was just FULLY ready to sacrifice herself for Velvet.
I never understood why Weiss talked about fairy stories and ghosts. But it make sense when she compare it to beliving in herself and is so sad. Because we can see her low confidence in herself since, what are fairies stories and ghosts? things that are believed to not exist but still some people do anyway. She might not think she can do it like she is lying to herself like believing in stories that doesn't exist but she recognized that if she was able she could do a lot of things so she is like "fake it until you make it".
I didn't want to say anything about Weiss being my favorite in Volume 1, because even just you knowing that spoils at least some kind of character growth, and I just didn't want to do that to you. But yes, Weiss is by far my favorite.

when you were talking about the emotional abuse it was a lot worse than that, she mentioned in volume 1 when she was talking to blake “he would come home furious and well that made for a very difficult childhood” (or something similar to that) but she was talking about both verbal AND physical abuse.
I always have the feeling he did. And it make sense he will do ANYTHING to feel control, and for her to leave Yang and Ruby when they were hurt like that only because he came for her, I things she must have been terrified and for a Huntress in training who is fighting death itself to be terrified of a simple business man who at worst could be kill in a second. He must have done something.
Personally I think sun and Blake are an amazing couple, in Argus limited it’s quite obvious they both have those sorts of feelings she even kisses him on the cheek. It’s also clear that both Blake and yang prefer boys although they may be bi they are shown being more interested in guys than girls. From experience with my girlfriend she’s done everything Blake has done to yang with her own best friend. Sometimes it’s something girls do and it’s not good to assume. Obviously they love each other but in a more really deep romantic way most likely not. Girls are simply more open about that sort of thing with their friends and honestly I can’t wait to see her with sun again. Or maybe I’m totally wrong and poor sun will get cucked by yang who knows

My favorite way to compare Volume 1 Weiss and Volume 3 Weiss is Volume 1 Weiss would NOT have sacrificed herself for a Faunus. And Volume 3 Weiss, she had no idea if her summon would actually work and was just FULLY ready to sacrifice herself for Velvet.
I never understood why Weiss talked about fairy stories and ghosts. But it make sense when she compare it to beliving in herself and is so sad. Because we can see her low confidence in herself since, what are fairies stories and ghosts? things that are believed to not exist but still some people do anyway. She might not think she can do it like she is lying to herself like believing in stories that doesn't exist but she recognized that if she was able she could do a lot of things so she is like "fake it until you make it".

I always have the feeling he did. And it make sense he will do ANYTHING to feel control, and for her to leave Yang and Ruby when they were hurt like that only because he came for her, I things she must have been terrified and for a Huntress in training who is fighting death itself to be terrified of a simple business man who at worst could be kill in a second. He must have done something.

Personally I think sun and Blake are an amazing couple, in Argus limited it’s quite obvious they both have those sorts of feelings she even kisses him on the cheek. It’s also clear that both Blake and yang prefer boys although they may be bi they are shown being more interested in guys than girls. From experience with my girlfriend she’s done everything Blake has done to yang with her own best friend. Sometimes it’s something girls do and it’s not good to assume. Obviously they love each other but in a more really deep romantic way most likely not. Girls are simply more open about that sort of thing with their friends and honestly I can’t wait to see her with sun again. Or maybe I’m totally wrong and poor sun will get cucked by yang who knows
