Phly can you please make a 2 minute intro on the controls that you use for playing. I think it would be especially useful for vehicles with weird weapon systems (Day 14)
This old RAF man worked on a squadron that used the Buccaneer S2B in the anti-shipping and penetration role, using the same interesting weapon for both, and while the crews practised low-level bombing on sea and land targets, their actual war role required a high-speed low or medium level approach and a long-range loft-bombing profile. This high-level level-bombing in the video was possible, but much less exciting than making a near-sonic approach, pulling up and releasing a ballistic 'special weapon' onto an entire fleet of targets while their radar operators tried to set up a missile shot. The 'Buck' was quite capable of rolling over, descending onto an evasive exit (still near-sonic) while other planes did the same from other points of the compass. - and all at a comfortable range, too. Shame we didn't keep the aircraft carriers that would have permitted this anywhere in the world, rather than from land bases in the commonwealth. ;-)
Yeah, sadly we couldn't use this to wage imperialist wars as effectively as we could have. Just think of how many innocent brown people we could've killed with these puppies on some carriers ;(
So, bear with me, the Blackburn Buccaneer was introduced after the Bristol aircraft company stopped making planes. Bristol used to try and always give their planes a 'B' name, sometimes stretching a bit to come up with one, like the Beaufighter and the Buckmaster. Hehe, Buckmaster. Still bearing? Good. Blackburn tended to go with birds, particularly seabirds, and only occasionally managed to sneak in a 'B', like the Blackburn Baffin. As soon as Bristol goes out of business, Blackburn comes screaming in with a new jet. "It's called the Buccaneer! It starts with a B and -it's not a seabird-! Take that, Bristol! Where do you keep your buccaneers? Underneath your buccan hat! Woo!" This is my theory. Sidenote, I think it'd be cool if we could get the Blackburn Skua in game. Anyhoo. Day 50: Take the Scimitar, the last Supermarine, out for a spin. Maybe don't even blow things up, even though you've got quad 30mm, 24 chances to find out if British AP rockets actually do anything, assorted other armaments. Maybe just fly around and have a good time.
Hey phly, little strategy I’ve been using is the squad spotting on an enemy before I call arty on them. My hit rate with arty had gone up a lot. I would always call it short.
@@leonardo2a935 you have to set as keybind for "set mark for squad" then when you press your set button a mark will appear both visibly and on the map. Only visible to you and you squad mates. However you can use it for calling arty much more accurately if you drop your arty right on the mark. Hope this helps and best of luck tanking :)
also, depending on the situation Ill place the artillery a little behind them, so then they naturally back up to avoid the arty, but end up driving directly into it
Glad to see that War Thunder is having such fun modeling clouds. In the first mission, they had a couple of "baby" thunderheads, with the column of cloud topped by horizontal clouds. In the last mission, they had interesting dark cumulus clouds up high, even though you were the only player who was high enough to enjoy them.
War Thunder content has been really good and consistent lately! But it would also be cool if you used your review demo copy of Gunner Heat PC and made one on it too!

I doubt it, but I wonder if we'll ever see the YF-12 in War Thunder. Designed from the A-12 just like the SR-71, it was the largest, heaviest and fastest armed interceptor ever made... even if only 3 were ever made and no funds were released for its planned production run.

I wanted to ask what in your opinion is the best nation, maybe not for the start, and generally the most interesting to play, focusing more on tanks, not airplanes, because I started collecting exp for the USSR, tanks and I have reached the third era and I do not know whether to continue collecting experience in this line or change for a test to some other?
I've had a stutter/stammer for about 10 years now, and my friends have always referred to it as "having a bad connection to the server" The funniest thing about it is that it doesn't stammer whenever I cuss, so It'll sound like "An- An- An- An- An- An- An- An- An- GODDAMNIT"
I find it funny that 7km (Approx 22,000ft) is high alt in WT. Aircraft like the cat, 15E, or basically any other large fighter are perfectly content chilling at 30k+. And often do for BVR. Even B-29s during WW2 were basically always in the 18k ft+ range. Whereas in WT they rarely pass 10,000
They don't need to be dropped like a bomber Phly, you need to open your bomb bay before hand so they insta drop. You are getting rusty from all the time Phlying tanks 🙃

now if only artillery did anything at all. i just called arti right on top of a waffletractor with the smallest circle possible and only got a hit

12x12 was one of the first multiplications I leaned because it was the largest on the times table too.
That first landingg was soo satisfying...Just awesome.

i haven't figured out where the setting for not auto leveling when you change to bomber view. Also pre opening your bomb bay helps.
I like playing Britain cuz they have high-pen rounds and stab, but the survivability is extremely low and the repair cost is extremely high.
I too enjoy a good 12x12 multiplication but there's something divine about 11x11 equaling 121, perfect symmetry in numbers 1+(1+1)+1
A flooded village/city island map with airspawns and main land airfields would be a cool map for tank rb

Yeah, the altitude cap for WT is 10km except in the case of EC size maps which is somewhere higher so you can actually go Mach 2

Buccaneer, excellent at tree-level and at satellite-level, but a bit of a risk at standard bomb level.
Tree level is high altitude for the bucc.

Have one of your friends call out target area and inform team to clear out and another in support (escort, AA or scout protection etc).
I use my HE 111 climb at 10000m in arcade game bombing bases and airfield.
I can barely get pass 8000m in my B-17E.
