Speaking of hidden gems, every D4Y and the B7A2 is severely underrated in air RB. You are very fast and agile in these planes even compared to fighters at their BR. You are basically playing a fighter with a bomber spawn and dive bomber bomb load and the B7A2 has 20mms making it a faster SB2C. The only disadvantage is they are weak and the D4Ys have only 2 7mm as primary armament.
Dude, I LOVE the B7A2! It's so good. I never really take it out on ARB but in GRB it's a beast. It even has a bomb sight which is great for those pesky SPAA who don't realise you just dropped an 800kg on them from 2k alt hahaha :P
@@Chad_Thundernuts I use it too (in air RB), and I can confirm it is an absolute monster. You can get far above the entire enemy team and just turn your engine off and dive on unsuspecting fighters. It retains its energy very well, and out-turns 90% of the fighters.
Question about ground RB: Is the 2 x 250 kg + 4 x 50 kg load viable? I've never brought it out into ground RB
@@MetaReplication Yeah that bombload is decent. You can even take out a full load of 50kgs and can be very precise with them if you dive bomb and use the air brakes.
I also like using it as a makeshift fighter sometimes in GRB, and the cannons are good enough for top down strikes on tanks, especially vs Germany at that BR.
Plus the high speed and good maneuverability are great for Anti-CAS duties. And even if anyone gets on your tail you can usually just speed away while blasting them with the rear 13mm haha.
Honestly my favorite thing about the Ki 21 is how ridiculous the turning radius is, it has no right turning as well as it does xD

I’ve flown this thing for so long, it’s practically invincible to its fighters of its br, it goes faster than the average fighter, it’s Japanese so it can turn on a dime, and it’s so strong I actually used to kamikaze into other bombers and survive the impact as a way of offense, this is arguably one of the strongest planes in the game and I love it

[The one where Francine and Roger are practicing a dance competition and they keep going "Roger/Francine... I actually have always loved this line of bombers.. the guns are wicked acurate, bombload ls ok, they are pretty fast and they are hardy.
Thank you SO much for using Japanese bombers. Not many people show love for it like you said.(mostly because they burn easily) It’s nice to see Japanese bombers actually doing things.

The Ki 21 was one of my favorite low tier bombers because of many little bombs it was a best in low tier air rb never tried it in ground battles

Imma tell a kitsune war story.
So, I was (not EXACTLY) today years old when I hopped into naval arcade battles on Japan's side. My IJN Mutsuki got shot down, so I nabbed the bomber spot instead of using my reserve ship. I ended up being paired with the Ki-21 for the first time here, and just in the initial turning ability towards the battlefield impressed me. I turned to the same ship that had killed mine previously and dropped my two 500kg bombs down his deck, killing him. In the process though, most of the leading edge of my left wing and my vertical stabilizer were both shot off. I made it out of the combat zone without major engine damage, and all I could think of was. "Oh shit, imma end up hitting those islands I'm tryna fly over, since I can't turn" (without losing altitude and dipping my wing into the sea). Mind you, I had to tap the manual vertical stabilization gear just to keep the Ki-21 from taking a dip in the entire time.. Miraculously, I flew juuuuuuuust over the islands, turned around on my stronger wing once I had gained enough altitude, and had the wise idea to go for another bombing run. My 500kgs restocked just as I entered the battlefield, and I had my target. Still tapping the manual horizontal stabilization and under heavy surface AA fire, my left engine was shot and caught fire, which sent me turning left further. At the same moment, I dropped my bombs on the nearest destroyer and, since I knew I would crash anyways, tried to kamikaze the little PT boat behind him (scare the child, yes). I again successfully sent a bomb down the destroyer's throat, killing it, but missed the little boat (lucky batstard!) And crashed in front of my enemy's dead ship body. The Ki-21 will forever be the best bomber in its class guys, no matter what.
