      In the United States, in motorsports, the terms are used interchangeably. Which is why engines are mounted in cars with motor mounts, why people say what kind of engine or motor or mill or a variety of other terms. Its not a big issue. If it is, well I feel bad for u.

      You are so right. I bought a gearless hub motor. A 1000 watt 48 volt. came with controller, brake levers. About 400 bucks Canadian! I pulled apart the controller, had 60 volt capacitors, so I upvolted the battery to 52 Volts for extra power and range. It goes about 50 MPH.
      The only problem is it weighs about 20 LBs Is A 20 Ah 52 volt, at max charge is just under 60 volts. Just about 600 dollars Canadian.
      I mounted it on the rear rack that throws of the centre of gravity.
      I need to come up with a way to mount it as a down tube so I dont keep dumping the thing on me when mounting it.

    What I don't like of some of the Wheel Hub motors are the ones fitted for 700cc or less than 2 inches wide no matter wheel size. It is the extreme speed of pressure which puts a lot of stress on skinny tires when riding over 24mph and up. The Standard width is 3 to 4 inches wide fat tires as the 2 inches to 2.25 is minimal width. Anything less is too be narrow of handling and facing high pressure from speed to terrain.

    • @user619tlsdca5
      @user619tlsdca5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I ride with 2.1 to 2.25 wide 26inch tires of speeds at 40mph tops. What I notice of my tires of front are always getting deflated to a point they do lose contain after a while. I've learned of e bikes over 500 watts all need a standard of the heavy duty tube tires besides a tougher tire. Even a tire Guard strap should be included on f a standard. Those Euro , Sur Ron,vtypes of e bikes are the standard but expensive. For US low budget riders of lower end e bikes, we must add or change out certain parts and the tires is s always the start due to getting deflated tires at a constant.

    All these bikes are two wheelers. Any recomendations for an adult trike? I'd like to keep the ability to pedal.

    Should stay away from front hub motor kits, it's really sketchy to pull the entire weight of the bike plus the rider from the dropouts of the front fork. Could even destroy the head tub. If something fails it could be catastrophic.

    So I have bought an e-bike cargo bike from Rad Power Bikes. What I like is that I can get off the road faster, therefore there is less likelihood that I will get run over by a car. Where normally I might have to ride my bicycle at ten or 15 mph uphill, I can maintain 20 mph, meaning less time on the road with cars. This bicycle also has a crumple zone in the rear. If i can find other people who want to ride, I can offer motor pacing as I have the Conestoga wagon setup. I do have a 29er steel frame that I am thinking about a bunch of things with, thank you for your video!!!

    Mid drives are louder than hub motor to me. And hub motors are the choice for top speed as mid drives is for climbing hills

    Is the Bafang only a pedal assist? Or can it accelerate without pedaling as well
