Thank you so much for this video! I have a GE stackable washer and dryer, and I followed your video and did the complete installation myself, and it is working wonderfully.
Working for the same apartment complex for 28yrs and dealing with these, when it comes to the plank flooring cut yourself some small squares from the shipping box and place under all 4 feet and you have poor man’s magic glides. Slides with ease and you can leave under because when it comes times to repair 👨🔧 it slides right back out.
So if I'm using a 3 prong outlet then the neutral bond stays? Thank you so much for your video. I could not find anything even form GE that shows the electrical connection.
Hey there, I only found your video after I did that thing the technicians always get wrong. I failed to remove the bridge plate before I plugged it in and turned it on. It turned on the first time, but the second time it didn’t turn on. . I purchased a cord to replace the one I just installed, assuming I might have damaged the cord. Since I failed to remove the bridge plate, what did I fry? The cord itself? A fuse? Something else? Any assistance would be hugely appreciated!
Shouldn’t have fried anything ? I’ve seen these hooked up with that plate and operated for years. I would verify correct voltage at terminal block and start there
I just unloaded my laundry set and when In opened the washer to remove shipping material there was curved metal piece that was loose on the upper lip of the bin. what would this be from?
Now go to your. Electrical panel. Make sure your. Neutral and ground are not tied to the neutral buss. The ground should go to case grounding bar. The ground is not a current carrying conductor. Only in short circuit protection.
could you provide a link of where you got the powercord and the conduit clamp? Do the different color wires (ring terminals) come with the power cord, or is it bought separately or are they attached?
Don't remove the shipping rod until you arrive at the final destination. When there are tape fragments, use some of the glue on some good tape to remove them, just tap it repeatedly on the fragments and it will adhere to them. Ever heard of furniture sliding disks?
Thanks Philip. Furniture sliding disks or any other type of appliance / dolly slider is a strong no-go for me with stackables. a little soapy water is way faster and efficient in my experience 👍 :
Hi, i have a stacked w/d combo. I am replacing the transmission in it. When I removed the laundry basket from the tub i noticed that i can hear water or some liquid inside the plastic ring that is attached to the top of the laundry basket. I wondered if this is normal. I tried leaving it upside down for a week while waiting for the new transmission but nothing drained out of it. I want to know if i should drill a hole in the plastic ring to drain the water out.
Hi what size both fittings are? Gas and water? I am thinking to buy this one. I have Frigidaire combo now. So was wondering if I need new hoses or same can work? That's why I want to know fitting sizes. Thank you
Change the hoses every 5 years or per manufacturer recommendations. They are universal just make sure you are getting washing machine hoses, and dryer hose fittings if its gas. They are universal

Wow, very impressive. Good for you !
Does it come with the power cord or that is bought separately?
@@LanAndMilaneeds to be bought separately. i wish they told me before they delivered it to my house 🙄

Damn bro 28 years at one complex !?!?!?! I sure hope they are taking good care of you sir
Killer! You have a split window VW Bus!! ♥️♥️♥️
Is there two outlets required for this washer/dryer?

Yes
Is this just 1 power hookup, or does the washer require a 110 plug?
1 power hookup for electric 240V model.
Thanks for the video!. I installed my GE stackable washer and dryer, following your video, the dryer is not heating up, what could be wrong?

@@ApartmentMaintenancePro Thanks!
Planning to purchase a used one. Can it be transported on its side? Anything to watch out for?
As long as there is no compressor in the washing machine (heat pump) it’s fine to be transported on its side

Not sure, model ?
What awg wire does it come to the box where you plug the dryer??
Nothing on the electrical 👏👌👍 great rhumbnail btw

I believe that I just bought the same model, but the connections to attach the power cord are under. The washer wont spin. I am lost.

we have a three pronged outlet, is there anyway we can get the same outlet?
where is this combo made?
Thank you very much. This is what I exactly needed
Random question: are the hoses for the washer machine able to hook up to a normal sink ? If I add the right connectors ?
You need an adapter
So if I have a 3 plug outlet, I don’t have to mess w the link?
Correct
Wow how transport it and carry all by yourself, and the limit of it?
💪
What was the machines limit?
Thank you
God thanks! People are explaining this so badly in other videos
How many power cords?
Only 1
Only one? 220v ?
1 Cord, 240V.
Very cool, maybe smaller pliers can help with the hard to reach places but otherwise great vid👍🏿
What happens if you connected wrong ? Is there a reset to the GE
i had a brand new dryer installed today but hearing a consistent noise, sounds like somthing is clicking. What could be the reason?
Check if there’s a shipping rod still installed

I just found another video that answered my question.
There is supposed to be water inside the plastic ring.
Only with you i can do it! 😅 thanks!

Klien: you’ll need 1 in 11 months.
Why dont you clean the area up before putting it back in
Are you serious? People actually suggested you spray WD40 on the floor?? Unbelievable.
Convert to propane
remind the customers not to open lid of dryers and washer when running
You left out the gas installation :/
Very nice my friend 👏🏼
Thank you 🙏
The ground wire was not long enough because you put it in the wrong hole, try reading the manual.
