- Given your breeders are full blooded, at least 5 generations(ancestry) pure. Regardless which is the male or the female of the parents.
Common misconception of betta breeding is that the female is more dominant than the male. That is False. Genes distribution is always 50/50. It all depends on which trait is dominant or recessive of the parents are carrying.
85-95% accurate. Most likely these will be the results.

Thanks for the information. Everytime you look up anything on the net it immediately goes to how to breed bettas, nothing showing what to cross and the results. Tho one guy insists if you cross anything with a Veiltail you automatically get a Veiltail. Your vid indicates a Delta tail.
I have several veiltails and one halfmoon (tho reading more on it looks more like a rosetail or a feathertail but he swims fine) but it was bought as a Halfmoon. I believe somehow i also ended up with a spadetail, but was identified as a Veiltail.
I was looking at breeding my male Halfmoon (purple body/mustard colored fins with purple streaks at the very ends) and a female opaque/pink shimmer veiltail.. according to ur vid i see i should get a Delta tail. Is this correct?
I only have veiltail females. How might i breed to keep the spadetail, or what should i breed with? Hes a turquoise/blue looking "spadetail".

Veiltail is dominate, if you cross Veiltail to Halfmoon about 5 to 10 % may be Halfmoon or Deltas and the rest Veiltail, Veiltail are so common the are not even allowed in IBC shows.

my veil tail is extra large fins, has no spade shape, the female mate is a giant body with a flat blade plakat crown edges.. nether one identified in this video. I guess i'll have to wait and see on the growing babies...more than 100. She was never ending eggs.

there is a small chances that you will get a rosetail in breeding HM male and female. and a small chances to get feather tail when you breed Rosetail male and female

So and how to breed Dumbo? If I have delta dumbo male. I heard that female tail form is dominated, so if u want crowntail for example, u need to take female with this kind of tail. What do u think about it? And how to understand what type of tale have female betta, Delta, HM, etc.?
I’m not sure what you meant but anyway. Note that gene distribution is always 50/50. Depending on the dominant trait wether to the male or fem side would be stronger. And also the results in the video are given the parents are pure blooded(at least 5 gens) and are first crossbreeding(f1). With that. The results and principles are in the video..
That’s why dumbo crowntail is very hard to make because dumbo genes is recessive. You need 3 generations to make more dumbos in the offspring that will come out.

Yes single tail long fin.. it depends on your dthm used. If you are using low quality dthm that the split caudal fins does not overlap(just like the results of veil tail X dthm in the video) the most likely you’ll have a single tail delta/veil like caudal fin results.
