“Make sure your mesh isn’t damaged. Otherwise something might slip through” Hooooold up. Waaaait a minute. The mimics were separated by a CHAIN LINK FENCE. Which is what? MESH 😭😭😭
What do you think went through my mind first. As soon as I saw the mimics in the fence I was like "BRO IT'S A CHAIN FENCE THAT'S NOT GONNA STOP IT WHAT ARE YOU DOING" lol.
So I guess the implication is that there is either something memetic about mesh pattern that disrupts the neural link that the meats have, OR there is a physical "fear memory" within them, sorta like, "afraid of passing through mesh because meat will split and separate"? I think the former, but argument could be made for latter too.
I feel like the bits about sifting, and how you need to have multiple different layers of sifts to catch everything and to "make sure your mesh isn't damaged, or else something might slip through" is a metaphor for how the Carnis work, and why they are the way they are. The different species fill a variety of different predatory/scavenging niches. There are ones that specialize in small animals, big animals, carcasses, decomposed material underground, and specifically humans. Each species has a specialized role to play in making sure that every single possible source of flesh/organic material is being consumed, and that nothing can get away from them. Like specialized layers of a sift making sure nothing slips through the cracks.
Perhaps that suggests that the ultimate goal is a complete teraforming of the earth, though to what end, who knows. Problem would be if the vita carnis overconsume then they wouldn't have anything left to eat. Maybe the singularities are like the brains of the organism and all the vita carnis serve to completely subjugate life on earth. Maybe they go from planet to planet consuming all life and then leaving so populations may recover before repeating the cycle.
This is an amazing theory and it would be so cool to learn that the vita carnis was specifically made to filter out all life on planets, it would also explain the lengths mimics go through just to kill and eat specifically humans
i wonder how they get like that? for meatsnakes and mimics it's overeating, i'd assume it's similar for trimmings but from the trimming video, they eat less meat. don't they eat garbage? maybe a trimming in a landfill would become an elder.

Alright guys this is my theory: did you notice how from 9:57 to 10:01, you can see these two white dots alternating as everything glitches? those two dots stayed in the same location, which leads me to believe that it is not just glitch artifacts. They're eyes. Eyes of the mimic who escaped the facility at 6:48. Look at the video's thumbnail, and the eyes of the mimic are the same as the two white dots. I am speculating that since it is canon that vita carnis have a shared communication system with the singularity, I believe the singularity instructed the mimic to escape from its confines and hunt down the people experimenting on them. I also think the janitor could have been like a hotspot identification location, and its for the mimic to commit a massacre. By overcomsuming humans the mimic can evolve into an elder mimic, and could potentially be unstoppable by carcas.
4:31 Wait so you’re telling me the trimmings have an elder form like the mimics?! does that mean the Hosts, Harvesters, meat snakes and possibly even the monoliths can evolve to an elder form as well?! 😱
Love the idea of this science team trying to recreate the massive meat snake from the tunnel video. Very interesting seeing the trimming contest winner looking ominously like an elder mimic. Found a link to broken mesh from the education video and the mimic enclosures being mesh fences though I wonder how strong a mimic truly is if they haven't already tried ripping through their enclosures (chalking this one as "because of malnutrition" or "sneaky bois"). the person who got hurt (on a ladder presumably) I want to think a harvester has been slowly growing in that crawl in the V1 room. I love this series so far!
Holy shit it’s almost all practical!! That’s awesome!! Love this. No wonder it took as long as it did, this is my favorite horror project and I’m so excited to see it again❤
A reupload? Alrighty then. Time to leave another comment. SPOILERS BELOW!!!!! This was amazing. The effects are something else. I can't believe a lot this is done practically! The time and effort spent on this is amazing. Especially when it came to the Mimics in this one. That Mimic, man. That Mimic... It was also amazing to finally see a Singularity in action! That was wild to witness live! I'm so hyped for what may come in the future, and hopefully we'll get some more insight into what the Singularities do. Also, Magister is peak character design and I am obsessed with him for no reason.
The way the quality of this series just keeps getting better and better is amazing to watch. considering how this started I'm so happy to see where it's gotten to. Vita Carnis makes me happy.
Well since it got reposted I’ll comment it again we got to see an elder version of a trimming here which likely confirms every one of the Carnis have an elder version minus the singularity as we don’t know a lot about it and it already looks like it’s in a elder variant but also I really enjoy the part with the mimic here learning more about them and seeing them move around is awesome and I hope to see more of them and learning about their behaviors more
I understand why it takes so long to make one of these videos the amount of detail that you put into your work is amazing. Keep it up. You’re doing good.
absolutely LOVING the use of props in this series, keep it up!!! also the silly little bug walking made me giggle, I love it. waiting eagerly for the next installment in the series!!
Loving the lore being explained bit by bit, hope to see some more development! And if you're ever looking for a voice actor I would love to audition for any future roles!
I just love the way they make the tapes scary adding normal stuff and then scary stuff giving the brain a recent comparison from scary to not scary ultimately magnifying the scare factor
The Host not getting enough love tbh. Would love to see more of him, as he is my favorite. Loved the fact that we got a LOT of Mimic, since we never saw its body well.
We got an elder trimming, elder meat snake, and elder mimic, now all that’s left is what an elder harvester or elder host looks like (Patty still look adorable :D).
Well nutrire Co is presumably the reason the host got their food which is not much but enough to live. nutrire Co was the one who made the flavor enhancer which is implied to to the host spores
2nd theory the singularity is possibly wrapped the janitor when he was in a test chamber with a specimen and the specimen may have communicated with the singularity that he was there and the singularity took its chance and sent a signal (which can be seen by the red circled shadow it creates over time in 9:11 ) or controlled the crawl in the area to trap the janitor so medics could leave the door open so a outbreak can take place
I gotta say, the thing that got me really interested into this series was the use of actual real life props, and you've come such a long way with them! The meat snake and mimic props were FANTASTIC and I hope we see more of them in the future!
They made a meat snake depressed Remember to give your meat snake a pumpkin for enrichment! Everyone knows meat snakes need to move to property digest food or they get gassy!
I may be a little mentally insane for this theory, but I think that the Carnis species could be related to the seven deadly sins. The number seven repeats various times throughout the series such as the number of meatsnakes the ginormous one split into, the number of singularity’s, and the number of monoliths. Therefore, I believe each Carnis could be related to a deadly sin in a different way. I believe the easiest to determine were the meat snake and trimmings since their characteristics are very pronounced. The meat snakes would be gluttony since all they do is crawl around eating any dead thing they see, and the trimmings could be sloth since they just sit around and whine all day. The next I determined was the crawl as either greed or lust since it spreads outwards seeking more to make apart of it to make more Carnis. After that were the monoliths as wrath since they were shown to be hostile and attack if anyone approached. Then mimics as envy since they sort of take the human form and blend in; they could potentially have resentment towards the human species for being better, more advanced, or just generally hate them since they only eat humans. Lastly are harvesters as lust since they wrap around their prey to devour and Hosts as pride since the part about being like diseases instead of hosts at a party raised a flag for me. I believe that they may be pride since they make everyone come to them and kneel down to feasts on them instead of attacking humans like mimics. The order that I think I’m most right in is from the beginning (most) onwards (least). This finally brings us to the singularity’s which could represent god to the Carnis just as the creatures from the story thought about it the prince. I’m not sure whether the singularity’s are beings themselves or just portals. Thanks for reading and give me any thoughts you may have about this theory.
Oh. That's an evolved/elder trimming at 4:32 isn't it? That's...a worrisome prospect when one thinks on the fact that a mimic evolves and becomes an elder once its consumed enough human flesh. I'unno what to be more cautious of; an elder trimming or the one feeding it human flesh
7:21 I just realized that the bulge in the mattress is the mimic trying to hide. It’s hoping that they won’t notice it’s there and come into its cell in a panic to be eaten. It’s starving and it’s desperate. That’s terrifying.
That was excellent! It really scratched my itch for the mimic and helped add more mystery to that oh so lovely meat snake. The last part has good sound design, too. Altogether great. Keep em coming, Darian!
The way you shot that minic prop was super well done. I have to admit I was worried about how the prop would look from the progress shots but you didn't let us look at it for too long so it really worked.
I’m gonna guess that this is metaphorical “slipping through”. In the next scene a guy has his leg assimilated because he wasn’t careful enough with procedure. I’d sure call that something “slipping through” when it comes to safety protocols. Edit: second theory is a little later in the timed comments on this video. The theory is that the singularity caused a disruption by ordering the crawl to tear apart and assimilate the janitor. While it did this, other Carnis would have a chance to escape and/or cause an outbreak within the facility.
Maybe its one of the mimics escaping their mesh enclosure, but im sure its more like a sealed room with the mesh for viewing inside better so it would still be safe
10:00 this scene reminded me of the Devil core which was originally made to fuel another atomic bomb if the two did not suffice, and how the scientists working with it were so careless with it...
Cool to see them name rename the mimics after the dnd creatures. Really cool tiny piece of world building. Especially when being heard by a dnd nerd lol
Elder Trimming moment. 4:32 Now that we’ve got another elder, I fear the arrival of elder monoliths, harvesters, and hosts of influence. Horrifying stuff. We’ve seen other elders of Vita Carnis (Meat Snake, Mimic, and now trimming), but we’re bound to see the rest eventually. Also, it seems that incredibly successful feeding is the only way vita carnis become elders, so what the heck did they feed Patty to make them become an elder trimming? I assume the other contestants trimmings were well fed, but they look normal and slightly above average. Scary implications methinks. Hypothetically, I imagine crawl and singularities could have elder forms as well, but I don’t really know how.

I imagine most meatsnakes usually perform mitosis before reaching an "adult" status, the giant one in the tunnel being an exception.

I love how into it the second guy is when talking about mimic’s. Hopefully we see more of him soon.
Agreed that mimic prop for the autopsy part was phenomenal
I love the world building in this series! The humanoid mimic was so unnerving!
The way the quality of this series just keeps getting better and better is amazing to watch. considering how this started I'm so happy to see where it's gotten to. Vita Carnis makes me happy.
Well since it got reposted I’ll comment it again we got to see an elder version of a trimming here which likely confirms every one of the Carnis have an elder version minus the singularity as we don’t know a lot about it and it already looks like it’s in a elder variant but also I really enjoy the part with the mimic here learning more about them and seeing them move around is awesome and I hope to see more of them and learning about their behaviors more
Oh god what would the elder monolith be then
@@opticbr8dwnElder host too
Watch the elder singularity literally just be the prince and his family
This is the best analog horror to date. I have not much to add but I want the algorithm to know that I dig it.
6:14 omfg thats horrific but amazing at the same time! You’ve done it agin Darian! A job well done by you and your team ❤
I was literally watching the OG before it got taken down 😭😭
Me too. I took a break for dinner and suddenly there's a new video. Only OGs remember the original comments.
@@kze24 All the fun speculation ideas are gone 😔
The OG? Why did it get taken down?
@@redacculousdarian reuploaded it to fix some quality issues i some scenes
What scenes got changed
I understand why it takes so long to make one of these videos the amount of detail that you put into your work is amazing. Keep it up. You’re doing good.
The funny meat is really meating
For real
absolutely LOVING the use of props in this series, keep it up!!! also the silly little bug walking made me giggle, I love it. waiting eagerly for the next installment in the series!!
8:22 HI MY NAME IS CAR AND I MADE THIS SONG FOR EVERYONE
YOURSELF HIT SINGLE MENTIONED 🗣🗣🗣
Loving the lore being explained bit by bit, hope to see some more development! And if you're ever looking for a voice actor I would love to audition for any future roles!
5:35 HOLY that practical prop looks amazing 👍👏👏👏👏👏👏
I am so happy this series didn't just vanish like Gemini Home Entertainment.
Man, what ever happened to Gemini? It was so good.
I mean, canonically it is one of the rarest species of the Vita Carnis.
We got an elder trimming, elder meat snake, and elder mimic, now all that’s left is what an elder harvester or elder host looks like (Patty still look adorable :D).
id assume an elder host would be next due to the fact they become elders by over-eating
“The specimen was now an acceptable size for us to begin”
“That’s quite the meatsnake…”
Bro this is a cult classic🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Real
08:07 the bug with climbing sounds made me laugh so hard! haha
Oh my favorite TH-camr just posted can't wait to fall asleep
They made a meat snake depressed
Remember to give your meat snake a pumpkin for enrichment!
Everyone knows meat snakes need to move to property digest food or they get gassy!
Meat snake with pumpkin head when, Darian?
I could joke that "haha, people find the 7 sins absolutely everywhere" but holy shit this actually makes sense
I wonder what enhanced abilities an elder trimming has?
The work you’ve been putting into this whole series has been probably the best effort I’ve ever seen great job👍👍👍👌👌👌
7:21 I just realized that the bulge in the mattress is the mimic trying to hide. It’s hoping that they won’t notice it’s there and come into its cell in a panic to be eaten. It’s starving and it’s desperate. That’s terrifying.
it's me, the person who feels bad for the hungry Mimic even though they're dangerous and awful
No one said for them to be so picky 🙄
The pratical effects voice work and style are excellent. Thank y'all for all this work and time. The quality is superb!
I'm sorry but as soon as I saw the meatsnake I was like "HOLY SHIT THEY HAVE A MEATSNAKE PROP, ITS SO CUTEE!'
FINALLY bro I've been waiting for this
so it seems like humanity has caged the singularity- OH NO THE SINGULARITY COMMITED SUICIDE-
Why would the singularity want to stop existing unless it was to stop the researchers from analysing it
@@yes-sj3pd uhhhhhhhhhhh

bro omg i love your stuff so much you have no idea how much of an inspiration you are to me
6:13 OH that's terrifying
That was excellent! It really scratched my itch for the mimic and helped add more mystery to that oh so lovely meat snake. The last part has good sound design, too. Altogether great. Keep em coming, Darian!
8:06 i love this little bug
Love the added touch in the credits! Cleaner #2 was the star of the show
great video, time to watch it
The way you shot that minic prop was super well done. I have to admit I was worried about how the prop would look from the progress shots but you didn't let us look at it for too long so it really worked.
4:31 Definitely not a reference to the boiled one.
Just keeps getting better and better!
8:25 why do i feel like this is hinting at something
Chain link fence is kind of like a mesh?
Foreshadowing is a literary device in which-
So glad this is back. Loving all the new lore and biology of the vita Carnis creatures, next episode can’t get here fast enough!
Ayyy, we hereeee !
Each video gets better and better. I love the researcher view the videos now have. Especially a fan of the meat snake prop and the mimic props.
& now the privated video will stay in my watch later playlist forever
You absolutely cooked with this one keep up the good work :D
Dang for one second i couldn't believe my luck and thought ww were getting more already.
Funny I just checked if this channel uploaded anything on a whim, good timing.

NEW EP LEST GO
I think I said this in the original I forgot 🥲
Always love seeing practical effects and this still looks awesome! Keep it up!
Elder Trimming moment. 4:32
Now that we’ve got another elder, I fear the arrival of elder monoliths, harvesters, and hosts of influence.
I’m finally under a hour
-love ur stuff and u’re creative man!
A day with Vita Carnis is a good day!!! 🔥🔥🔥
the meant snake puppet looks amazing! I love the combination of animation and practical effects, it really brings it all together!!
