Guys, i have a theory. On the first episode of Vita Carnis they said to us that the Vita Carnis started to appear somewhere in 1931, and on this episode they tell us that the Singularity turns dead corpses into Crawl, well my theory is that the Singularity appeared somewhere beetween 1914 and 1931, then the singularity started to eat the corpses of the millions of dead soldiers, also on the same graph there's a second Vita Carnis boom that started on the 1940's, right after WW2 ended, and basically the Singularity turned all dead soldiers corpses into Crawl creating the Vita Carnis species. So yeah guys, that's my theory.

it would most likely eat the cats and dogs given that they are part of a juvenile mimics diet, but seeing them try and domesticate a mimic in someway would probably be one of the coolest things to see come out of the series, even if it doesnt work and they are hard wired to kill, we could potentially see if mimics have a concept of familial relations, like imagine the mimic tearing its way through the facility (cause at this point its probably gonna happen given what we know about the species) but it gets to a researcher that treated it well while it was young and it hesitates killing them, even for a second it hesitates, even if they kill the researcher that would still be really cool
Mini theory: the life cycle segment is showing that the carnis species is devided into segments Maggots or larvae being the crawl Pupae are likely the various members of the carnis species, the intermediate periods. And the beetle represents the singularity that, like a beetle, turns a corpse into a ton of maggots (or in the singulatities case, the crawl)
These "laughing" sounds at 3:04 make me believe that the singularities are not only fully conscious, but also seem to mock the scientists studying it. It's probably only letting them keep it in a containment cell just to see what they do with it, and could probably escape and kill every scientist in the facility within minutes if it really wanted to.
Should be noted The beetles they talk about are darkling beetles. Both them and there larvae (mealworms) are known to eat just about anything and are mainly scanvengers. Very similar to how trimmings are known to eat just about everything as well

I'm too late to see this, god I missed this series so much! I remember discovering it like 1 year ago, I personllay love the part of the singularity being portrayed like some plasma balls with the red effects inside of them is really cool
I found the random “Circle of Life” video really interesting, and I wanted to share my theory on it. My theory is that the beetles represent the Crawl, and how it grows and grows and eventually lays “eggs” (the nodes of meat that grow on Crawl branches and become the Carnis) I also think the predators mentioned are talking about us, the human population. The citizens of the world are clearly not happy about the Carnis and begin destroying their own neighborhoods (as evident by the constant fires and protests mentioned in the beginning) But as mentioned, as long as the cult stays in power and The Crawl keeps growing, the Carnis will remain
I feel like the cult isn’t as powerful but I get your point Edit: personally I say the beetle represents a mimic they have one stage where they forage for anything they can find before becoming an adult, one of the “threats” shown are ants which represent us as we use our to our advantage, beetles also eat ants just like how mimics eat humans
You are truly pushing yourself, new animations, new ways the video is presented - you don't just do the same over and over, like some other analog horror creators. Respect, keep up the good work!
So, not only are the trimmings intelligent enought to associate sound cues with a positive or negative outcome, they also are able to communicate these findings with others nearby. That leads me to this conclusion: either they share some kind of hive-mind/shared intelligence with nearby vita carnis, or they are otherwise able to communicate in a way that isn't visible. Do they use radio or EMF to communicate? Do they communicate through sound? This is such an amazing and well thought Analog horror series... P.S. Darian Quilloy, do you have a background in STEM? As an aspiring ecologist, I love to see this kind of stuff becoming popular.
i've theorized they have a hive mind/information collection network via the trimmings since the trimming pet care video where it emphasized talking to the trimmings and telling them about your personal life
I absolutely adore how much yall go into the science of these creatures. I love learning about that aspect in these series and yet it’s one aspect that’s so heavily neglected by most. Either because they don’t know enough about biology to make smth up, or because they don’t find that part interesting. I think it really sets a series apart and pulls me in. Then again, I love learning about anatomy of different creatures.

Very effectively pulling at my heartstrings through that pavlovian conditioning experiment with the trimmings. Little guy was traumatised by cold water and a beep sound.. His reaction made me immediately feel upset on his behalf, I actually leaned slightly forward as if I wanted to go and help him through the screen. Absolutely amazing work with the stopmotion/puppetry in this video!
Dude the poor Trimming when it got hit with the water I feel bad for the little goober it looked so upset something I'd also like to add is I really like how the trimmings look like they are made of meat here
We now know a lot more about Trimmings and the role they play, but we still know so little about what Meat Snakes do for the Vita Carnis aside from consume meat and bones. Perhaps they build up large amounts of biomass and make their way to a Singularity to die, becoming a huge Crawl nest to give birth to more Vita Carnis and finishing their "Circle of Life"
The cult is inconsequential; the prince's status was discussed by the island critters, and they decided not to help him, as his magic was threatening. Some of the critters did anyway, and all they did was hasten his awkening - but he was always going to awaken, wether those critters were found out or not. When the life cycle ends and death is victorious, the species simply has to wait for its eggs to hatch anew.
After the last couple years of almost every analog horror series using “spooky mysterious cult” as a lazy catch-all explanation for the propagation of the horrors, it was both immensely funny and extremely satisfying to see the reveal that the Carnis cult got taken down offscreen between seasons and are seemingly no longer a significant player in the series
Anyone else feel really bad for the Trimmings in here? Like there's a good chance they're being used for nefarious reasons by the Singularity, but they seem like the most harmless Vita Carnis creatures, the one that was being tested on did kinda upset me.

Now that i think about it, maybe the trimmings are just messengers for the other entities which could explain how the mimics would know how to blend in this fast. The trimmings acting as pets to learn what humans do for a living would explain why they exist in the first place. Every entities must have a purpose to maybe serve a single entity that potentially is unkown because it's hiding?

it would most likely eat the cats and dogs given that they are part of a juvenile mimics diet, but seeing them try and domesticate a mimic in someway would probably be one of the coolest things to see come out of the series, even if it doesnt work and they are hard wired to kill, we could potentially see if mimics have a concept of familial relations, like imagine the mimic tearing its way through the facility (cause at this point its probably gonna happen given what we know about the species) but it gets to a researcher that treated it well while it was young and it hesitates killing them, even for a second it hesitates, even if they kill the researcher that would still be really cool
Mini theory:
the life cycle segment is showing that the carnis species is devided into segments
Maggots or larvae being the crawl
Pupae are likely the various members of the carnis species, the intermediate periods.
And the beetle represents the singularity that, like a beetle, turns a corpse into a ton of maggots (or in the singulatities case, the crawl)
“We hatched one mimic, we’re sending it to the enclosure”
Oh no
They have an enclosure for mimics?!?
Where are they getting their feed from..? Mimics don't eat corpses that they haven't killed themselves right? 😀
It immediately gave me the vibes of the Russian Soviets trying to contain a demogorgon in Stranger Things
@@leolion3323 i think they go the scp path and sacrifice death row inmates
Mimics only consume human flesh after reaching adulthood, so they’ll probably feed them death row inmates or donated bodies
These "laughing" sounds at 3:04 make me believe that the singularities are not only fully conscious, but also seem to mock the scientists studying it. It's probably only letting them keep it in a containment cell just to see what they do with it, and could probably escape and kill every scientist in the facility within minutes if it really wanted to.
but if it according to the secret book story, singularities try to help this earth from the hunger maybe it trying to help someways?

The beetles they talk about are darkling beetles.

Oh my gooosh the trimmings are so cute. Horrifying but cute. They're just little guysss.
I feel like the cult isn’t as powerful but I get your point
Edit: personally I say the beetle represents a mimic they have one stage where they forage for anything they can find before becoming an adult, one of the “threats” shown are ants which represent us as we use our to our advantage, beetles also eat ants just like how mimics eat humans

You are truly pushing yourself, new animations, new ways the video is presented - you don't just do the same over and over, like some other analog horror creators. Respect, keep up the good work!
9:36 bro the Timmy the trimming didn’t deserve that
So, not only are the trimmings intelligent enought to associate sound cues with a positive or negative outcome, they also are able to communicate these findings with others nearby.
As an aspiring ecologist, I love to see this kind of stuff becoming popular.
i've theorized they have a hive mind/information collection network via the trimmings since the trimming pet care video where it emphasized talking to the trimmings and telling them about your personal life
@@spadesart Not to mention it also mentions how they like to listen to the radio, which could likely be a vector for communication between Trimmings.
Yes, finally we’ve been waiting centuries

seeing the trimming get excited when the ding happened was so cute, but its screaming of fear from the water was so sad.

From based on the story that we’ve seen the monolith are the creatures that are protecting the prince, which, in this case would be the singularity once the singularity awakens we are cooked
I'm surprised by how much I care about the well-being of the trimmings 😭
