    The jumping is due to the internal gear mechanism, more precisely due to the resulting tolerances chain that results in the slight play you can feel between rotating the crown either direction and the minute hand actually beginning to move. For me what worked was to advance the minute hand to a fixed hour point (12,3,6,9 I found work best; which means setting or better said "calibrating" the watch at certain times in a day for best result); after advancing the minute hand dead on 12 o'clock, reverse the crown to remove play until the hand barely starts moving and not rotate the crown at all, even when pushing it back in. I just wait using time.is for a 9:00:00 and then push the crown in just like when triggering a stop-watch. Like that, you've calibrated (not merely set) your quartz Timex to an infallible precision and for the duration of the battery you will not need to readjust it granted that you're not traveling. Hope this helps. Works for both the TW2U78400 (which I presume has the same movement as the men's Q day-date) and the T2N721. Hope this helps someone!

    The way the minute hand jumps around when you push in the crown is my number one complaint about the Q!

      Hey great to have you visit my channel Austin, love your vids...I must get to Japan some time. 😊 Yeah that’s a real pain about the minutes hand but always have to take into account price point...Rolex it’s not so taking that into account it’s a great fun time piece 😃

    Well done Ghislain. I too have a Q Timex and even though it has many flaws, I still find it to be a fun little watch.

    It is simply impossible to have the second hand and minute hand to agree spot on. I guess i have to accept that

    The hacking feature on my Q Timex has failed. When I pull the crown to the second position, that second hand carries on uninterrupted. Really disappointing.

      I'm afraid that does not surprise me, the build quality is not the best.

    • @E-Kat
      @E-Kat ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@RichReviews_you're right! I'm trying to replay the video and there's absolutely no any music at the beginning,! But what I heard were a consecutive very loud bangs, sounding like bad music! I've tried to hear it on other devices and there's nothing at the beginning of after!
      So, I'm sincerely sorry for this! Do you reckon this might've been an attempt to place a commercial, which was aborted? I don't have problems with my hearing.
      Thank you for your video. Sorry again.

      Interesting, to be honest I have no idea, there are no loud bangs edited into the video. 🤷‍♂️
