This is not how to do it. To change the date, gently pull the adjuster to the FIRST click then turn. That sets the date. Pull to the second click and turn, that sets the day and time. This TH-camr pulls the adjuster out too far in his early demonstration. Again, it’s a gentle pull to the first click to change date, then pull to second click for day and time.
Actually, Kenan does stumble on setting the date correctly. After he pulls the crown out too far he does click into the proper place to set the date. Watch at the 3:50 mark as he turns the crown only the date moves.
This helped me with the day function. As for the early part of the video: the reason it is so hard to pull the crown out that far is because IT IS NOT SUPPOSED TO COME OUT LIKE THAT.
I got the same watch, that's shown in this video, in the mail today from walmart.com I found a small indentation under its stem, that let me easily get a fingernail behind its stem and pull it out either part way or all the way. I can see the indentation, when I turn the watch upside down. This watch seems to have almost everything, that an inexpensive watch could have.
There should be a teeny tiny push tab under the case back, you have to pop the case back off to get to it, close to where the crown stem pushes into the movement that you depress to pull the crown stem out. They aren't designed to just be pulled out by force. I have a very similar indiglo. You can find images of where this push tab is by Googling "How to release the crown stem from a Timex Indiglo watch. The tab is extremely small, you'll probably want to wear some magnifying glasses or use one of those 1 piece magnifiers that you hold with your eye, I think they're called a monocal. I'm surprised you didn't break something pulling that stem out like that.
Well, I wish I’d read your comment first as I just broke the stem by pulling it out. The piece went flying somewhere in my office, lost in the abyss. Really upset about this video’s advice.
@@colinwhite9065 Maybe try to find an old junk watch for parts with the same type of crown and buy it cheap for parts or possibly a watch parts website might have a replacement. I've purchased vintage watches cheap just to get a part or three that I need to get a nice one running again. It can be done! 👍
Hi, thanks for the tutorial. I tried just spinning the crown in the time set up level, and in about the spin 20 clockwise it changed the date. Tried it several times and keeps working.
That’s because you tan the watch thru 24 hours so of course it changes the day. It has a date function barely pull the crown out just a touch if the second hand stops it’s too far out. It’s hard to hit the spot but if you do you can then set the date part the number of the day but not the word day part that as far as I’ve found has to be set in time mode and going thru 24 hours
Too much information on the description. However, mentioning to turn the hands around for 24hr cycle will trip the date to change helped to solve my question…. Thank you!!!
It's not a bad looking watch. Indiglo is always great. The 30 meters water resistance could be better, but it isn't horrible. The design for the day/date setting process is really poor. Timex could do better. Be good!✌🏽👍🏽
SET THE DATE/NUMBER FIRST THEN START TURNING BACKWARDS TO CHANGE DAY/M,T,W,T,F,S,S........... MIGHT NEED TO CYCLE TIME TO CORRECT WHICH 12 HOUR SEQUENCE YOU ARE IN...........
This is complete wrong. I’ve been wearing these watches for 20 years. I don’t know about watch forums, but it sounds like those guys don’t know what they’re talking about either. According to the instructions: You pull the crown out fully to set the time. By the way, I don’t know why (or how) you’re pulling your crown out so far. Mine won’t even go out that far. You pull the crown out and rotate to set the time (as you showed). You pull the crown our HALF WAY (or from having it out to set the time, you push it in half way) to rotate the date. The instructions on every Timex Expedition style Indiglo watch I’ve had is the same. Crown HALF WAY OUT to set date.
This is not how to do it.

Hey, was wondering how you change day, I have the number down, but it seems like it stays on Thursday, thanks
You’re absolutely right. I’m actually surprised this TH-camr didn’t break his watch.
This helped me with the day function.

My man!!!! Thanks for info to change the day!!!
Thank you, I was finally able to set my dads watch thanks to your video ❤
thank you bro couldn't find help anywhere
Set it to 1.5 speed. Thank me later
This comment should be pinned, and the video actually starts at 2:36, by the way.

Wow thank you so much
Thanks!
Always had the day issue thank you so much for this was insightful I’ve had my silver timex watch the indiglo for 7 years now
It was this video what finally helped me solve my date issue. Thank You!!!!
NEVER pull the pin all the way out. Adjust the time manually until you reach the 24th hour of adjustment. That will change the Day.
Tysm
thanks this helped set the date on my new watch
Thank you for solving this mystery!
Thanks for the help I’ve just got the same watch. A Christmas gift to myself.
Thank you for making this video. It has really helped me.
You are the best
Bro! You just broke the crown ! Just pull it with gentle move and you will change the day and date

@@colinwhite9065 Well that's no fun!
Hopefully you didn't break anything difficult or expensive to replace.
Found the stem piece. It didn’t just pop out, it’s broken off. This video should be taken down IMO. Wish I’d read comments first before doing this.

That’s excellent advice. I had just replaced the battery and was going to pass down the watch to my son. Thanks again.

Great video. Helpful tip on adjusting Timex day and date function. Thanks.
Is there a way to tighten the elastic strap?

Have you ever dove down 30 meters? It’s over 98 feet underwater.
@@totallyfrozen Believe it or not, in watch engineering that means that the watch is splash resistant, good for hand washing.

Thanks man. I couldn’t have done it with out your help.
I just bought this
Ty so much
To change the date, slightly pull the pin out, but not all the way. If you pull it and the minute hand moves, you’ve pulled it too much.
How do you change the small hand
Wait
Ah! Thanks
Get to the point of the video!!!
It does state in the title that it’s also a review video. You can simply skip to the part that you need.
FYI people...I've have had my indiglo easy reader for 10 years for work and the stem just wore out
say no to drugs kids.....
I thought at first he broke it setting the date lol
bro you talk so slow no wonder the video is 8 mins😂
Why are you rating something that you probably stoled in the first place?

Yes that’s how you set the time and the date but is there an easier way to set the day the word part easier than running the hands thru 24 hours ?
Is this guy drunk?
This doesnt work-
So pissed off. I just broke the stem off my dad’s watch by pulling it out like this. Horrible advice in this video. DONT’T DO IT!
Wrong date set advise . Google. Shouldn’t give a vid if u don’t know what ur talking about. Google it like I did!
Most annoying tutorial in my life just tell me how to do the date not mumble for an hour
